I will give it a 5* as a Titanium Lifetime. We were in room 208, a great view. Paradise! Same A/C problem as some of the others, but it wasn't inconvenient too much except one sleepless night out of 6 other amazing ones. Maybe the repetitive issue motivates Mgmt. to touch base with Marriott corporate to fix this trend. Otherwise, this is the best hotel and staff on the island. Jeff at Ferninand breakfast is a true customer service expert! And Reverand was an awesome beach server/waiter. These guys understand that customers are not an inconvenience. They took care of us and always looked out for us and those they served. More people were the same. Sushi staff rocked. And the entire hotel was really refreshing. We will be back!!!

I'm a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member, and my wife and I stay at the Westin property in July 2022, we checked into our room Thursday, July 14 more or less after 5 pm. On Friday morning we notify the front desk that the room temperature was unacceptable we had an uncomfortable sleepless night since the room was hot and the A/C was not working properly just blowing fan air. On the morning of Friday, July 15, 2022, engineering came to the room and reset the thermostat to 65 degrees. At that point, we assume the issue was taken care of and went to enjoy the beautiful property. Unfortunately, Friday night was another sleepless night since the issue persisted once again Saturday. Sunday morning engineering personnel came to the room to change the vent and remove the filters and assured us it will work. I spoke with Tiffany at the front desk, and she offered to change our room in an effort to avoid the inconvenience and be able to enjoy the day, we decided to wait another day since the engineering personnel was certain that the air conditioning will work properly. Monday morning we were left with no other option than to move from room 294 to room 202 on the opposite side. While moving to the new room we encountered other guests with the same issue. This is my point I felt that management was quite not straightforward regarding this air conditioning issue since it was not an isolated issue for room 294 it was an issue on the lobby and the right side of the building. Besides the air conditioning issue, the property is beautiful and well kept the food and beverage staff goes beyond their duties to make you feel comfortable and welcome Ukayla, Chanaka, Russell, Dominiq, etc. We wish the front desk staff would've been more proactive in promoting and advertising the amazing restaurants on the property the venue at the Beach House is outstanding kudos to the chef we had an amazing dinner our first night at the property and the same goes to Woto Sushi Restaurant, and Ferdinand's staff service was outstanding. We contacted Marriott BonVoy and were assigned case number 37152842 for our complaint since we felt that during our stay at the property for 4 days we were uncomfortable and worry about dealing with air conditioning issues. I emailed the property manager, Mr. Mauer, hoping to receive fair compensation regarding this issue, but never responded Joseph Figueroa & Angeliette Hernandez

We booked a last minute getaway and it turned out to be an amazing family vacation! The hotel and staff were everything you would imagine and more. Since Covid I’ve found day to day and travel difficult with all the grumpy people. From the minute you walk through the door your at peace. The White Tea smell is heavenly and the staff were friendly and accommodating at every turn. They have every amenity yet it felt cozy to me. The beach, food and drinks were excellent! We will definitely be back.

We’ve just returned from our week long trip at Grand Cayman, where we stayed at the Westin. The resort boasts the best beach out of the three Marriott properties on the island, even touted by the local Caymanians as “best bang for your buck.” It is situated next to the Ritz and the governor’s beach, while we were there, there weren’t many non-guests occupying beach chairs as stated by othe reviews. The check-in process was smooth and seamless as always, being an ambassador member, they definitely took care of us with automatic suite upgrades without needing to prompt. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast amenities over points, we received the daily coupons along with food/beverage discount certificates, a nice touch. Each morning we had breakfast on-site at Ferdinand’s, which is connected to their dinner restaurant, The Beach house. We had phenomenal services by Dee, Denique, and Biazad. All three staff members were professional and went above and beyond what we expected, provided us with iced coffee in to-go cups for the sunny walks on the beach. We enjoyed the beach thoroughly, Melissa and Celine took care of us this time, they were wonderful. We did miss the services of Giovanni though, he was amazing during our last visit in June. We ate several times at Tortuga grill, all the servers there were courteous and helpful to our needs. When we did enjoy our dinners on-site, our go to spot was Woto, serving fresh local seafood delicacies in a Hawaiian/Japanese/Latin fusion style restaurant. The waitress (sorry couldn’t get her name) was wonderful and attentive to our needs, especially since we had our kids with us, she was very patient and catered to our needs. ALL the sushi chefs prepared our dishes superbly well. The ceviches, poke bowls, and sashimi were amazingly tasty, more importantly, materials were all super fresh! The rooms were the most updated ones amongst the three Marriott properties on the island. Daily cleaning was done very professionally. We had the pleasure of being able to reside on the first floor, the children enjoyed this very much as they were able to interact with nature quite a bit by studying the local fauna (land crabs) daily. If there is one suggestion, we would like to see the kids’ club reopen sooner rather than later, this trip we had to utilize the kids’ club at Ritz which was a pleasant surprise but still came with the inconvenience of being off-property. We look forward to our next visit, can’t wait to see everyone at Westin. Big thanks to Rosalee and team!

A pretty darn great beach vacation at the Westin… I’ll be back as soon as I can. Good location on Seven Mile Beach in relationship to what’s on either side of the hotel, making for a less crowded experience. With the demise of the beach in front of the Marriott, The Westin will become my new home away from home. Our room was ready upon early arrival and we enjoyed an upgrade experience using certificates. Typically clean and well appointed Marriott/Westin room. The pool area is large with plenty of places to nest. The swim-up bar was well staffed, stocked, and shaded. Acoustic entertainment at night was a nice touch. The beach is among the wider / deeper sand areas on the island and allows for less of a sardine experience as opposed to other resorts I’ve observed. Plenty of lounges and umbrellas. The cabana rental prices are among the most expensive I’ve ever seen a a resort… and I’ve been luckily blessed to lie in few of them around the world. But I guess shade is a commodity. Beach staff were very attentive with frequent check-ins throughout the sun basking experience. One outstanding element for my tastebuds was the on-site sushi restaurant, Woto. What a find! Great food and service. I kept going back during the course of my stay and was never disappointed. What a feather in Westin’s cap. The Bech House (evenings only) was especially tasty as well. The dumplings will go down in history as one of my all-time favorite epicurean moments. Complimentary breakfast for Titanium members at Ferdinand’s was plentiful and palate pleasing. Again with the wonderful service. All in all a positive and solid choice when visiting the Cayman’s. Service charge automatically added to all bills and I was happy to add an additional tip as the attention often warranted it.

Overall the decor of the rooms were a little underwhelming, being that this was a beach resort I did expect there to be hard wood floors and not ketchup stains in the carpet. For the amount of money I spent I would’ve expected a little bit more out of the Westin it felt like an over priced Courtyard Marriot. Nonetheless the service and amazing people that work at the hotel really make this resort worth wild. The front desk service I received was fantastic I checked in with Rosalie( please for give me if I missed spelled her name) and she was phenomenal. Extremely welcoming and gave alot of suggestions on where my friends and I should go while on the island. I also want to thank Jouri and Shan for the amazing tips and insight as well. I felt like I was talking to friends I knew for years. They were super friendly and Shan did a fantastic job at explaining my charges into details. Over by the pool bar Buddy and Jamel were so lovely and super patient with my drunk friends. Miguel was extremely helpful as well guiding us to our hotel room. So although the hotel aesthetic didn’t meet my expectation the hotel staff blew me away!!!

Been to Cayman > 20 times, and stayed at all major hotels (and minor too). My family believes the Westin is the best. The primary reason is it has the best beach - big, broad with gentle sandy slope. The steps away pool and bar right there. For aquanut - Red Sail sports has an on site shop and the boats literally pick you up on beach. Like the property refurbs - nice big coffee shop. Tremendous courteous staff - especially appreciated help of Elva, Tiffany at front, and Dmitri and colleagues at bell stand.

Me and my wife had a great time. The service was good. The beach was good. The food was good. We had a small issue with hot water for a couple of days but it finally worked out. The staff offered another room but we held out and got our hot water. They have a few kinks to work out and staff to hire, that stuff is understandable, We'll be back because they have a beach, with chairs, and umbrellas, and a friendly staff that brings food and drinks to the beach when I'm sitting in those chairs.

I would like to share some feedback and concerns I have with The Westin resort in Cayman Islands. My family and I traveled here this past week and was very excited since it was our first time traveling to the island however not our first time with The Westin. It was unacceptable and heartbreaking from start to finish. During check in, we had an amazing employee how came in on her day off. Her name was RJ. She was amazing, respectful and we couldn’t ask for a better employee to have to experience our holiday. She got us check in and we receive a upgrade due to our Marriott status and the incorrect information we were previously provided. We just needed to wait for our room to be ready. Ok no worries here right. Beautiful resort! In and out. Fees are high. Exchange rate is high too. Hours later this is when it starts to go down hill. Other representative was there now. Her name was Candice. The individual was very rude. She didn’t want to answer any of our question or concerns. She asked if we filled out paperwork we advised yes because we did. Finally after 4-5 hours we received our keys to our room. So we thought. The room she gave us was not our room. My family was exhausted at this time so we just settled. The website advertised 24 hour room service. This is false it closes at 9pm. Next day went to about our time for holiday. Yay so we think. The Westin had held not one, not two but three holds on my account totaling over few grands. The Westin basically rob us from enjoying our holiday. Once we got back to the hotel after being embarrassed, went to the front desk and explained what was going on. Candice there again, explaining the issues her response was we must not be use to holds because they are suppose to hold. Yes we are very use to holds but not three totaling over quite a few grands! Went down the next morning to see a manager because no one was helping. Candice was there again this time she was worst. Way more ruder and disrespectful from the last time. One great thing is another employee was there in shocked how she was talking to us and came to our aid immediately. Elva and I forgot the lady name were really nice in helping us. They seen the information notice that Candice voided our original check in and recharged it and some other things at different times during the day. Not sure why she did this. The holds did not come off until the day we were checking out. Candice did good job ruining our holiday. Even with that. I will still give 4 stars. Can’t let one bad thing ruin everything.

We came back to Grand Cayman after waiting for 2 1/2 years from Covid restrictions. We had been here in 2019 and stayed at the Turtle’s Nest Inn in Bodden Town. We rebooked to stay again, under the new name Seabreeze Villas this time too. Unfortunately, our condo was broken into by means of a crowbar through the kitchen window and my purse was stolen with all my money, credit cards drivers license in it. After sorting out our losses we immediately called the Westin to see what they could do to help us. We could not stay at the Seabreeze Villas one more minute. The Westin did everything the other place should have. They offered us nothing but immediate hospitality. The first person who met us at check in, Candice, saw the notes from my husbands call earlier. She deeply apologized for what we had been through, and did everything she could to make our stay as wonderful and healing as possible and continued to do so until we checked out. Because of this, we will return to Grand Cayman, and we will stay with the Westin. We are grateful for their professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond to make our trip not a complete loss.
