We booked a catamaran from MedCaribbean based out of JY Harbour Marina. It was an ideal, smaller marina so it was a very pleasant experience to getting our boat. A nice grocery store within a very short walk made provisioning a breeze. While we waited for our paperwork to be completed our crew had a nice lunch overlooking the Marina. A "stylish" restaurant by day with covered outdoor seating and an enclosed air conditioned area if you desired with a well stocked bar. There was a euro-like pastry shop plus alittle ice cream store. So what more could you ask for! Easy in-out with the boat, provisioning, pleasant people and dining. A one stop shop!
A group of six had chartered from medi carribean who's base is here. We arrived into Tortola Early evening and enjoyed a simple but lovely supper in the restaurant. Nothing fancy but great burgers and fish sandwiches in relaxed atmosphere. Lovely friendly staff and great pool if you wanted a refreshing dip. The bakery a few yards away had great banana bread and cakes for breakfast too.
We booked 2 rooms but on arrival they only had 1 room available for 3 people on 2 small beds. Ended up going to another hotel. I don't recommend booking here. After 2 weeks of sailing we were all looking forward to having our own bathroom and nice bed.
Enjoyed a refreshing dip in cool pool and a cold Presidente poolside. Small Marina 3 miles from Beef Island Tortola Airport. Fantastic views of islands. Happy hour only on Fridays. Did not eat yet but food looks yummy. Quiet & very clean two shower stalls and laundry mat close by with charming help.
I rarely give poor reviews, but this establishment truly earned this one, summarized below: * A downstairs bakery that offers pastries is not a breakfast. You are better served going next door to the mart where you may find hot eggs, bacon, etc. This establishment does not meet even the most basic definition of a bed and breakfast. This is like a motel, you have a room with a small bathroom and you enter from the outside. You have a small microwave, coffee pot, and small fridge in your room. * One cleaning in four days. * An apparently blood trash can. The "blood" is is on the front, extremely obvious, never addressed. That is messed up (picture provided). * No internet for four days, especially challenging since I did not sign up for an international plan during my four-day visit. Numerous notifications of this challenge were made, and based on results, apparently never addressed. * Communications further compounded as there is no phone in the room to notify of any problems or make any requests, nor is anyone generally in the office past 1700 if you need any assistance. * At no point during the numerous complaints we made did the management follow up with us or ensure we had what we needed. * The bed is uncomfortable, TV has only a few basic channels. * We lost power on at least three occasions, two of which exceeded an hour. This is not unusual, but it did seem odd the next door mart and places across the street always had power. This place may be useful if you are simply wanting to stay overnight nearby to the airport for an early check out, but beyond that, I strongly urge you find one of the numerous other options available for lodging accommodations.…
