Its location high on Windy Hill sets The Heritage Inn apart from other accommodations on the British Virgin Island of Tortola. The sweeping vista encompasses lush mountains and the sugary beaches of Apple and Long bays to the south, Jost Van Dyke due west and the open Caribbean beyond. On clear nights, St. Thomas’ lights twinkle in the distance. The... More

Basic, clean quite affordable and VERY comfortable... with a view to die for!! The sunsets and "The lights of St. Thomas are twenty miles west" will take your breath away. The staff is simply delightful. The pool was refreshing and the Bananakeet restaurant and bar fabulous! We will return!! Thanks for a fantastic, much-needed vacation!!

Very mixed feelings about this place. Great view, great location if you want to eat dinner at the Bananakeet Café and not drive anywhere after a couple drinks; otherwise, it's halfway up a windy steep hill, and parking can be problematic. Inn offers pretty good value, with a full kitchen for self-catering, but is surprising cheap in some respects by... More

You cannot beat the view from your balcony. Each sunset was beautiful. The restaurant was very good and definitely recommend having dinner here to watch the sun go down. Our room was not so great but it was clean, which is my main concern with a room. For the money charged they need to repair things and update things. Screens... More

We spent a few days at the Heritage Inn in January. We arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning. We had no problems at all checking in quite late, or leaving early. Rosa and the rest of the staff took care of us the entire time we were there, and made sure that we had everything... More

We planned a trip to Tortola for my husbands 80th Birthday. By the time we left there were 8 of us. One of the couples were celebrating there 50th Anniversary too. We stayed at the Heritage Inn on Carrot Bay in Tortola. We had a two bedroom room for two couples nothing fancy but clean and the view was GREAT.... More

We just returned from a week in BVI, staying at the Heritage Inn. As everyone has said the view is spectacular, whether you are sitting on he balcony in the morning with a cup of coffee, or in the evening watching the sunset with a glass of wine, the view can't be beat. The service here is very good, Rosa,... More

I had stayed at The Heritage Inn for around 10 days in July 14' with another two people. The actual apartment was very good, with room service every day or two, bar a sunday. You get the basics, oven hobs, fridge. TV in the living room, couches etc. The bedrooms were very clean, both had air con and the balcony... More

Where do I start. First of all this hotel is an extremely good value as has been recognized on Tripadvisor. The view from the hotel and the restaurant is spectacular, and I mean....Incredibly spectacular (please check my pics and they don't do it justice). The food at the Bananakeet Restaurant is as good as there is on Tortola. The service... More

After reading the reviews (and they are good) I can honestly say that this property is better than what I read. The views from over 500 ft. above the sea, make for glorious unobstructed sunsets. You can identify many islands on the water and the open feel on this cliff side hotel and restaurant will warm your heart. The laid... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Heritage Inn is just what you want if you are looking for the total getaway. The Inn is located on the hilltop of a sleepy village: Carrot Bay, on the north side of Tortola. These comfortable apartments offer probably the most breathtaking views on the island: "voted Best sunset view in the BVI!" 180 degrees east and west and overlooking Jost Van Dyke, Sandy & Green Cays and three Tortola bays. This locally owned inn is quaint and quiet. Each suite has a private view-facing balcony and is furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living room and AC king-size bed in bedrooms. Three suites have two bedrooms for family or friendly vacationers. Six, clean and comfortable, one bedroom suites also offer enough space to just forget your cares and hang out for a week. The views are so beautiful that most guests just "gape" for the first few days. In the summer the sun sets directly over the water. It is so beautiful that the locals go up for sunset cocktails at the BananaKeet Cafe on the poolside veranda to watch the sun setting over the awesome horizon. It's no wonder the slogan reads... the Higher you Get... the Better the Views!! ... more   less
