I arrived at the property at 8.20pm. There was no one at the reception desk. They had emailed me to ask what time I was arriving and I replied between 8-9pm. . There was no one present, I dialled the number on the desk but there was no reply. I met a couple of the long term residents and they tried their best to locate someone to check me in. After about 1 hour 30 minutes I decided it was getting late and needed to find somewhere else. I got a taxi and it dropped me to three places before I could find an available room. The other room was twice the price. To be fair i was refunded the money for the room by Eduardos inn the next day. I was not happy as I had wasted 2.5 hours , between going there, waiting around, then getting the taxi to find alternate accomadation, and had to pay twice as much as originally intended. On looking at previous reviews it seems very hit and miss, the last review on trip advisor had a similar problem to me , they had to wait 2 hours before someone came to the desk.…
After preparing and saving for a very long time, we went o a student trip to Saint Martin. To our suprise we found that the most lovely Inn on Expedia was a bust. It l started when we arrived. There was no one to attend us and after calling and waiting for almost 2 hours someone presented themselves. After a bad service we were escorted to our let's call it nasty nasty room. We were promised a full refund and to our surprise after 2 weeks back, we were informed that we would not get our money back. Bad service, nasty room, unsafe neighborhood, no parking
I stayed here for one night after a sailing charter. I was a little unnerved by the look of the hotel upon arrival. The street is torn up, and there's a boarded up shop on ground level. However, the receptionist was very friendly, and gave us a spacious 1 bdrm suite on the 3rd floor. It was a fairly basic suite, but this is typical of the non-corporate Caribbean hotels. In fact, this gave it a sense of charm. It was very clean, if not the most up-to-date. There was no phone, but a tv, fridge, stove, coffee maker, microwave, and wifi were all there for use. And the view from 305, looking down the main road, made up for the lack of a pool (and the beach is only a couple of minutes' walk). There's a good chance I'll be back next time I'm in SXM.
We stayed here for a week and would stay here again without hesitation. Its not the fanciest place but the location and friendly staff can't be beat. Setup with a kitchen we could stock up at the neighbor grocery store and venture out each day with our own snacks.
Booked this Inn for 2 days and wanted to immediately leave. I checked out the next morning but was never given a refund but a nasty email instead. This place has no hot water and is in no where A NICE OR LOVELY PLACE. you are better off staying up the road at flamingos resort for 20$ more and which is on the beach and newer and not a dump. Dont be fooled and for any medical students in the area DO NOT STAY HERE.
