We booked a 1 bedroom apartment at the Flamboyant through AIRBNB. The entire complex still has not recovered from the hurricane 2 years ago. When we arrived, we noticed a lot of construction going on—mostly replacing roofs and other structural projects. We did not anticipate hearing hammering, sawing, workman yelling and heavy outdoor forklifts beeping and revving their engines all around us, but that is the way it was CONSTANTLY. We settled into the apartment and went out to get something to eat. The next day we went grocery shopping to avoid some of the noise. When we tried to cook something (there is no stove, only an electric cooktop and a microwave), the microwave did not work. We notified the “caretaker” of the unit and he came down to look at the microwave and just shrugged his shoulders. The next day we tried to wash dishes in the dishwasher. It did not work either. We again notified Michelle. He came down and looked at it and just shrugged his shoulders. A couple of days later, we got a knock on the door and there were two of the construction supervisors there telling us that they were going to replace the door to the apartment. They said that we needed to be there when they did. They said the guy would start in about an hour and the change would take about 45 minutes. 2-1/2 hours later the door replacement guy come by and 3 hours later the door replacement was finished. The replacement door looks like a bank vault door, so that should give you some indication of the fact there is no security at the compound. We spent our days going to various beaches we had been to the last time we were in St. Martin to avoid the construction chaos at the compound. The next day Michelle showed up with a new microwave and we made sure it worked. He still had no answer for the dishwasher. One morning, after we ate breakfast, we went out to get in our rental car to drive to a beach. We found that someone or something had torn off the passenger side mirror. We took the car to the rental agency (Discount Car Rental which is right down the street) and showed the manager. He said to bring it back the next morning and he’d have it fixed. The next day I took the car there and the manager said they’d have it fixed in 45 minutes. I walked back to the apartment and figured I’d give them 2 hours. I was right. When I walked back over the guy was just finishing the replacement mirror. Last night we noticed there was water dripping from the ceiling in the bathroom. We notified Michelle again and he came down to check it out and just shrugged. He told us that nobody was living in the apartment upstairs and he didn’t know who might have a key. Today we got in the car with our new mirror and went to a beach. When we got back to the apartment there was water also dripping from the ceiling in the living room and there were puddles of water all over the tile floor. We e-mailed the owner of the apartment (who resides in France) and voiced our dissatisfaction with everything that has gone wrong and warned her that, if she doesn’t do something about the water leaking from the above apartment, her ceiling is liable to collapse. We have NEVER experienced such a disappointing vacation stay, and we have one more week to go here. We also intend to notify AIRBNB about the disastrous conditions at this complex. IT IS TERRIBLE.

First impression 👎🏾 looks like a vacant building under construction LITERALLY. No pool no beach EVERYTHING DESTROYED. DONT LET OLD PICS OF THIS PLACE BEFORE IRMA CONFUSE YOU. Apartment itself was decent nice btrm but THERE'S NO WASH RAGS, HARD BED, TV ONLY IN FRENCH CANT CONVERT TO ENGLISH. Weird sockets that doesn't fit average plug. Couldn't charge none of electronic devices. Completely dark on street and parking lot at night not safe whatsoever. Need car because there's no taxi no nothing it's like living in a secluded foreign area. Not good for tourists at all.. stay on Dutch side near the Atrium hotel area if possible.

Rented a condo for a month at this location. A Rental car is a must for this location as it is not close to attractions, beaches, larger super markets and restaurants. The condo was essentially a hotel room modified to accommodate a kitchenette located on the large balcony. Outside dinning was very pleasant. The property is on the lagoon side with a beach front but swimming was not advised. The pools however were very nice.

A friend and I stayed here via Cheap Caribbean and loved it. It was a quiet area, we felt safe, and the free parking was great. We loved the kitchen outside. Our room overlooked the lagoon, pool, and had a view of the city, perfect for watching the sunset. The room was clean, comfortable, and the AC worked great. Right outside the hotel is a small cafe and pizza place. A supermarket not too far away. Definitely rent a car if you're staying here. The pool was great to swim after the sun went down and just relax. The lagoon is not a place to swim. There are boats in the water and god knows what is in there. You have to travel to Orient Bay, Mullet Bay, or any other place if you want to swim in the ocean. But it was a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable place to stay for a few days. Definitely would stay again.

Horrible after a few days we left and stayed at a different hotel the couch was ripped and the cleaning lady put a sheet where it was ripped . The twin beds were put next to each other to make a king bed but the sheets were separated that me and my husband couldn't sleep together due to the bed splitting in 2 . The shower was broken old old dirty furniture and did I mention that when we would come home at night my husband would have to walk in first to kill all the bugs spread out on the floor door door knob and when I walked through all I can see was bloody dead bugs everywhere and worms that made it indoor . Finally last straw was no water sorry we ran out of water can't shower can't flush can't brush ur teeth wash ur hands at that point we left , horrible experience never wanna go back to st Martin because if this hotel .
