Our stay at Stonefield Villa Resort was AMAZING to say the least. We were greeted at reception with a yummy welcome drink then shown to our villa. The walk to our secluded villa, the “Manchineel Villa”, where we stayed was beautiful with a long path of flowers and plants. We were given a cell phone to use during our stay in which we could contact the front desk for anything we needed. Housekeeping also called in the mornings to ask if we would be needing their service each day. The view from our deck was breathtaking seeing the Piton to the left and the ocean in front of us. We used the large plunge pool almost every day for a quick dip and relaxed on the hammock. The room was spacious with a walk-in closet, his and her sinks, and very comfortable bed. The outdoor shower topped it all off. The AC also worked great. There is a shuttle provided to go to the Malgretoute beach each day. Here they have on-beach services that will get you anything you need during your time including fantastic drinks, food, and water activity equipment. The snorkeling was great right off the beach. We also booked a snorkeling trip though the resort. They showed us around the island with some great sightseeing and fun education. We stopped at 2 locations to snorkeling and stayed in for about an hour at each. There were lots of different fish and coral to see at both locations. We booked the all-inclusive package, and it was well worth it. We had all our meals at The Mango Tree Restaurant. The service was amazing with very friendly and attentive staff. The food was marvelous with local and fresh ingredients which made the food very flavorful. The menu had many different options and dinner menu changed every night. Thursday night was a buffet style dinner and we certainly went back for seconds! There was also a DJ there that night that played fun music making a great atmosphere. The mixed drinks and wine were also great every day and food portions are large. Overall our stay was beyond perfect. All of the staff was helpful and friendly, the resort has amazing scenery with something new to see every day, and our private villa was extraordinary. We will definitely be back!…
What can we say...Stonefield was everything that we wanted and needed our honeymoon to be! First and foremost we want to thank Stonefield for their flexibility. We were originally supposed to travel in September, however a very active Atlantic storm season had us looking down the barrel of a full week of rain and wind, with the possibility of a hurricane. After chatting with us Stonefield allowed us to rebook any time in the next 12 months with no penalty! So we chose January and the choice was PERFECT. Stonefield is a romantic, relaxing paradise. Despite being a resort property our personal villa left us feeling completely secluded, as if we had a rainforest all to ourselves. The privacy was calming and relaxing and made just hanging around our villa a treat in itself. The villa itself was well put together, with our own "plunge" pool for floating or cooling off whenever we wanted - and the pool even had colored lights for night swimming! The hammock and porch furniture were perfect for relaxing and having a morning cup of coffee, or just taking a breather. The bed in the villa was huge and quite comfortable - and there was plenty of storage and bathroom space to make the villa complete. And the outdoor shower was so wonderful! Nothing like getting clean and taking in the tropical sun at the same time. As for the rest of the resort they have it gorgeously tucked away within the forest. There is a nice short walking path through the rainforest to the Ancient Petroglyphs that are represented in Stonefields logo. Then it is a very short distance to their on-site farm that provides all of the fruits and vegetables served at their restaurant, The Mango Tree. Personally, we loved The Mango Tree. There are breathtaking views of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea - an absolutely wonderful place to take in a meal (and a sunset!) We booked our stay with an all-inclusive package that allowed us to eat and drink to our hearts desire the entire stay. All of the menus have a wide variety of food to choose from, allowing a little something for everybody. They also did a good job of updating certain parts of the menus throughout the week so that the options felt stale. We definitely doubled-up on some items throughout the week but that was only because they were so delicious! Finally, the excursions offered by Stonefield are definitely worthwhile! We highly recommend the Tet Paul Trail, the Sunset Cruise and taking advantage of their numerous shuttles to some of the best beaches on the island! One GREAT tip that several people at Stonefield gave us is that there are NO PRIVATE BEACHES on St. Lucia. So if you choose to spend a day at the nearby Sugar Beach or up at Anse Chastenet do NOT let their employees tell you otherwise! They can charge for their beach chairs but not the beach itself!. The only hiccup we could find with their tours was in the Sulfur Spring tour. While the tour is definitely worthwhile ( very informative and ends with a healthy mud-bath near the springs) it is billed to have "bubbling pools of lava", which is not the case. St. Lucia's volcano is a caldera, with lava only existing below the earths crust. What do you do is bubbling sulfuric mud pools. Interesting in their own right, but we were a little bummed after we thought there would be lava. We suggest a quick edit to Stonefield's on-site list just to prevent future confusion! All-in-all, a VERY minor blip on what was the perfect honeymoon. Many thanks to the Stonefield team! We'll be back as soon as possible!…
Most beautiful view from villa and restaurant. Felt safe during covid. Loved the orchid villa. Room has ac and screens so if you keep door to kitchen and bathroom shut no bugs. More expensive resorts like ladera and jade dont have fourth wall. Not recommended for ppl who cant climb steps or freak if you see an aunt in shower. Jungle lush and awe inspiring private views villa with decent size private pool.I would go back.!
The hotel location is just amazing - the view from the villa is breathtaking, both the ocean and Petit Peton.. Private pool, hammock, loungers made it for incredible setting to watch gorgeous sunsets. It’s as romantic as it gets. Staff was very friendly and helpful and restaurant was pretty good as well. Few things that could be improved - room itself needs a bit of a facelift.. some leaky stains on the ceiling, some cracked tiles, nothing major but noticeable. Had no hot water - granted, was fixed pretty quick when we called. Selection of tours was decent under the covid circumstances - we did the ATV which was fun but instead of 4 hours it was more like 2.5 for the price of $268 (the actual riding was a bit over an hour). So needs to be a better value for this kind of price point. Lastly - beach situation seemed too rigid where we didn’t even bother.. Two hour increments that had to be scheduled in advance. Covid compliance is understandable but something better needs to be done for beach access. …
One of the most wonderful, relaxing, and amazing places I've ever stayed. Anything you need, the staff will take care of. They give you a cell phone at check in to contact them at all times and they make any request, reality. The room was perfect. A private pool with an unrivaled view to wake up to. Hummingbirds ate daily in front of our deck. The spa will work out any tension with a top notch massage. The restaurant has 3 courses of very good food and a large drink menu. The beach is great, very low traffic, never more than 8 people were there all week. There is a bar and a staff member that stays down to assist you. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I have stayed in beautiful hotels all over the world and this place felt like home and I would recommend it HIGHLY to everyone.…
