Absolutely amazing honeymoon here stayed in the main resort for a week with one night at the end in Jade mountain. can absolutely recommend that if the option is available. From the food to the beach to the room we absolutely can not fault this resort it was true paradise. Very special little touches which made it really special for...

Well, others here have better, more complete reviews of the resort. I am writing from the perspective of an experienced SCUBA diver. After all, it is a dive resort. First, I would make sure you get a room down close to the beach. It is a steep walk up and down with your dive gear. You are welcome to leave...

We've just returned from six days at Anse Chastanet, a lovely and relaxing vacation overall, but were surprised by some basic flaws that we did not expect to find at what is frequently touted as one of the finest resort properties on the island. First the good things: Chastanet is situated in a stunningly beautiful part of the world, nestled...

I was shocked to read the negative review posted on March 24. Let me say that this wasn't our experience at all, and I went to Anse Chastanet with some hesitations. We usually take more active holidays, and I wasn't sure about a beach holiday at all. I had a positive impression of the resort from the minute we sat...

It is almost hard to believe that a place like this exists. When you open your eyes and look out from your room in the morning, you feel like you are in a Walt Disney sketch of paradise. It seems almost too perfect. The staff was considerably nice and attentive. We booked this hotel based upon the reviews we read...

We had a wonderful visit back to Anse Chastenet. We were there 19 years ago for our honeymoon and decided to return for our anniversary. The customer service was incredible! The owner of the hotel meets every guest on the Tuesday night welcome cocktail reception. We mentioned to her that we loved our balcony with an incredible view but it...

I wanted to warn others about this 3 star hotel. Pros Nice Beach, but crowded with many boats motorboats coming and going throughout the day. Not a lot of bugs. Good housekeeping. Cons Reception is appalling, when you arrive they sit you down and have you fill out forms for over 20 minutes with a crappy drink before taking you...

I admit to a fair amount of anxiety about the property leading up to my visit. At $800 per night, it is still the 4th or 5th most expensive resort in the area, and ranked only 7th of 12 hotels in Soufrieres on Trip Advisor - I worried it would not be up to standard. Fortunately, I was proven very...

We stayed at Anse Chastanet for four nights recently. It is a really special place that you can't fully appreciate until you're there. Wonderful staff, large, beautiful rooms, and a lot of privacy. We wouldn't hesitate to go back, and we hope to do so someday. The prons and cons for me were: Pros: 1. It has two great beaches....

Just returned from a weeklong stay. We stayed there three years ago, and were amazed that a resort so good could be even better. The staff seemed better coordinated, food fresher with more choices, and there is now access by footpath to their second 'wild' beach. Of course the setting is still spectacular - Anse Chastanet is a lot more...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tranquility, Romance, Adventure: What were Caribbean hotels like when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? You can still find that Classic Caribbean at Anse Chastanet on St. Lucia’s quiet southwestern coast where two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery.Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. The resort’s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish. With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one -of-a-kind resort. A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tip toe up a flower decked hillside, taking advantage of the captivating scenery all around. Anse Chastanet’s ever growing art collection provides a visual feast of its own. There are impressive wooden sculptures and plaques, earthy burlap compositions, painted “sky ceilings” and vibrant acrylic paintings invoking memories of Matisse and Picasso. And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides some guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, others head out to partake in the many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation. ... more   less
