CANADIANS Danielle and Steve Unruh felt they were being boiled alive in their jobs as health and safety advisors to the oil industry. When they sent each other drawings of their ideal place to live, both doodles depicted a house by the sea fringed by palm trees. The light bulb moment illuminated the way to the pair establishing the aptly-named...

I'm writing this review with a lump in my throat looking at pictures of The Boiled Frog. I miss our vacation cottage by the sea. We have stayed in many resorts and hotels in our travels and we can honestly say that our stay with Danielle, Steve, and their boys (yes, you too, Zeus) topped them all. This was our...

Well we are so happy that we got to share our home with you! Thank you for choosing to stay with us. With the sun so far to the south of us at the moment, that hammock in the yard is the perfect place to spend an entire afternoon in the shade of the coconut trees. We look forward to...

The owners of this guesthouse were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a relaxed stay. It is right on the water and it is possible to walk into Castries. Our room was very large and had everything we needed, including air conditioning. Breakfast was included in the price and taken on the nice...

There is not much I can add to the positive comments already left on this site, except to echo them. Staying at the Boiled Frog really is like staying with family or friends: I have never been at a hotel or guesthouse like it. The location is convenient, and the hosts very friendly and welcoming, and always ready with advice...

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for becoming part of our world for a while and thank you for sharing your thoughts about your stay here on Trip Advisor! We loved sharing our little piece of St. Lucia with you.

We recently visited St. Lucia for my daughter's wedding. The wedding was at a Sandals resort. To get the best deal on airfare from San Diego, we had to fly out a day earlier. Rather than to try to book an extra day at Sandals we chose to take in some local color. We couldn't have made a better choice...

We were at The Boiled Frog for 6 nights from Aug 5-11, 2012. We had Danielle greating us at the airport, and introduced us to her great family. We felt at home right from the beginning. Danielle prepared us a great welcoming dinner!!! We had great discussions with this very nice family. As we were the only clients during this...

I never write reviews. I love to read them. But I don't feel compelled. Not until the Boiled Frog of St. Lucia. My first solo Christmas trip with Danielle & Steve. What an extraordinary experience, home, location, and family to commune with. I felt right at home with their family and enjoyed every minute of my stay. I was so...

Steve and Danielle are the GREATEST hosts a vacationer can ask for. We had booked 7 nights for the queen room but once we got there, we'd been UPGRADED to the cottage for the same fee!! My partner found this guest house on the internet, and right from the first emails, the information, assistance and friendliness was apparent. We were asked if we wanted our fridge stocking with 'groceries' prior to our arrival, and Danielle obliged with a crate of beer! There are 2 rooms plus an attached 1-bed cottage. “I don't really think you could go wrong with any of the rooms. The Cottage is ideal if you want complete independence with its kitchen, living room and bedroom. The Reef is in between the kitchen and the other room (I forget the name) but I never heard any noise coming from either. The third room has a south-facing window that overlooks the grounds, but with air conditioning would still be comfortable. There are three family dogs on the property, but Danielle and Steve are conscientious about keeping them away from visitors if they are not comfortable with the animals - they are well behaved and fun to watch wrestling and playing with each other.”
