Joe and Maria define hospitality. With genuine joy and pride in their facility and their island, they were full of information and good humor. The guest house is cheap and cheerful with everything you could need. Convenient location, clean, and Joe and Marie were accommodating to any specific requests that we had. Thank you for the dark beer! One question:...

Without a doubt a highlight of our trip. If you want to experience the island's culture and immerse yourself with what makes this place special, this place is for you. Joe and Maria went out of their way to help, making a reservation at one of the busier restaurants and having a available bio bay tour times a phone call...

I wanted to write a little bit about the owner Joe and his hospitality. Although we did not stay at the Tropical Guest House, Joe invited us for coffee before we left the island. We both thought that was extremely kind and we chatted him up for over 30 minutes. In our opinion, this is a host that cares about...

I'm happy to review this little gem on Vieques, after finding it here on TripAdvisor. We spent one night on the island just to do kayak Bio Bay. Maria was just the sweetest and most helpful person! From texting us to confirm our arrival, making sure we were settled in the room, and giving us an awesome restaurant recommendation (see...

We spent 6 nights in Vieques and at The Tropical Guesthouse and loved it! The room was big and hade everything that we needed and was cleand every day. The bathroom is also big and the shower is great. But the best part of staying at The Tropical guesthouse is Maria and Joe! They will do anything too make your...

After a long day of traveling and by far exceeding the check in hours, the lovely hostess Maria greeted us with cold water and a warm welcoming. Throughout our stay her and her jolly husband been so nice and helpful. The house is in shipshape, clean rooms, great coffee and offering ice creams and whatnot. If you're going to Vieques...

We needed a place to stay for one night, when our apt we are moving into wasn't ready for another day and they came through for us on such short notice. Great place to stay. Location to town is great and owners Joe and Maria made us feel like we were home. Atmosphere is 2 thumbs up.

Tropical Guest House is a small romantic hotel, with an incredible gardin. It's located close to the ferry, which is nice, but getting to the best beaches of Vieques from the guesthouse has to be done either by taxi (5 dollars pr person) or by renting a scooter or similar. The owners, Maria and Jo, are extremely warm and welcoming...

Jo and Maria are amazing, extremely friendly and helpful. I was kind of a pain. First my credit card did not work, so they called me and fixed that. Then I called with so many questions and they were so patient, answered all of my questions and helped me with recommendations regarding car rental, beach gear...etc. I even had Jo...

We had an amazing experience at the Tropical Guesthouse. Maria and José are the most welcoming and nice owners ever, and made us feel at home, giving us all the indications we need to have a wonderful stay in Vieques. There is no breakfast but Maria will welcome you in the morning with a coffee or a tea, and hot...
