We stayed 4 nights in the Malecon House, 2 in the Fantastico suite, 2 in a suite on the first floor near the pool - can't remember the name of that room at the moment. The stay was wonderful. The property and rooms were clean, and had no major problems. The central location of the property was great, and was... More

We arrived at Malecon House without a reservation, yet Gene and Daphne immediately took care of us and welcomed us into a great room right away! The feel of this place is cool and modern without being stiff and formal - it's exceptionally comfortable with clean lines and thoughtful spaces. We loved room 9 for the private outdoor patio overlooking... More

Just got back from celebrating my husband's 70th birthday with my sister and brother-in-law. Stayed at the Malecon House and couldn't have been more pleased, a perfect location. Vieques was everything we were looking for, I.e. packing a cooler, grabbing beach chairs and heading to the beautiful beaches in our jeep. The island horses are an added plus. Daphne from... More

Having decided to spend a week in Vieques, Puerto Rico, we chose the Malecon House because of its waterfront location amid a strip of restaurants and other business in Esperanza. We also liked the property's many favorable reviews, but we didn't know it was under new ownership. Although we never had the pleasure of visiting Vieques before, we're happy to... More

Malecon House is located in a hip little beach town on the south side of Vieques. The view from the hotel, across the cute boardwalk to the beautiful ocean is stunning. Make sure to shut the sliding gate to the parking area to keep out the wandering, wild horses. The true gem of the joint is the GM Dafney Bost.... More

If I could give Malecon House a 6/5 rating, I would! I had never been to Vieques before and now I am sure I will return thanks to Malecon House. It was the perfect place to relax by the pool, read a book on the balcony, and enjoy the views of Cayo Afuera and passing sailboats. The beach directly across... More

My travel partner and I stayed in an upstairs bedroom for two nights. Our room was simply decorated but comfortable. We fell asleep to the sound of the ocean and frogs chirping. The management was friendly and helpful in suggesting and arranging tours. Breakfast was varied and fresh. The hotel is across the street from a lackluster beach but it... More

I was originally scheduled to stay at another hotel for my visit to Vieques, but due to a mishap with the travel agency I was left without a place to accommodate, myself, my father and sister. During the time of our visit most of the properties were completely full. It just so happened that Malecon House had a room to... More

Perfect. I wish I would have spent our whole vacation at this wonderful boutique hotel. Perfect walking location to Esperanza bars restaurants and shops. Private parking for your rental Jeep. Perfect pool that we used to cool off in the afternoon. Perfect room with king bed and futon. Just perfect. Pics of the pool and a few restaurants.

I am so happy you had such a great experience here at the Malecon House! I completely agree that pool is just the right amount of "cooling off" during the afternoon sun! My wife and I have never stayed at a B&B type hotel before. Malecon House really delivered on all the good reviews we had read.
