You couldn't pick a nicer, more authentic hotel to stay in Ponce. It's the oldest operating hotel on the island and it is very well maintained. A true testament to the dedicated employees. The staff were very familiar with the area and fluent in English and Spanish. The location provided a great base to explore Ponce and a wonderful view...

We stumbled apon this hotel randomly late at night and couldn't have been happier. The style, neighbor hood/location and hotel staff were perfect. The history of the hotel is apparent. The art museum is walking distance and EPIC!!! I will be back!

clean room, great price, safe parking, free WiFi, breakfast included, great restaurant, near Parque de Bombas, town plaza, friendly helpful staff. Is a different kind of hotel since it is antique but very beautiful.

Don't let a few hotel divas' bad reviews scare you. This place can't be beat for its central location and friendly, helpful staff. Our prepaid check-in was quick and easy, and we appreciated the complimentary welcome sangrias from the hotel's rooftop bar. The hotel parking lot is ample and secure, and at only $6 per day a good deal compared...

We stayed at Melia for 4 days over thanksgiving while in town to visit family. This was such a treasure! The facilities are beautiful, the staff is spectacular, and the restaurant and bar are top notch. As an added bonus, they have amazing live music at night in the rooftop lounge, the performers are top notch. With respect to the...

The Hotel Melia in Ponce is long past its prime. It has one ancient (1940 era) elevator, that has room for 2 people or one person plus a luggage cart. The room to which we were assigned was to be blunt, small and decrepit. My wife refused to stay there, and spoke to the front desk, who reassigned us to...

It is not an attractive place to stay. It is outdated and it has a terrifying elevator from the 1960s without any update. It's only attraction is the history and the skylounge it has. The position it has near the Town's center makes it interesting for travelers but other than that, the room service is terrible. The people who clean...

This hotel has a quaint lobby. The quaint rooms in the oldest section of the hotel--too small for 2 people to be in the room at the same time. And the mattress on our bed was very Hard. However, after complaining to Efrand, a another room was magically found ( an earlier statement that there were no more rooms). This...

Great location right off the plaza and really nice people. The hotel lobby has a lovely feel, taking you back years. The rooftop Panorama Lounge has a great view and ambience. Our room (in the much maligned old wing) wasn't that large or fancy, but it was perfectly serviceable and we had no problems with the air conditioning. The coolness...
