My husband and I stayed here for three days before going on our cruise. Location is great with lots of restaurants and public transportation. Designer stores in walking distance too. It's worth the short stop.
The room was clean and staff was friendly. Beach and restaurants nearby. Talking in the lobby
and door slamming echoed down the hall. I did sleep OK. Pool was small but relaxing. Couldn't swim at the beach because waves were too much for my bum...More
The hotel was very clean and you felt very safe. There was never a moment I thought, anything bad was going to happen.
Pool is open at all times
Extremely nice staff(they knew who we were by name)
Le Consulat was a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a place to stay before our Royal Carribean cruise. After searching online and through Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards we randomly picked this hotel. We figured if it was really bad, at least it was only...More

I'm just seeing this. I had a great experience at this hotel both times I used them for my Puerto Rico visit. They were indeed doing some renovating from what I remember. On my second visit, they added a rooftop lounge along with breakfast included with your stay. They now have an elevator too that came in handy with my suitcase. They might have already finished since I didn't notice any additional work being done on the property. I also saw someone mention the Best Western. It looks nice from the pictures, but they do have a much higher price even for being a block or so away so just keep that in mind when booking so you can manage your spending to your liking. Safe travels when you go!! :)
