Located steps from Ocean Park/Condado Beaches, this fairly priced guest house was perfect for our stay in Puerto Rico, Close shops, restaurants and Walgreens, 5 min walk to the bus line, one half hour (tops) from Old San Juan, very convenient. Thanks to Noyda, very friendly on-site manager, for helpful planning information and for making us feel so at home....

Thank you for your review. Its a great idea to combine a cruise vacation with a stay in San Juan, and what better way than in a comfortable apartment like unit close to the beach. We hope to see you back again. Hasta la proxima - Rob

From the great and accurate website, to the ease of making a reservation, to the wonderful charm of the building and room, to the charming, warm hospitality of Noyda and Neal this place is perfect. I've now been two years in a row and will now be returning to San Juan more frequently based upon how great this place is....

Dealing with Robert was good, Noyda is a dream and I loved the unit. Very clean and comfortable. Especially loved the little garden patio and the short walk to the beach and grocery store. Loved the good WiFi. Very comfortable and wished I could have stayed longer.

My 4 friends and I stayed in the El Sol suite and had plenty of room at a fantastic price. We had 3 bathrooms and a full kitchen. There are 3 double beds and another 3 bunk singles. You could easily fit 9 if you wanted to. It is a block or so from beach and off the beaten path....

I am a single woman and I traveled with my 12 yo son over Feb vacation. The location is amazing....1 minute from a great beach. The neighborhood is gated, the courtyard is gated and of course the apartment locks. What this meant to me was that I could go for a long run or out a bit (my 12 yo...

Place is beautiful and within walking distance from the beach. The owners are extremely friendly and hospitable. Grocery store also within walking distance, so we were able to make dinner and save money on meals. It felt like we were at home. Some advice: never go on calle loize at night because the projects are located on this street. However,...

Our group of 5 (2 couples and a single lady) stayed at El Sol Feb 17 and 18 before a cruise. We arrived a little early and our rooms were not yet ready. Neal and Nayda were working to get the rooms ready but greeted us when we arrived and let us put our luggage in the rooms. We walked...

My boyfriend and I stayed in El Congrejo for a week in early February. We arrived without a plan or itinerary (that's what vacation is, right?), and upon discovering how close we were to a big public (yet sparsely populated) beach, we became total beach bums. We hardly ventured outside of the neighborhood aside from a day in OSJ, and...

Really enjoyed staying here. Noyda and Neal were very helpful and wonderful hosts. They were extremely helpful and they've done a wonderful job with the place. The beach was a block away. The room was nice and equipped with everything we needed, including an ipod dock. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you want to experience Puerto Rico like a local while still having all the conveniences of home, this is your place. We make you feel at home. You have private personal space (all rooms have private kitchens and private bathrooms), while in a beach side neighborhood setting away from the crowded tourist areas. You will experience some of the best Puerto Rico has to offer while living like a local, visiting the restaurants frequently visited by locals (no chain restaurants near us). We are in the Ocean Park beach area of San Juan, in between Old San Juan and the international airport. We are 3 minutes walk to the nearest beach. Ocean Park beach is one of the locals's favoites, and also a preferred spot for kite surfing and windsurfers. We are 5 minutes walk to the tourist bus route (which goes to the casinos and to Old San Juan) and walkable to restaurants and grocery stores. Each of our units have full kitchen, free WiFi, cable TV/DVD, Apple TV, in room safes, and an Ipod player. We strive to provide more than expected, and I think you will find that with us, from the beach chairs, or bicycles to the in room safes, there are never extra charges. One of the best things about us is our live in management, Noyda and Neal, who call Coqui del Mar home and welcome you as if it is your home as well. They are local experts and can help you find a great restaurant, plan a special event, or enjoy a chat. Our courtyard, bar-b-que and jacuzzi are great for meeting other guests. If you are looking for personal service and a unique, eco-friendly (we have solar hot water supplemented by electric, ceiling fans supplemented by ACs, and offer recycling), and a clean guest house for a reasonable price, then check us out. We are not a Marriott and offer our own unique sense of quirky and intimate Puerto Rico. Come join us. *Our free parking is on a public street in front of our location. Not difficult to find a spot, but it is not designated parking for our guest house and is open to all. * Airport transportation acknowledges that there is taxi service from the airport. **Free parking is on street parking ... more   less
