The hotel is a work of art from the time you walk in. Located right next to Pigeon Park (parque de las palomas) the hotel is a beautiful old building with plenty of history. The views overlooking San Juan are amazing. I was greeted by Caesar, who took it upon himself to provide

"When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom..." and I'm pretty sure she said to head to the Monastery! Well, it was either her or my hotel app. Either way, I'm so glad I ended up at the Monastery Art Suites.

This little-known place is excellent: the location in Old San Juan is prime; the bay view from my Suite was lovely. The Suite was quite large. The building is beautiful from outside and inside, taking you back to a simpler, romantic time.

Hello...our cruise ship leaves late. Is it possible for you to hold our luggage till we can board?
They were very accommodating about holding our luggage. They held ours most of one day while we waited on our flight.

Do you have air conditioning? My traveling companion has heart issues and needs a cool room. Also, do you have rooms on the first floor so she doesn't have to take stairs. If so, what type of room(s) are they?
I remember seeing a small elevator but we were not given the option of using it. There are lots of stairs. Our suite was on the top floor. AC worked great. I'd call yo see if the elevator is available to use.

Does this hotel have meeting rooms?
I wouldn't refer to them as meeting rooms per se, but they do have some fairly good size rooms that are open to the guests that could be used for that purpose. I would contact them to be absolutely sure.

Hello, are there ice machines in the rooms with refrigerators?
I believe there were ice trays. We did ask the receptionist for ice and she gave us some.

"We stayed in suite 2 (second floor) Great view of bay and Parque de las Palomas. Lots of space and very quiet due to the thick walls."
"Room 2 very large though we also stayed in room 9 top floor both excellent"
