A series of things that we experienced. First, room was not ready at check-in time. There were no towels in the room. The elevators were out of service. The pool from our building was dirty to the point I wont get in. The restaurant in our building was closed. The other building was nicer, the pool was very cool, but to be honest... to my surprise was not cleaned properly. The air conditioner has a timer or something, I spent all night waking up to turn it on, as it will turn off every hour or so.

We had a great experience here at O:live! The rooms were adorable and we loved the outdoor patio area. The hotel itself is within walking distance to food, drinks, and the beach! Overall, a great place to stay!

We initially stayed at the hotel right before the pandemic shut everything down in March of 2020. We liked the hotel so we wanted to come back as soon as we could. Once we checked into the room, we tried to take a shower but there was no hot water so maintenance had to come and fix it. Shortly thereafter, the AC unit's cover fell from the wall when the door to the outside was closed. Once again, maintenance came by and had to fix this. Then we noticed that there was mold on the ground in the bathroom where there is poor drainage. We immediately packed our bags back up and asked for a different room because we did not want to sleep in a moldy room. At this point, we were told that there were no rooms available, but we would be offered a refund for our stay. It took two weeks and countless nagging phone-calls to them before there was a "pending" refund on my credit card. Then the refund magically disappeared. I asked my credit card company and they said to wait a week or two. It's been two weeks so I asked the credit card company for more information and they told me that the refund was returned by the hotel. I have had to contact the hotel on numerous occasions and the refund has still not been processed after over a month. I have called and emailed asking to speak with the manager or senior representative at the hotel and they have not returned my call once. The people at the front desk are nice, but the managers should also want to know why we wanted to leave their property.

Where do I even begin with this hotel? My husband and I reserved a Partial Lagoon View Suite to stay in for our anniversary trip to Puerto Rico. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Valet staff and then welcomed again by the Front "desk" staff! I love that prior to arriving we were able to get all the paperwork done online versus when we arrived. We made it up to our room and were absolutely speechless! There was a bottle we requested waiting for us but it also included a sweet Anniversary note from staff! Truly meant a lot to us. Not only was the room and the decor stunning but the patio balcony was OUTSTANDING. I wanted to spend my entire vacation out there. Our outdoor tub had a rainfall shower head over the center of it and a wine fridge so we would be able to enjoy some drinks while we relaxed. We had reservations for Sage that evening but requested an outdoor table upstairs at the Rooftop area (OpenTable is the best way to go for this). The staff at the Rooftop bar are just as amazing as anyone else you encounter. They gave us drink and appetizer recommendations, kept us entertained with light conversations and overall just helped us enjoy our evening. The location of the Olive is so close to everything, I'm not sure why we bothered renting a car to begin with! My biggest regret was only booking 2 nights at this amazing hotel because our time there went by way to quickly and I cannot wait to return!

A cozy boutique hotel within walking distance of everything - including Old San Juan if you don't mind walking through the heat (but most times of day it's easier to Uber) - that offers a very comfortable stay with excellent service. Very comfortable rooms and would definitely stay there again.
