Stayed here in December. Great deal on a room that was about 30 yards walk from the beach :) Tough to complain about that. And the sunsets.... unbelievably beautiful!! Very nice beach and water too. They also have a sister property called SamSara on the cliffs, which was super chilled out and relaxed. The great thing was that we could...

Legends turned out to be a great trip. The water and beach were excellent. Bar service excellent. Breakfast very good, lunch OK, dinner good. If you are coming for the food, this is not the place. Mama the cook made the very best of what she had, but it was limited. Somethings like instant mash potatoes stand out. The rooms...

10 days in negril, and had a great time. The great part was the helpful staff, the beach, the amazing water, and the culture of friendliness, and consideration, and of course "respect". The structure of the hotel, ie rooms, are not fantastic, and the price is indicative of that. We did not use the all inclusive, we chose to try...

When we booked this vacation, we were expecting a lot more out of this place. We stayed at the Legends, on the "garden side". First off, if you are going to stay at this hotel, book your room on the beach side. The garden side is across this very busy street, and you get hassled a lot by random people...

We just spent 10 days at Legends I Negril and I have to say that I wouldn't go back there, THE GOOD: the staff - the staff was wonderful and exceptionally helpful. Danielle at the bar could be friendlier. Her personality changed from day to day. THE BAD: the food. The owner seems to be trying to save money by...

Most of the people at the hotel were very accommodating but the food was disappointing. I could have stayed in the US and ate what they offered. If you want to save money on amenities, this is the place. Bring your own towels as you are not given any for the beach. The rooms have no hair dryer and closets...

I've been reading some of the not so good reviews lately which has prompted me to write one myself. I am by no means a Negril virgin. I have been at least a dozen times or more, but I hadn't been for over the past ten years. So I know what to expect. This was my girlfriends first time and...

Virginia Beach

hey all! planning our honeymoon for december 14/15-20 in Negril, Jamaica! we've been looking at every reosrt that suits our needs but all resorts seem to have the same thing. we really like Couples Swept Away, however, it is on long bay like we would prefer, is it that much nicer than Legends? a lot of reviews say the staff is rude(CSA)- I dont want that ruining it for us! How is everyone is legengs-honestly? I really enjoy the idea of being able to stay at one, play at 2. does all inclusive really mean all inclusve? all drinks food/room service, non motorized water sports? Also, tipping, is it included as well? or is it expected from employees at Legends and Samsara? Couples resorts have a no tipping policy which I like the idea of not having to always have cash and employees wont be standing around waiting to be tipped. (if you do tip, whats a decent one?) We also want good food, and not have to wait 45 min to be acknowledged by a server then another 45 min to get food. (many resorts have reviews of this) I understand the rooms in ANY resort in the Caribbean islands are going to have a bit of "weather-ly love," we're not expecting marble floors and brand new furnishings by any means lol but we want something thats cool when we sleep, good view of the ocean and doesnt stink! Basically we want a decent room, good food, good drinks, and friendly staff that will actually go the extra mile to make our honeymoon fantastic! and sheesh the price difference between Legends and Couples!
