What a wonderful place to stay. If you like the real jamaica vibe. Starting from the owner/manager Calvin and his wonderful laid back and friendly style. We loved all the staff from Ms. G, Milton, garwood, Chef Brown, Ryan and Chris and more. So many wonderful things to say. We were booking for 5 nights, but Calvin let us stay...

The staff at the Whistling Bird are very attentive and friendly, the famous Jamaican hospitality is practiced here. The Chef is wonderful and we ate most of our meals at the resort. It is centrally located on the beach and there are many other places nearby to wander for a drink or a meal. Very chill atmosphere and a beautiful...

We loved our stay at Whistling Bird! This small, family owned property has a beautiful beach, comfortable rooms, good food, lovely beachfront dining area and employees who quickly become like family. After a long day of travel we were pleased to find a gentleman waiting at the gate for us. From the minute we walked onto the property we were...

The perfect spot for a relaxing vacation ... old time negril... natural and beautifully laid out. Beach had lots of shade if needed. Staff were lovely and all very welcoming. Perfect for kids of all ages due to the size of the property. Breakfast well worth it.. Rosie the masseuse based by the beach gives a great facial and massage....

Nestled in the very heart of seven mile beach is this little gem. It's small, very personal, relaxing, and just everything you'd imagine Jamaica to be. If you are one who loves the big resorts with its nonstop activity, lines at the buffet and the thrill of fighting over pool chairs then go to Sandals as this place is not...

Many thanks for your wonderful comments, but mostly, thank you for staying with us at Whistling Bird! The Staff and I appreciate fantastic guests that 'get it', more than words can describe. Welcome back anytime, just let me know whenever you can visit, and your Jamaican home and family is waiting!

Had a wonderful stay. The staff really makes this place special. The cottages are rustic but comfortable including the bed. The food was good, they even accomodated my multiple food sensitivities. The bar closed early each night (8 or 9), but the night security would get us something if we asked when they got there. Security was good, we definitely...

What can I say...absolute perfect quiet getaway! Highlight of my stay was cabana massage with Rosie. Forget the large Resorts...no rush, no pushy staff...do your own thing at your own pace. Going back!

This family owned property is a beautiful oasis amidst all of the high rises in Negril. You can tell that the owners take great pride in all that they do. The staff make you feel like family and would do anything to make sure you were happy. This is my home away from home in Jamaica. They are doing some...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Beach cottages in a unique enclave. Totally immersed in nature, intensively landscaped. The cottages can be large or small, simple or deluxe. Whistling Bird offers amenities, several are unique. It's a small family business - an UNhotel, yet we have a pretty full slate of service to offer. We can do food and drink, a simple breakfast or dinner for example. What we really like to do is show off fine dining with our five course meal plan of refined Jamaican dishes. ... more   less
