We absolutely loved Sunset at the Palms. This is an adult only resort which was exactly what we wanted. It was very clean, the grounds were beautiful, and staff went above and beyond for us. The food was delicious and even though the buffet was closed due to COVID they rotated the menu so there was always something new and interesting to eat. They made everything super easy and relaxing for us! Would definitely stay there again!
Nadine, our wedding planner made everything effortless for our special day!! The bungalows were perfect and private! So unique !! Staff was always willing to help and was so friendly! Josephine at concierge was so knowledgeable about the area and got all of our excursions planned for us! We will be back for our anniversary for sure!!
Absolutely fabulous! 6 night stay, 2/9-2/15/2021. Under the circumstances, we had the place almost exclusively to ourselves. only 2-3 other couples/guests overlapped. Felt even more luxurious as a result. Aesthetic is very much to our liking. Seems unique to the area. South East Asia-inspired. I'm told in part informed by the owner's spouse, of Asian descent. Lush and lovely. Staff was outstanding to a person. Courteous. Solicitous. Professional. Food is above average, especially, per my companion, for an all-inclusive. At least two nights of our stay, special five-course chef special dinner, prepared and introduced by the chef. Very nice. Private beach is pristine. Also had it virtually to ourselves. Well manned. Pool and jacuzzi also lovely. Three nights of live piano bar, with the entertaining and engaging pianist Paul. Shades of Casablanca! Complimentary bottle of champagne provided at our room on our return home the evening for my birthday! Great base from which to enjoy all Negril and western Jamaica has to offer. If you're looking for a lush and private or romantic getaway, Covid-time or otherwise, Jamaica on your list and Negril your kind of Jamaica experience, Sunset @ The Palms should be your spot. Been to Jamaica many times; Negril several. From now on, it will be @ Sunset. Needless to say, Covid protocols in full effect. We felt in good hands, literally and figuratively. Don't hesitate if you're considering a getaway before things are "back to normal." The water is fine, the people finer!…
Booked 7 night stay for Dec/21 thru Booking.com. From my understanding no charges would be accrued until a few weeks prior to arrival with free cancellation until Nov 25. The resort attempted to charge my card the full amount 3 days later. Thank God I have banking security that declined the transaction and locked my account. I have since cancelled my reservation with this resort for lack of trust. The hotel clerk that I spoke with was not friendly and didn't seem pleased with my actions.
We are repeat guests and we thought the resort was great just as it was last time. was it different most definitely, the most people on the grounds when were there was 48 and as low as 20. Temperature checks at every meal for guests masks required throughout, I never saw an employee without a mask on. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. Yes the bar closed early and not much entertainment but I give all of that a pass. The service was very good, the food was also good, we did miss the variety of the buffet, but they would cook you almost anything you asked of. We ordered room service most morning and ate on our deck while bird watching. Lunch was ate at the beach daily which was fine, by day 6 we had to change it up and got some patties. We also visited Office of Nature next door which was just as good as last time. Our room was kept spotless clean they even folded and stacked our dirty laundry, no need. I felt the housekeeping was better than last time we visited. We had a great room that was quite and we could see the mountains in the distance. Our driver Benji was awesome and the crossing guard his name sips my mind was also wonderful big guy and relatively new to the crew. The people working the front gate were great also. The gentleman that is now in charge of the food service was very thorough and professional, he works very hard. The service in the dinning room was great we loved those girls and always good for a conversation. The bartenders were also good, with so few people you never had to wait on anything. We go to see Paul twice and that is always a treat. I still say hands down they have two of the best masseuses of anywhere I have been. Brenda I need you here in the states. I think everyone needs to take a step back and deep breath when giving feedback about their stay. Yes we are on vacation (spoiled), the people working at the resort have been struggling to feed their families for months, enjoy the best beach in Negril and drink some rum. From our family to the Sunset at the Palms family thank you for all that you do to help us enjoy our time there. You are wonderful and we can't wait to see you again.…
