Location, location, location. This seaside cottage is a few minutes from Ocho Rios, but that's not the key to its appeal. It's located overlooking the water and right on a teeming, living reef, accessible off a little dock and down a ladder. The house itself is bare bones, eccentric, stuffed with native art and perfectly well equipped with an excellent...

Pictures offer very little insight to the actual beautify of this place. It's eccentric, romantic, private, and all that good stuff. Peter and his staff were a true delight to meet. We will definitely return again and rent out the garden cottage as well. The area was safe enough for us to walk however the real danger came with passing...

We stayed for three nights in November - fantastic location, very friendly owners and a wonderful stay. Could not recommend it more for those looking to stay in Ocho Rios but want something a little different from the big resorts. You have the benefit of being right on the water but the privacy of your own space and home to...

We rented both cottages. The setting is amazing, the cottages original, quirky and well equipped and Peter is a warm, caring & informative host. The bedroom of the sea facing cottage is one of the most romantic places we ever slept in: totally open to the ocean and the sky (and without mosquito!). There was a thunder storm one night and...

We spent two weeks in the Seaside Cottage of Te Moana. Since we chose it by finding it on the internet we hoped that the difference between pictures and reality is not too big. We were not dissappointed. Quite the opposite. We arrived at night and when we woke up in the morning we couldn't believe how beautiful it was....

We just got back from 10 days in the seaside cottage of Te Moana. It was an amazing visit. To wake up to the view and sound of the sea each morning right outside your bedroom window is beyond words. Peter and Annabella are wonderful hosts – very warm and welcoming. When we arrived, we had a list of things...

I really do not like to post negative reviews but this was beyond belief. a few days before leaving home we emailed asking for directions, non arrived. We tried telephoning but did not get a reply or a returned call. We had to find Harmony...

This place has to be the most peaceful, relaxing place in Ocho Rios. If you were any closer to the sea you would be in a boat. Privacy, quiet, & you wake up to a view you swear is on a postcard somewhere. It is family owned & run, which makes it all the better to support. The snorkeling is...

We stayed in the Seaside Cottage for one week and agree with the previous reviews. The decor is fun, view from the upstairs balcony is incredible, access to the sea for kayaking and snorkeling is so convenient, and the hammocks on the veranda are perfect for reading/napping. The owners, Peter and Annabella, live right next door and are friendly and...

We celebrated our 25th anniversary at the seaside cottage, and loved it!! Extremely private, with excellent views of the sea and easy access to some incredible snorkeling spots right off the shore. We enjoyed using the kayaks there as well. The seaside cottage is very unique, and we really liked the colorful Caribbean decor and open-air shower downstairs (it was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ocho Rios is the perfect place from which to explore Jamaica, being almost equidistant from Montego Bay, Kingston and Port Antonio. The cottage, located 1 mile from the centre of the popular resort town, is next to Peter and Annabella Proudlock's home, yet is completely self-contained, with separate entrance and small garden. Steps to the grotto give private access to the sea via steps, with interesting snorkelling on the adjacent reef. Downstairs, the fully equipped kitchen adjoins the comfortable living/dining area, with i-pod dock, a bathroom with outdoor shower, and single-bedded alcove. The veranda features two hammocks, and a dining table. An external staircase leads to the large bedroom, with sitting area, king-size bed, cable TV, shower room and ceiling fan. The view over the Caribbean Sea is stunning. Peter and Annabella will happily give advice on the many nearby attractions, which include their own Harmony Hall art & craft gallery and restaurant, the world famous Dunn's River Falls, golf, swimming with dolphins, riding, plantation tours, Noel Coward's Firefly, duty-free shopping and more. For those who have to stay in touch, there is complimentary high-speed internet access. ... more   less
