I have stayed at Sandals in the past and there were somethings I loved and others that left me feeling unsure if I would return. I had to call to have my room cleaned at 5pm at night. I had to call another time to have our fridge restocked with water. The other person traveling with me was inappropriately harassed by a drunk guest. The drunk guest uninvited sat on my friends lap and started grinding on her. She touched my friends face and despite being asked to move/get up she stayed. This was uncomfortable to watch and went on for more than 90 seconds. We left the area and went to the bar. At the bar the women approached her again. My friend was visibly upset. She alerted management. Management apologized but there was no follow up.
When Sandals says all-inclusive they mean it, 10 dives in 7 days awesome! And that's just the beginning, the food is simply amazing with offerings that would satisfy the pickiest eater. The customer service-oriented staff go out of the way to ensure your having the vacation of your dreams
We stayed in an over the water bungalow for 6 nights. It was such a fantastic experience. Our butlers Kelene and Kish were absolutely the best. They made our stay over the top from the start to the end of our trip. We loved our meals being served right on our deck overlooking the ocean. It was such a romantic trip. Bombay and Thai restaurants were delicious. Devon at Thai was one of the best servers we ever met. As for the resort itself, it could use some updating. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating to every need. Our bungalow was a great way to celebrate 20 years of marriage. A big thank you to Kelene!!!
My husband and I just came back from a week long vacation at Sandals RC to celebrate our anniversary and our 40th. We had an amazing experience! The staff made the trip. Kind, helpful, friendly, and overall a joy to be around. Shout out to Gavin at the front desk for being so accommodating and helping us with every detail, Crystal and Stacy at the island bar making amazing drinks and being so sweet, Javier our cabana butler for the day, and lifeguard Romar for keeping everyone safe and teaching us about the island. Overall, the resort was clean, beautiful, and the food was delicious. Try a Cabana on the main land for the day. We did the Ghost tour at Rose Hall, so fun and spooky! Would love to come back! Of course this place is beautiful and the food is 5 star but the staff makes it special. Every single member of the staff smiled and went out of the way to make us feel welcomed. Simply Amazing!! I booked 2 more trips while on property.
We had a great time here for our honeymoon. Our butlers, Dwayne and Sherry-Ann were awesome! Additionally, any staff we came across were friendly! We specifically want to call out Dre and Nylon at the pool bar. They are awesome! Very friendly and fun to be around!! The best! Spinal (Dwayne) is also an awesome personable guy! The Thai restaurant was phenomenal! You will love the staff and your time at this resort!
With sandals being a premium brand in the uk u expected great things and have to say am disappointed. First night get here late and went to cricketers well never again. Food is terrible and full of drunk Americans. Went to other bar which had karaoke going on so essentially not nice quiet evening bar available. The main pool and beach is essentially an 18-30 for Americans. If you want quiet go to the beach at the end it’s lovely. It’s essentially a place Americans come to party so if you don’t want that don’t come. You smell weed everywhere and it’s just accepted here which is a pain when stuck in your room due to storm and thats all you can smell. Food is excellent especially the French and Bombay restaurants along with great buffet breakfast. Drinks are good and staff are very good.…
We were so excited to return to SRC for our 5 year anniversary in August, we didn't realize that without a butler to take care of everything, you were on your own. I could write numerous specific examples but will only list a few of them. The room was not thoroughly cleaned when we arrived, hair around the toilet, grit in the tranquility tub were a couple issues. While we were there we never had washcloths, every time we asked we were either told they were out or would bring them later and never did. We were supposed to have bathrobes/slippers and never got them. First nights dinner was at Cricket's, they forgot our order, served three other couples before us though they arrived after, and never apologized. Try to get lounge chairs on the beach in the morning - nope, those are all reserved at 6am by the butlers for their guests. Apparently, if those people don't show up by 10:30 they are up for grabs but that is a well kept secret, no signs anywhere telling people that. Every morning we watched people with their towels looking for loungers just to have to turn around disappointed that they were all reserved. The worst part of our trip was what happened with our excursion. We were concerned when we didn't get our paperwork the night before our excursion to zipline/tubing/blue hole experience so we went to the Select Rewards office. Shari was a doll and tried to help figure out why we hadn't received our information for the next morning. After trying to reach numerous people she finally had to wake someone up at 9:45 for information. She was finally told that it was just an error that we didn't receive the information and we should be in the lobby for 7:15, not 6:30 as our original information read. Shari said if we had any problems she would be there in the morning. The morning arrived, we waited in the lobby and the bus driver arrived. The excursion he was picking up for was zipline/tubing/horseback riding, he only had seats for 6, and wasn't going to take us. We went back to Shari frustrated about how bad our first few couple of days had been and she said she wanted us to talk to someone. One of the managers of the resort, Sheldon, came and spoke with us. We told him everything that happened, most importantly our excursion, that we had looked forward to for 8 months, being messed up. Upon looking into the issue with the excursion, apparently it had been cancelled at some point from January to August and no one had been told. Sheldon seemed to care about our concerns, told us to relax for the day, and he would take care of everything including getting us another excursion. The next morning came and went and we still hadn't heard back from him. We went back to the office, he found time for us later that day, and asked if we had booked another excursion. We told him that he said he was going to take care of that. Someone finally booked us on an excursion the next morning which was just the zipline, tubing. There were a lot of problems the rest of our trip, the bar waited on all of the butlers before they filled my husbands drink order, waiters on the beach walked right by us numerous times without offering to get us anything, etc etc The first time we visited in 2017 everyone was so nice and friendly, this time, the employees seemed distracted and unhappy, everyone except the butlers with their guests. The morning we left the resort we were asked how our trip was and we told them that it was very disappointing. Additionally, no one ever asked us to talk about a return trip, surprise surprise. When we expressed our disappointment we were asked to speak to another supervisor about the experience. We didn't want to as we didn't want to miss our trip to the airport. We were told it would only take a few minutes, they wanted us to talk to someone. A female supervisor came and talked to us, don't have the name unfortunately. We told her numerous things and she seemed shocked. At this point there wasn't much that could be done but she said that she wanted to give us 10000 pts in hopes we would consider returning some day. We checked out, were charged for the replacement excursion but that was ok as Sheldon told us we would be refunded for the one that had been cancelled (without notice) but it could take 3-4 weeks. Well, you guessed it, 4 weeks went by and no refund. I called 1-800-SANDALS to find out what was going on. The first guy told me that no one at the resort was authorized to tell me we would get a refund, we were supposed to call as soon as we got home from our trip to get a refund. The department that needed to take care of these items was closed and I would need to call back the next day. I called the next day and spoke with Avlon Bernard. This young lady was extremely rude, not at all what you would imagine someone representing Sandals would speak like. She looked at our account and the notes that were there and told me that we WERE compensated for our cancelled excursion, we were given 10000 points. I explained to her that the points had nothing to do with the refund but she wouldn't have it. I said, "Why would I pay for two excursions when we only got one"? Over and over again she interrupted me when I told her that Sheldon told us it would be taken care of and we shouldn't pay twice for this. She just kept saying that the matter was resolved with the 10000 points. I offered to give her the confirmation #'s for the two charges and she said she didn't want them. She said all she could do was reach out to the resort for further information and someone would get back to me. It has been two weeks and nothing! I guess we are out $344 but that's not the worst part - our anniversary trip is now a bad memory that we can't relive.…
My vacation stay at Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort in Jamaica was beyond my expectations. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL. The staff went beyond measure to make sure your every need was taken care of. If you had an issue they made sure it was resolved. However, if your issue/matter could not be resolved they made sure you were compensated. PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!
This was the most beautiful vacation we have ever had. The service and hospitality was impeccable.. Patring made our anniversary dinner a night we will never forget… Otanya is the best photographer we have ever worked with… we are planning our next trip and several friends and family are planning to visit also..
