Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for almost 2 weeks. The hotel is very friendly, well located and has a wonderful swimming pool. One of the most beautiful I have seen! Shop, bar, spa, activities, the hotel offers everything you need. The accommodation is nice. You just have to pay attention to the water cuts (which affects a good part of Guadeloupe and which is therefore not only in this hotel).

Hotel Manganao could be viewed as a diamond in the rough. It's a sprawling facility that has combined hotel and longer term residential stays. Over the past couple of years the facilities have undergone remodeling. Our remodeled room was a comfortable size for a couple. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean.
The pool area is BIG and well designed. Our friends and their family really enjoyed it. The hotel's beach area is smaller than one might be use to; however, it's coziness makes it easy to stretch out on a chaise without being disturbed. The hotel could probably get a 4.6 to 5.0 rating if the beach was large enough to provide access ti sand or water based activities.
The hotel has a restaurant that is just a few steps away from the pool and the beach. Their drinks and their food are tasty. A good place to have lunch or dinner after taking a break from the pool or the sun.
All-in-all, this a place we will return to on our future visits to Guadeloupe.

Great I recommend for a small stay as a couple, very nice, clean hurry to return, the studio is as described, there are utensils but maybe not enough for a large family who wishes to make a long stay for more than 3 weeks. the pool is accessible with a lifeguard who secures swimming.

The place is in ruined , totally abandoned. A money trap for tourists. The hired a Lifesaver bonehead gigolo at the pool for "animation" from 8:30 to 7:00. This mentally hill is is on serious medication. He blast the pool area with unbearable jungle hip hop that will ruiné your hard hurned vacation. There's no management as all units are privately owned by Parisians living at 7000 miles. The place should be avoided at all cost

Pretty sure this hotel finally shut down for good. Thank god. The hotel had posted photos from its prime, which has long since been. My stay was from 08 March - 12 March and it was pretty sad to say the least. The pool was 100% closed, the entire beach front area was abandoned and blocked off. The property is expansive but only a select few rooms were being rented out. The rooms themselves were alright, though we did have a bit of an ant problem. The staff was friendly though, no one ever came to give us fresh towels or more toilet paper. We had to survive on our one roll of toilet paper or else we had to go out and purchase it ourselves. Really? It seems to me that the hotel has finally shut down, which is good. Do not stay here.

+1
Place is almost abandoned, service was the worst, rust and dust everywhere, rooms didnt have enough light to read a book, outdoor was also dark on evenings. Located nowhere, nothing to do without car, no shops and life around. Breakfast was interesting experience - some mornings they didn't even have drinking water, only 1-2 different fruits, coffee + some bread, butter and jam. If you wanted cheese you had to ask and you received 1 slice per face. Yes, one slice per person :))) Beach is small and pools dirty. Would be ok for 75€ per night but not for 3 times more.

Good morning, We are sorry that the service did not meet your expectations, and we beg you to accept our sincerest apologies. Your evaluations and comments are precious tools that help us continuously improve our services, particularly in this type of situation. Be assured that the necessary corrective measures have already been taken to ensure that the quality level meets your expectations and earns your trust when you next stay with us. It will be better to rent a car if you decide to visit the island. We can organise some taxi (request at the desk). The city is located at 5 minutes by car from the hotel. Again thank you for your comments and hope to convince you, at the next visit, the inconvenience you have known were isolated incidents. Looking forward to welcome you shortly in our hotel, please accept, Madam,Sir, our warmest greetings. Sincerely yours

Pros: Nice small beach on grounds. That’s about it.
Cons:
- This resort has seen better days. It’s now a depressing dump
- Pillows in rooms are lumpy and uncomfortable
- Breakfast is included, but they ran out of food 30 mins before breakfast officially ended
- The rooms are WAY overpriced. The grounds are huge, so daily maintenance is probably what jacks up the room rates
- The decorative pools in the lobby are gross and cloudy and look great for breeding mosquitos
- The swimming pools were not in working order when we were here
There are much better places to stay for the same price, but you must book months in advance. This is the best we could find at short notice.

What a great hotel! Everything about it was wonderful. Location is on a great and mostly private beach. Clear, clear water! Breakfast is included. FULL and delicious breakfast...great freshly made omelettes, delicious French pastries, breads, hams, cold cuts. Great coffees and teas. Served oceanfront under the shade of a beautiful covered terrace. Huge and very clean oceanfront pool. Beautiful grounds. Buildings colorful and so well maintained. Rooms so clean and comfortable with porch open to the ocean. Shower has full pressure and wonderfully hot water. Staff so helpful and friendly. Nights so quiet and peaceful. Sky full of stars. Also close to town. Loved it!!

This was like something out of the Twilight Zone. The room was adequate, with large fridge, cooking facilities and washing machine. Nowhere to hang wet towels.
The 'resort' was non existent... A restaurant and pool area only. Food in the restaurant was ok but we watched 6 girls circle the tables and not once look to see if anything was required... No pouring wine or water and don't request a specific table because you can't have it even though nobody else sits at it. The restaurant toilets were disgusting. No toilet paper in the ladies, broken soap dispenser and no door to the gents.
This may have been a resort prior to COVID but with no reception, closed boutiques, overgrown water features and doors with wooden planks closing them off, not to mention rude staff, this is not somewhere I would recommend. If you do end up here, eat at Ti Francine, 300m up road

I just spent a stay at Manganao, I must say that this site has evolved a lot. The pool has been renovated, the restaurant is operational. There is a snack for having breakfast feet in the water. For small last minute races a supermarket has opened on the site. That's a very good thing. From the beach of Manganao, walking about ten minutes, we reach the beautiful beach of Les Raisins clairs. Not everything is perfect yet but this site has enormous potential. The beach is beautiful and the pool is huge. I recommend
