The staff at La Caravelle is amazing, particularly those responsible for children's club. The beach is beautiful with plenty of lounges and palm trees for shade. The cuisine was exceptional and the nightly entertainment most enjoyable. Although the resort is undergoing majo

This review is from a family of 6. Our children were ages 7, 5, 3, and 1. We originally chose Club Med Caravelle because of the great weather, the discount, and there was a direct flight from Montreal.

Upon getting there, we found the following areas that exceeded our expectatio

If you compare, which one was the best? Gouadeloupe or Martinique? Taliking about beaches and activities
HI, I haven't been to Martinique for years, but my parents went earlier this year. My mother and at least 3 other ladies went to see the nurse (coincidence - they didn't know each other) because they all contracted some kind of parasite from the beach on their feet. We were at Caravelle this March, and we had no issues at all, so I would say stick with Caravelle. That said, it seems that there will be renovations done at Caravelle, so try to get a room at Marie Galante. When I was looking to book (some months ago), and those were the only rooms which did not have a warning about possible noise from construction.

Hello! We're looking at staying with you next February and wondered if you had a waterslide for the kiddos. Thank you!
Hi We didn't see a kid's slide in the pool area or in the sea You don't really need one it's a lovely pool for swimming and to teach them to swim I think there is a playground its a very large complex

I saw on the club med site that some of the rooms are "near renovation" what does that entail ? Does it mean your window looks out towards a construction site, or that there would be construction noise during the day or both ? Also our son is going to a few months away from being 4 when we plan to travel, how strict are they on the ages in the mini club ? Conversely do you need to do the petit club for the whole period of your stay or can your purchase time for one day or part of a day ?
We only had a day at Club Med from a cruise in Jan 2018 didnt see any building work then. Perhaps you could email on fb message direct with the Hotel they should answer your questions

What type of electrical outlets do they have at La Caravelle?
the have european style plugs, sadly we bought an international adapter at walmart and were unable to use it. I regret not buying one from CAA or AAA.

"If you want quiet sleep stay away from the Mango Bar, as there are parties there late into the night."
"we always stay top floor so no one is above us. CM's are low so top floor is 3rd"
"The Desirade and Marie Galante buildings are quieter. Grande Terre is the most central, but the waterfront view rooms have more noise."
"Rooms farther from the center are quieter. The beach view is worth it."
"There's some parties at the beach , so if you are with children avoid the front beach rooms"
