The hotel overlooks the runway of the airport, behind which you can see the ocean. The view is not too bad and the fact that very few planes land at the airport means that noise is not a problem. The hotel itself is basic but clean. The room came with AC and a bathroom with shower, but no bath. There was an old TV in there, but to be honest I never even tried turning it on. The wifi was decent. There is not much around the hotel, it's about a mile or so walk to the airport and about the same or slightly more to the nearest decent restaurants, shops and bars. The number 1 bus picks up from right outside the hotel and that will take you to the main beach or the capital for no more than 2.50 EC. Also for the price you could probably find something better. I stayed here for a few nights and then found a guest house with similar facilities (slightly bigger room and better view - of Grand Anse beach ) for $60 a night just by word of mouth. Overall I would say it is a nice hotel, but slightly overpriced when compared to what else you can get in Grenada.…
We have stayed here for the last few years during our trip to/from Carriacou and have always found the service and rooms to be impeccable. We stayed here again in April 2018 on two occasions, the hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Yolande (Hotel Manager) is absolutely fantastic and even gave me a lift to the airport to pick up my daughter and nothing was too much. You may get better location, better rooms etc, however, I very much doubt that you would get better service elsewhere in Grenada. Thank you to all the staff at Relax Inn for making our 2018 trip to Carriacou enjoyable and pleasant, hope to see you next year again..
If you are going to visit a SGU student, this place is perfect. My room had a view of the campus and ocean. Bed is a little hard, but acceptable. Very clean and the staff was super polite and accommodating.
Very comfortable room with A/C, teapot, cable, fast internet, fridge, patio, and a few dishes. No microwave, however. The manager upgraded me to an upstairs room with a view of the ocean. A bus will pick you up, right outside the inn, to drive you to city center for one dollar. The downside is being out a bit with no restaurant or included breakfast. I went into town and bought pb&j makings, teabags, ramen noodles, and cereal and milk for breakfasts before diving, and lunches for after. An easy bus ride into town will take care of dinner. I saw plenty of restaurants, including Pizza Hut and KFC, if you are so inclined. You can have airport pick-up through them for $10. Manager and all service staff are highly helpful and accommodating.
Great and friendly hotel staff, however, ensure that you get food etc from somewhere else before your stay as the restaurant next door to the hotel is not very friendly and does not provide the facilities that the hotel boasts. The shop across the road offers more than the restaurant, however, the shop only offers basic food etc from mid-morning to later afternoon. We would advise getting food at a local takeaway to ensure that your stay is catered for adequately and do NOT rely on restaurant adjacent to the hotel as you will end up utterly disappointed. Alll in all,, the hotel staff are excellent and you cannot ask for more, this accommodation is very close to the airport.
