We were there for four nights with a group of 8 mid-January. It’s a very quiet resort which was a bit intimidating upon arrival, but we quickly grew to love the peace and serenity. The staff learned each of our names, sought us out to check in, and accommodated our group for dinners together. We loved the pool bar including Alex and Rosie’s drink service and Ezekiel’s activities. We also stayed up late with Marcelo, who you must talk to, in the lobby bar. As a group of women in our 40s to 60s we weren’t too wild but we did get rude comments from other guests and snide looks— especially at dinner, so larger groups or younger groups may want to look elsewhere. Our only hiccups were the bellboys coordination of whose luggage went to which room, evil bugs (the staff have spray at the bars and restaurants) and an hour wait on a bus to get back from our excursion. Lastly, eat at the airport before arrival, it’s a bit of a drive and we arrived at 5; the concierge told us there was no food available until 6 unless we order and wait for room service. We did eventually locate snacks in the coffee shop, so swing in there right away if you’re hangry. Enjoy, it’s gorgeous.

I strongly advise against choosing this hotel because of the mosquitoes, they bite a lot, no means work, the bite lasts a long time, it itches. For this reason, we limited our stay on the terrace, by the ocean, and we were bitten anyway, and not only us, all the guests looked like they had measles after two days. The problem does not apply to other hotels even within a short distance. People staying in other hotels were not bitten. Concierge (Ramon) terrible, did not respond to our information, did not read the questions and did not answer them. In the end, we managed ourselves, it turned out to be unnecessary and even disturbing. Disappearing dollars. First, $ 2 disappeared from the shelf by the bed, but we thought the cleaning lady thought it was for her, but I decided to do a test and put the $ 15 in my purse, put the purse in my backpack, when the cleaning lady came, I left. I came back after some time, she was there when she saw me, she left immediately, not saying goodbye. I looked in my purse and there was no $ 5, $ 10 left. We reported it to the concierge, but there was no answer, no reaction, because the same lady came the next day. Large rooms but poor standrad, certainly not 5 stars. Nuisance stench from the toilet, poor drainage in the shower, cool water at later times. Mini bar in hotel offer replenished twice a day, not true we had to ring to ask for drinks. Snacks were not replenished at all. We had them only as a welcome and it turned out that we should have them every day. The waiters were very nice, food good, nice surroundings, beautiful nature. The 24 hour service did not protect this hotel from giving it a poor rating, the biggest inconvenience was the mosquitoes and had I known it we would never have chosen this hotel. Two days back and we're still scratching.

This was our first trip to the DR, and our first all-inclusive experience. As many visitors probably notice, it is challenging to find a resort that wasn’t an all-inclusive, so we opted for a smaller resort hoping for better food and a more personalized experience. Pros: The hotel is very remote and quiet. At the time we stayed, it was about half full. We never waited for a table and were helped when needed. The spa is fabulous, the rooms are great and nicely equipped and the additional amenities are wonderful. The staff is also very cheerful and helpful when needed. They also keep the property in pristine condition and it felt very safe. Cons: The food was very subpar. If you’re looking for nicer dining, this is not the place. My spouse had fish at the Italian restaurant that was served in a plastic bag (probably sous veyed) but it didn’t seem fresh. Everything else seemed pretty bland or basic. We went off property one night to go to a nicer restaurant, and it cost us $120 in just the cab fare, so take that into consideration. You’re pretty trapped. The cigar salesman was very pushy, which deterred us from buying any. Also, the timeshare pitch was strong. We avoided any interactions, but we were constantly interrupted on our trip by them trying to get us to come to the meetings for discounts on experiences. These were experiences and discounts I also expected to be included or discounted at the rate we were paying, which was unfortunate. In addition, cleaning service never refilled our mini fridge, which was supposed to be a perk of the experience. Also, be sure to bring your own sunscreen as it was around $40 for one bottle of spray at the boutique. Also, the mosquitos were very hungry, so bring big spray. My spouse and I have been to other resorts where you can opt out of full all-inclusive services, and I wish we had that option here. The property and staff are wonderful, but more options to get out and experience authentic local food would’ve been welcomed.

We just returned from 9 days and had a nice stay. The resort is exquisite. We had a balcony ocean front room that was absolutely beautiful. Bed comfortable, room service the absolute best 24 hrs/day(from filet mignon to eggs benedict to soup, salad, burgers...nice selection) The staff could not be better. The Spa amazing! Highly recommend! Laundry service excellent! Bugs....horrendous:( rained 3 different days. Bugs were so bad we could not enjoy being outdoors at all. Peppered with bites from head to toe. Not sure if there is a rainy season and we just happened to hit it. Worth checking out before heading that way. Pool bar closes at 5 which is the only bar in that area....a suggestion would be to have that open until 6 or 7. Few things to note- when checking in they push you in to meeting with what you believe to be VIP staff....which is really a time share type sales pitch. Cigar salesmen are brutal and don't take no for an answer...quite pushy. Jewelry sales on the beach is at least double the price if you decide to go elsewhere to shop....he has no deals for you :) Even with this being all inclusive we like to tip...bring small bills with you if you are the same as getting change is a challenge. Covid testing on site was handled nicely. Lots of really good things to say about Zoetry and we enjoyed our stay...in order to return I would definitely check out when the rainy season is to avoid the bug bites as they made for a miserable travel day home.

Nice location with a nice facility, spoiled by poor service and management.... more interested in upselling AMR deals than making the experience joyful. Suffers from a disconnected reservation process managed by host AMR.... be wary
