Nestled close to the inviting pool and beach, Jewel Punta Cana All-Inclusive Beach Resort is favored for its location, albeit with some noise concerns. The resort's atmosphere charms guests with its family-friendly vibe, vibrant music, and engaging nightlife amidst lush surroundings. However, visitors have mixed feelings about value, facing unexpected expenses and service inconsistencies, though the staff's warmth often shines through. Cleanliness is a strong suit, with well-kept areas, even as some call for room updates. While amenities are plentiful, including dining and beach activities, the quality of room service and mini-bar offerings sometimes fall short.

1. The property: the property was beautifully landscaped and well-maintained. There was so much greenery. You really feel like you’re in paradise. If you are club level, there’s an adults only pool you have access to which was much more peaceful than the main pool. The main pool is large enough that you never feel really crowded. The music they choose creates a great ambience because at no point did I hear music that wasn’t appealing to everyone.
2. Food: the food overall was great. I enjoyed everywhere that I ate, especially the bean burger at the restaurant on the water. If you are, you can sit at a special part in the beach, where they serve food and drinks to you, which I highly recommend. The burgers and chicken tenders are homemade. The buffet offers fresh fruit, and breakfast. Every morning, my favorite part was the made to order pancakes, French toast, and eggs. Another wonderful amenity is the coffee shop, which is open all day. Jennifer and Christina were amazing baristas who were able to make any coffee I ordered as well as the signature coffees on the menu. They also have a variety of baked goods that are great for a grab and go. My favorite food was at the Asian restaurant where we had the best hibachi. Junior was our waiter both nights we had dinner there, he made the experience that much better.
3. Massage: the massages were incredible, we chose to have the massages out on the beach and it was just magical. It was actually the best massage I’ve ever had.
4. Cocktails: the cocktails were delicious, not what you would expect at an all inclusive resort. My favorite was the mango margarita and the passionfruit margarita, to my surprise, they were both made with fresh fruit, which made it so yummy.
I Heidi recommend booking the club level option because you do get many more amenities and food options. The best part is the private pool and the private area on the beach where you are served food and drinks.

Returned from a 7 night stay.
Positive points: Wow the buffet, I already miss eating so well! Better than a la carte restaurants. Attentive and smiling staff. Superb and clean beach. The hotel and garden in general are clean and well maintained. Pool (especially the pool bar needs a lot of love). Room and beds are comfortable but everything is dated. Hot water and air conditioning functional at all times.
Negative points: Despite the US$5 per day to the room staff, there is always something missing (coffee, milk, beer, towel, etc... you have to run after them to get what you kindly ask for). At the beach, to have a space in front of the small part where it is swimmable, you have to pay US$80 per day to be a member! Although the beds are always empty, you can't even put chairs in front of them, you have to go lower so as not to encroach on the Member's space! Lack of beach towel even if you get there very early. Everything closes at 11 p.m. so the nightlife is boring. Nightclub (only around ten people) so very good place for families and elderly people who want to rest. Buggy excursion (Can Am or other) $139 is boring. 50 buggies lining up at 2km/h not very exciting. They say open bar and food afterwards, none of that is false so when you return to the hotel you are starving!
MonkeyLand Tour – Highly recommend!

I stayed from Oct 31 to Nov 5, in a premium club room. To begin with, my recommendation, it is not worth paying more for a premium club room as it has no long-term benefit. The club room has a separate check-in, with a restaurant, which I went to twice and they put you on a very long waiting list, and an area with a snack bar, coffee and drinks, the place is extremely small, and it was always full, I was never able to enjoy the area, with more or less 15 people it was already full. The room for value and price is not worth it. I have visited other super cheaper hotels with a luxury room. The food is varied, but repetitive. On the page they indicate several restaurants, but they never explain to you that they are never all open at the same time, every day, except Saturday, only 3 are open, and the buffet is only open for breakfast and lunch, for dinner only the Saturdays. The buffet, the food was super cold, the sweets, when they arrived, were super fresh, as the days passed, they were hard. Very important, be patient, the food takes a long time to be served and the staff is always lost with the orders, and has no knowledge of à la carte food, you ask questions and they don't know. The hotel areas are super clean as well as the pool and rooms. The cleaning staff in the rooms is super attentive and in the other areas of the hotel. For people who like to use the hotel as accommodation for internal tourism, it is not recommended, it is very far from the places of interest of the place, and car rentals, taxis or Uber are very expensive. Another detail of the room, be careful what you touch, everything there is practically glued together and poorly installed, if you look at it too much it falls down. The lobby coffee area, excellent, good service and coffee. The shows, well, they take a long time from each other. I called for repair service in the room since the balcony had no light, it took a long time, and they had to return to replace the light bulbs which were damaged, well I already got home and I'm still waiting for them to return with the light bulbs, Although they changed the refrigerator quickly, it was causing problems. The rooms offer internet, believe me, I was in the premium room and I never had internet, you had to go outside the room in the surrounding area to have good coverage.

In conclusion: If you have the opportunity to book at another hotel, then do it, as I said before, it is not worth the price per night, I make the comparison with the more than 10 hotels that I have visited in the area.

The resort was in need of some updating. The lounge chairs were chipped and many chairs throughout resort, especially at the lobby bar, had little to no cushioning. The chairs at the pizza location had huge rips in them. The staff was attentive and friendly but the food was mediocre at best. We had club level and I highly recommend this service. Couple of things if you are to go-bring plenty of sunblock. The gift shop charges 41.00 for a spray sunblock (bought in states for 6.99). Also bring a large refillable cup as the drink cups are very small. The gift shop will sell you a cup but lowest one was 81.00. Crazy. The hibachi was one of the best meals we had all week. The pool is clean and beautiful. The rooms were nice (need updating) and the housekeeping staff was very nice. Mini bar did not get replenished without asking every day. First time at this location. Not sure we will be back - not the worst but not the best. This is our fifth trip to Pubta Cana, sadly the hotel we normally go to did not reopen. Prior resort gratuity was included so big change for us this time as we felt we were always putting our hands in our pockets. Prefer to just have all charges in package ahead of time.

This complex needs a renovation as soon as possible. I imagine the new owners are trying to make money while they do it? Anyway, here are my observations:

What we liked:
- All the employees at this hotel are very friendly and helpful.
- The common areas are kept clean and attractive.
- Cuqui is a beautiful macaw that greets you every morning.
- The pool area is spacious and welcoming.
- They have culinary "diversity," which we appreciate because they offer it, but I'll explain later why it isn't so diverse.

Dissapointed by:
- The rooms are spacious but extremely deteriorated, at least the ones we were assigned (room E).
- The air conditioning works well, but you can't adjust the temperature.
- The finishes look poorly done, with paint or grout stains on the tiles. It doesn't give a good impression.
- Our stay was for 6 days, but we were only given three towels for drying, no bath mat to step out of the shower, no face towels, and no conditioner. All these seemingly small details can make a big difference. Thanks to the kindness of the employees, they quickly resolved our complaints.
- The assigned room overlooked the pool area, making it strategic in terms of location but very noisy during the day due to its strategic location.
- The main pool area is beautiful, but they don't have enough umbrellas, so you have to keep requesting them.
- The beach area is kept very clean, with comfortable gazebos and drink service, but it isn't very attractive. The heat causes black algae to constantly be on the shoreline, and there's only one spot where they don't accumulate, which is precisely where the people gather. LOL!
- WARNING! The drinks are mostly served with house liquor (BRUGAL or something like that is the brand or distributor). Most are "frozen" but very tasty. Many are watered down, especially those on the rocks.
- The eatery is quite decent, especially the fried chicken! They also serve hamburgers and hot dogs, all delicious, but WARNING, after 4:00 pm, there's nothing left, and the buffet doesn't open until 6:30 pm, limiting you to the Coffee Shop if that is an option for you.
- I understand the hotel offers VIP pool and bar areas, but we chose not to use them, so this is our experience on the "common" side.

The food:
- They have an excellent breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet. Everything is fresh and very tasty, but after the second day, it becomes quite repetitive and lacks variety.
- They have four additional restaurants: an Italian one (the best), a French one (the worst), a Japanese one (decent offering), and a Mexican one (tasty menu but boring). They also have an excellent Coffee Shop.
- The entertainment offerings are varied, fun, and very good.

This is old dreams resort. Beautiful grounds and about 35 mins from the airport. Looks alot bigger than it is. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. The room we had was a superior king building one facing the back. The rooms are modern looking but in rough shape and I could feel the springs through the mattress. We were in room 1117. Close to the pool and restaurants at night. The showers are ridiculously high off the ground and have only 1/3 glass wall. Not good for older people and big slipping Hazzard.

The pool l runs through the resort and looks like it's missing a ft and a half of water. Very shallow and are in a crouch position the whole time you are in it. Recommend you bring a floating hammock as they charge 45 usd and that's after 30% discount on day 2 when you arrive.
No drink menus at the bars. The best part is the food. Too many options and unlimited number of times u can go to the restaurants. The buffet was amazing. Maybe my favorite. The beach is beautiful with the exception that we had seaweed and red flag up due to winds all week so didn't go in. Beach/pool towels are unlimited and no card or wristbands are required. the atm also wasn't working so didn't get money for an excursion so bring enough cash. All in all, we made the most of its shortcomings. Came home 10 lbs heavier and hope that they do a reno and we will come back soon.

Jewel was a great value for the price. The lobby area and the grounds are extremely well kept, including the pool that runs through the middle of the resort. The staff are fantastic, friendly, and accommodating.

The travel from the airport is a trek. It’s a 45 min ride which is close to $70 USD normally one way. We had reserved transportation and confirmed with the hotel 2 weeks prior. However, when we got to the airport, the shuttle service did not have our name and said the hotel never confirmed a car for us. They also didn’t have any cars available so the transportation company connected us to a different company. However, something got lost in translation so they took us to a closed property of Jewel’s and then had to trek out to the correct one. It was a lot to manage on our own and it ended up costing $120 because of the mistake. On our return trip, we talked to the concierge about transport back. No issue booking or timeliness; however, we asked the concierge if the taxi would take card and she confirmed it would be fine. However, when we got to the airport, the driver said he didn’t take card. Luckily the airport had an ATM. Highly recommend taking cash with you for transport to and from airport plus giving $3-4 per meal for your servers and baggage carriers even at all inclusive places. No one asks you for tips but it seems like they would appreciate it.

The food was ok - the buffets had a lot of options and I was able to find at least one thing to tide me over. The coffee was fantastic. The appetizers at the a la carte restaurant dinner options were great, but the entree meats were on the well done side so tended to be tough.

The rooms themselves are somewhat outdated and could use some renovations, especially the bathrooms. Not a deal breaker since we hardly spent any time in there. We chose the standard room option with 2 full beds, which was on the tighter fit for three people (2 adults and a child).

The ocean side views were beautiful; however, the water and beach area itself was overrun by brown seaweed so we didn’t swim in it at all.

We spent 2 full days and a half day on each end of those which felt like the perfect amount of time for the purpose of relaxing in one spot.

I think some of the issues we ran into was first time inexperience, but I’d go back happily.

We booked this trip through JetBlue vacations and so did our family members. We booked the same exact rooms and paid the same amount of money. When we got to the resort the person who checked us in told us that our family member booked a better room and if we wanted to stay in the same building as them we had to pay an additional 50 bucks a night. We said no way and went to our room. We stayed in room 8320. The room was a good size however everything else was terrible. The furniture looked like it’s been there since the early 90’s. The bathroom was disgusting and there was hair everywhere. Our balcony had no chairs and every other room in the building had chairs.

I strongly believe that this resort controls the air conditioning although each room has a thermostat. We brought the AC down to the lowest temp possible, 23 degrees celsius. At night it would automatically go up to 23.5 with no option to bring it down lower. I woke up EVERY SINGLE NIGHT drenched in sweat. The AC system was extremely loud so I didn’t sleep well at all.

As for the food, it wasn’t terrible I was able to find something to eat everyday. The only reason why this hotel is getting 3 stars out of 5 is because of the staff. Although the resort itself needs a lot of work, the staff was phenomenal. I know that a lot of these people live off of tips but they just all went out of their way without expecting anything. Of course everyone we came in contact with we tipped but them being so nice definitely helped.

I have to go back to the AC because although our family members stood in a more upgraded room, their AC also sucked. We met a family in the pool who complained about the same thing. It’s July, we should be sleeping in comfort!

10-day trip to Jewel Punta Cana, a site of great beauty, pleasing to the eye, mature and full of life. The place is very clean, the staff is welcoming and respectful. The beach was super beautiful, practically no algae (a day and a half out of 10 days and they cleaned it up quickly). The restaurants offer varied and very good menus. The buffet offers a huge choice and the quality is there. The whole hotel is more pleasant. The bedroom furniture and bathrooms are in need of a major refresh, but the beds are comfortable. To be honest, we appreciated the cleanliness, the employees, the restaurants, the meals. No reservations at restaurants, always places available at the beach, under the palapas. I recommend this hotel
