A friend and I stayed here for 2 weeks as part of a business trip/ medical work trip, and we had an amazing time. The owners of the house are warm and welcoming, and lots of fun. The property is well kept with a pool and lounging areas, many outdoor animals, and a spacious house with nice balconies. Breakfast was included and always delicious, and the two housekeepers are very warm and put lots of effort in taking care of your room and the house. The location itself is great, and is within a 20-25 minute walk of grocery stores, transportation stops, and many of the well known restaurants in La Romana. The owners will help you figure out transportation and places to go around the city. The only thing was that our room had no AC (fans were provided) but it was still hot...other rooms have AC for more $. Overall, an excellent trip and excellent place to stay.

This October I took my first solo trip out of the country. I was very nervous about where to stay, but after reading reviews, I thought I'd give this B&B a shot. I'm sure glad I did. The owners, Catherine and Eduardo, are amazing people. They were both so kind, warm and friendly, and so was the staff. They made sure I had transportation from and to the airport (for a fee, of course). The driver, Fransisco, was so cool. He spoke English (thankfully, because my Espanol is awful) and, basically, gave me a mini tour and history of the country. I had a nice breakfast in the morning. The maids (I hate that I forgot their names) were so sweet. My room was clean, comfortable and spacious. I could not have asked for more. Even the animals are friendly. I admit, I have a soft spot in my heart for anyone who rescues pets, and Eduardo and Catherine have 3 cats, 5 dogs, rabbits, ducks and birds. I. Love. This. Place! When I visit D.R. again, this is where I will stay. Resorts? Please, so overrated.

Catherine and Family were lovely hosts. We could always count on a relaxing atmosphere in a clean and homelike environment. The pool at the end of the day was refreshing! The family is so very nice and we will hopefully return some day!

I stayed with Catherine and Steve for two weeks with one of my colleague while we are doing global health rotation as resident in La Romana. The location is very convenient to town center about 15min walk or <5 min taxi drive. The area is very safe to walk around. There are nearby local shop for drinks and a very good empanadas place which I strongly recommend. The place itself was amazing. I stayed in second floor with my own living room and bathroom, very spacious. They also offer a nice small rhomboid shaped pool which is very refreshing. The included breakfast is amazing. The helper will make fresh juice, eggs, Home made jams along with other fresh local food. The view from breakfast is spectacular. Catherine does have 3 very well behaved cats roaming around the house as well as few dogs that’s outdoor only. Overall I enjoyed the place very much!! Strongly recommended if you are staying the La Romana area! If I’m back to visit i will definitely stay again.

I had a pleasure of staying with Catherine in her beautiful home in La Romana. She is a wonderful host and if very helpful and friendly. When I arrived I was greeted with fresh juice and fruits. House is very clean, spacious with nice pool and patio. Catherine is a very kind person who saves animals and has 5 dogs, 3 cats, many colorful birds in her back yard. All animals are very well behaved and friendly. I love animals so this was an added bonus to my trip. The house has a nice view of the water from the patio. I would highly recommend her place to anyone traveling by themselves or with family. Thank you for a wonderful experience. I look forward to coming back soon.

The place is really a family house with several rooms to let. The hosts Catherine and Eduardo are extremely friendly, they make you feel at home. The rooms are impeccably clean and properly furnished.. The location is in a nice neighborhood of La Romana but you have to go out, with own car or Taxi either to a beach or to restaurants to night life. Excellent to spend a night or two, but not if you are looking for a resort.

My friends and my family spent there 3 days. Home was very comfortable and clean, the host was very kind and friendly. Gave us her support in every need. We arrived late in the evening and she offered a great dish of fruit. Last but not the least from one of the terraces we could enjoy an amazing view.
We denitively recommend it and we will surely take it into consideration for next trip to La Romana.
Thanks Cathy for your kindness and professionality.

Catherine and Eduardo were so lovely hosts to me! I didn't felt comfortable when I arrived in the Dominican Republic but around her place I felt secure and comfortable. I wanted to extend my stay but the rooms where already booked out so Catherine offered me a sofa which was very comfortable too!
They really cared for me to feel good, gave me tips, offered me cheap and safe rides with their car and helped me finding a bus to Punta Cana.
The breakfast was also very nice and was a mixture of local fruits and jams and a regular breakfast with egg, toast, ham and cheese.

They host people because they love to do so and one can feel that - I wouldn't even consider any other location to stay when I come back! 100% recommendation!

Hi Marvin, Tk's a lot Marvin, I was happy to meet you and be able to give you a nice and safe place. Young people needs to discover the country but in the same time to feel at ease, even if they travel with backpack. I want young people having a great place to rest and be with us like a family who care for them. I should be happy to see you again. Warmly. Catherine

We got to spend full two weeks at this amazing location while doing a global health elective in La Romana. To me, the stay with Catherine, Steve and the staff was just what we were looking for. The guesthouse is a beautiful house full of life- beautiful flowers, turtles in the pond and hummingbirds on the trees. The house is located a bit out of the center but within few minutes drive from it, we used taxis and public transportation that were very easy, cheap and efficient to use. For us the best part was the location in a real (yet safe) residential Dominican neighborhood, the complete antithesis to the all inclusive resort seclusion. Highly recommended!!!

It"s a very nice, family hotel. A very beautiful villa, very nice clean rooms and house. Free Wifi. Good food and breakfast with fresh fruits and juice. Very friendly hotel employees there are obliging too.
Terrace, first and second floor. Nice garden, with nice pool, hammock, lounger and with another seats.
The owner is very friendly, helpful and hospitable. I was in the hotel for stopover to go on the Aida Cruise. She helped me to organized taxi transfer to fair prices from Punta Cana airport to La Romana Chambres d' hotes, from La Romana to the harbour and my return transfer from La Romana to additional hotel to Punta Cana.
Recommended!

Hello Stanwood, I have paid from the airport to the hotel in La Romana 95,00 Dollar. The driver must twice pay toll collect at the motorway. If you like to book taxi- transfer-Service about the Internet you will pay 110,- till 120 USD. If you need a taxi from a hotel in Punta Cana to the airport you pay 25 USD. I hope I have helped you. Kind regards.
