It’s a new hotel with good facilities and very pleasant resort vibes. As Hilton members, we appreciated the room upgrade even though this was not required from a Hilton Garden Inn. We also enjoyed the daily breakfast which had a good selection of western breakfast items including cooked-to-order omelettes. The female staff serving at the restaurant were attentive and friendly during our breakfast. The fitness centre was also well-equipped for an exercise session.

There are restaurants about 15-20min walk away and the hotel does provide a complimentary one-way buggy shuttle in the day.

One area to improve was the housekeeping and we felt they could do better with cleaning of the room floors - for example, mopping it on alternative days. Another thing was that the hotel was unable to provide toothbrushes or toothpaste which was a minor inconvenience.

I definitely would recommend this hotel. From PUJ to hotel is about an hour or so give or take on traffic. It was $90 each way and make sure to mention to your taxi or shuttle service the Hilton Garden Inn otherwise they will take you to the all inclusive Hilton which is about 20 minutes away.

The hotel itself is fairly new about few months opened so that was a plus. If you want tranquil, relaxing, and quiet this is the spot. As soon as you walk through the front doors the staff is very welcoming, respectful, and very helpful. Wiley at the desk was amazing for my stay. The restaurant and bar staff wonderful especially Fluery (I hope I spelled it correctly). My room was beautiful with ocean balcony view. I did enjoy the pool, its not heated, but clean, and was maintained each morning that I was there. Pool towels are available for you if needed, and restrooms outside by the pool area. There was some building going on for the 6 days I was there, a concert was for that Saturday night so they were building the stage and stuff, I do wish that I was notified ahead of time so I could have decided to stay or not. Otherwise it was fine you got use to the noise basically. The food was good and they had the buffet for breakfast. There is a cute gift shop area located by the front desk. I did get to speak briefly to the GM upon my departure she was very nice. The owner Edwin was nice seen him a couple of times in the lobby/bar area during my stay, he was preparing for the concert.

Make sure to visit the pier/tower/boat dock area that’s in back of the hotel. It has a mini beach area to swim, as well as take great photos and a shop that makes drinks. You will feel safe at this property with in in house security and the military personnel that is stationed outside back of hotel. It’s simply gorgeous! If you need to get groceries or anything they have the supermarket that is not far away called Jumbo. If you want to book an excursion you can go to front desk and they will assist you!

The con for this property is no ATM, make sure you bring enough cash if you are looking to tip.

We loved this hotel until the hiccups hit, everything was solved but as a Dominican living in the USA I felt disrespected by some of the waiters/bartenders attending the pool. Everything got solved by Hotel Manager Virginia Gomez. On the other hand, the pool was amazing, the vibe, the sunset, we loved it! Our kids had a great time, beware of the mosquitoes (we are in the Caribbean, so bring repellent). Shout out to Chef Alejandro at breakfast who was amazing and all the girls attending the breakfast area. Also a special mention to Enrique Soba for the top-notch service before, during and after our stay. Rooms were so clean and the hotel well kept. As a diamond member they greeted us and gave us all the perks. Location wise simply amazing!!! If you want to go enjoy Playa Dominicus, Saona island, Playa Esmeralda or Miches this is the perfect place to stay, also very close to punta Cana airport and the best empanadas in la romana "cativias". Thank you Virginia Gomez, we will come back for a perfect stay without any hiccups.

This hotel is unfortunately a disaster from back to front and I honestly don't know where to start ☹

We arrived at dark at 21h, tired after a 20 hour arrival – had booked (we are a family of 5 people) a suite with 5 sleeping possibilities (about 84 sqm, bed with bedroom, pull-out couch, extra bed); all prepaid.

I had also taken the trouble to write to the hotel 2 times in advance so that this would work safely – always without an answer (anyway clear)

Check-in rather very long and tedious, all the time the receptionists had to chat with each other (we only speak English, no Spanish, who understood nothing ) I asked at the key handover still if all 5 beds were made anyway and with a shrug and a , Yes yes get as an answer

We came to the room – except the double bed NOTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call reception asking to add the other beds immediately - after 20 minutes NOTHING !!! Meanwhile all 3 children had fallen asleep (2 in bed, 1 on the unmade sofa)
I made a pilgrimage to the reception and begged again – yes, would happen in a moment

Overall, I was 4 times at the reception until 23h and called 3 times, without success.

At the same time I noticed water in the shower/toilet/sink – brown (see picture) and asked for some (free water ) – because each bottle you had to pay

At 23h20 the following happened (while I was at the reception) – someone woke up my children, came with a bed, and took off the sofa – AND, these 3 sleeping arrangements got linens, nothing more (no pillows, no blankets) – so again to the reception, again promising that housekeeping would come already

They also came, with 2 x 0.5l water (5 people) and nothing else – when I can mean quite angry – yes and when the beds are made ready came in – “Calm down, we will make it” ; Finally after 3 hours we had everything , but I was allowed to cover the beds myself, that did not make the housekeeping anymore

Otherwise:
Breakfast; rather poor, staff completely emotionless, no greeting, you address them or smile then they hardly anything comes – it is no fun to work

It’s covered inside – about 60% of the people were sitting outside – you had to take the blankets from inside (they were then simply covered but no one even came up with the idea of bringing something to the guests outside) – was hardly cleared, coffee certainly not served

We also made the mistake of eating there – tends to be expensive, drinks came after 45 min, eating after an hour (and we were the only guests besides a second table)

Outdoor area overall very unkempt – loose and broken tiles, dirt, old ladders, broken lamps stood around everywhere – it almost gives the impression that the hotel was closed for renovation because it seemed like a construction site

A lot of airline crews stay at the hotel, I guess it’s enough for that – but I can’t recommend anyone staying here and it’s a shame it’s part of the Hilton Group ☹

I stayed at this hotel twice, first before a cruise that left in La Romana, one night and after the cruise for 2 more nights.
I chose it because it was close to the port and because it was a Hilton.
A disappointment from the beginning in many ways, the first opportunity, the hotel collapsed due to the arrival of passengers who would take the cruise, there was no service in the bar or restaurant... after waiting 2 hours they served us in the restaurant and the food was scarce and very expensive . The prices of this hotel are as if you were in New York and the experience is not worth it at all.
On the second stay something similar happened, first the room did not open so we had to wait for the door sensor to be fixed, instead of changing rooms (hotel almost empty) the attention of the girl at the reception is very bad and with apathy,
Then the restaurant is the same... slow service, it takes longer than normal to bring dishes... and they don't bring you even a single piece of bread at least because of the excessive waiting time (at that time, 9:30 p.m., it was us and about two other couples).
In short, I would not return to this hotel, consumer prices are excessive and something happens that its staff is scarce and slow.

We spent two days here before our cruise. The hotel is beautiful, clean, well taken care of. However, the location is pretty isolated and it didn't feel safe to leave to have meals somewhere else. Prices are on the high side, and after the 18% tax amd the mandatory 10% gratuity, they are even higher.

The first night we had dinner a la carte. Food was ok-ish (the chicken in my salad was really dry), but the service was slow and...weird? The appetizers came together with the mains, the dessert showed up after the coffee because they forgot about it . We were one of three tables, so it's not like they were slammed.

The second night the hotel was packed with other cruise goers. They had a small dinner menu and a buffet option. We went for the buffet, but had to ask for drink menues twice and eventually I got up and got them myself. Table never got cleared between courses, either. (Shout out to the gentleman sitting two tables down who shouted "if you don't want to serve me, just say so!") Buffet food was good, but it ended up being U$D 50 per person.

Drinks by the pool took forever to show up; it wasn't much better ordering at the bar...but the bartender lady was quick to shout at one of us when she thought we hadn't paid (we had).

So, come for the views and the pool, but bring snacks.

The hotel is undeniably beautiful, with stunning architecture and great potential. However, the management and service leave much to be desired. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience at all during my stay.

From the start, the check-in process was poorly handled. The employee who checked us in not only sent us to the wrong room but also failed to log the charges to our account correctly. This caused significant confusion at checkout, and even a week later, we are still waiting for a response from Jessika, the Receptionist Coordinator, regarding reimbursement.

The staff's customer service skills are shockingly poor for a resort that charges such a premium. The service throughout our stay was painfully slow, and there was no sense of urgency or attentiveness.

It is such a shame that a hotel this beautiful is marred by such poor management and service. For the high cost, I expected much better and cannot recommend this resort based on my experience.

Some service points and their ability to cater and receive guests should be improved. For example, it’s a little uncomfortable that you go down to breakfast and you don’t find coffee, cutlery, water at the law firm and that a large part of your meals to be provided are finished and that it’s still breakfast time, they should be better prepared for peak visitor flow dates. Other details of the service and attention to improve.

I came with a production of a film of more the 30 people. This hotel is a mess. Starting off the entire welcome staff is rude. Particularly Willy. As I was checking out he is saying very loudly and upset that our group “asks for too much” mind you, we are asking mainly to have our dollars changed to pesos since we are working daily and cannot access a bank when we are off which is in the evenings. He has made a show in this lobby about how mad he is. Super unprofessional and just unacceptable behavior. Franchesca has been the only nice person to our team here and Anel. I don’t think any of these employees have worked at a hotel before and are making it up as they go. Several rooms had broken a.c’s and two smelled like cigarettes. There is no hospitality. Ice buckets in the room but only ice in the lobby. Breakfast was old, ham sandwich had rancid ham. No one wants to work except Francesca and Anel. We have filled this hotel up with costumers and instead of being appreciative and hospitable to make tips, it’s been the opposite.
Willy needs to go.

Enjoyed our stay here very much. The hotel is new and very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and had beautiful bathrooms. There was a small balcony. The only thing I can complain about in the room was the tile needed a better mopping. The shower was fantastic, safes in rooms. Checkin was very nice with dancing and music accompanied by a welcome drink. The pool awesome and the grounds beautiful. It is very close to the cruise port of LaRomana which is why we stayed here. About an hour drive from Punta Cana airport. We arranged a private transfer to and from the area for our cruise. We took a taxi from the hotel to port the morning of the cruise. There is one restaurant in the hotel. Over priced for sure. Breakfast was 23.00 with tax and gratuity for buffet style. I believe dinner was 34.00. Also buffet style. You can also order a few sandwiches etc from the bar. Oh one other downside for safety-the concierge (?) arranging for taxis when we were checking in asked for our room number. We were women traveling alone and I told him I would rather not share that info due to safety and over my head he asked the clerk our room number and he gave it to him! Managers, please rectify that process! I always carry door alarms and an additional lock so we did utilize that but I don’t see why they couldn’t just take down a name for the next morning. You can’t be too cautious these days. Would I stay again, yes. I’ll try to share some photos.
