We loved our 8 day stay. Eclectic, clean rooms. Coffee and lounging in the living spaces, and opportunity to meet other guess. If you are looking for luxury, bling type of stay go to a resort.(boring, costly, and no culture I am told) If you are looking to stay in a heritage hotel with charter, Hotel Kevin is your place. For 2 women with not alot of travel experience, this place was safe and central to restaurants, museums, shops and the beach. If you want to go to a nice beach go to playa Dorado, taxi 150 DOC , 3$US. Also this places uses solar panels, super smart, and enviro friendly. Good people working here, super safe. No worries. Puerto Plata gives you a taste of everything and is more economical. I'll be back 😉💜

When booking my stay I was in contact with the owner in regards to a hotel pickup in the middle of the night. Not only did he and another hotel employee pick me up at 2AM, they made sure I was well taken care of when I arrived to the hotel w/food,water. I felt comfortable throughout the entire 1.5 hour journey from the airport to the hotel. My room was always serviced, front desk staff always greeted me, and the owner, who is there often, always asked me if I am ok. He even guided another guest to take me down the street to find a nearby restaurant when I mentioned I was hungry.

Even though it's not a five stars hotel, my boyfriend and I spent a good night there. The lady receptionist was friendly, water was for free, and they offered coffee in the morning. I really liked the decorations, bathroom was clean, the TV in the room works like a smart tv, and location was extremely convenient. Only two details left me not satisfied: 1. Towels and bed sheets could be more clean. 2. Hair dryer didn't work. Finally, they have various pets, but my boyfriend loved the cat. It was cute and friendly.

In reality this is a budget hotel that is fine for adventure like travelers. The rooms were acceptably comfortable bed were just OK. There were a number of older foreign men with younger native girls staying there. Everyone was courteous and no real complaints. Not a family place though, kids would ask too many questions.

Small hotel on peaceful place near the cathedral and fortress for really good price. They have parking place, big hall with sofa and tv and small but colorful rooms. It gives you basics what you need to sleep normally. Don't go in details, just enjoy in moment and then all will is perfect.
