The Presidential Suites at Cofresi Beach and the hotel properties are beautiful and very clean. Our mini vacation was a very pleasant one and what made it even more special was the service we received. My husband and I traveled with our six year old Autistic child. For those who have a child on the spectrum, you can understand some of the challenges we face overall. Our original room was on the third floor and Daniel at the Front Desk Reception made it his mission to accomodate us when I mentioned to him that we could not be on the third floor due to my son having an impaired sense of danger. Although the hotel was super full, Daniel moved us to a lower floor. At Casablanca the Main buffet at Tropical Lifestyle, Capitan Felix and Chef Reyes were able to accomodate my son's meals. My son loves cream of wheat and they were able to prepare it for him although they only served oatmeal. My son loves breaded chicken and they were able to cook it for him. The entire wait staff at Casablanca starting from Jenny( the pregnant young lady) and all of the servers were phenomenal and very understanding. In addition to, they are following all of the COVID 19 guidelines and ensuring that everyone is safe, even opening additional restaurants for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner to ensure that restaurant are not over capacity . Also, you must try the Brazilian Restaurant which is very good along with the Seafood Restaurant. At the Seafood restaurant, they make the best "Moro De Habichuelas Negras" Rice with Black beans. Kudos to the great job they are doing at this resort. We were truly impressed with the service and attention we received.…
I should have sent this last year when I went. It might have saved some people their money. I just spoke with an acquaintance who happened to stay here and had a similar experience so I decided the write this long review. BE WARNED. Attached is a picture I took of another guest at the resort that was wearing this shirt to protest the treatment she and her family received after signing up for a Gold level membership and spending tens of thousands of dollars. AFTER they bought in they NEVER received what they were promised. We also met a couple from Sweden whose father left them his gold level membership when he died. They brought the wife’s elderly mother and father with them. After 19 hours of flights they were not given the helicopter ride they were promised instead they were stuffed in a cab with another couple they did not know and had to make the 1.5 hour drive. They were then put in an old outdated villa where the air did not work and was not fixed for 30 hours. They were also not given the promised golf cart for 2 days so they had to bring food back tot he villa for the parents who were not able to walk far enough to get to the restaurants. Here is my experience We were promised a 6 bedroom villa with a pool, internet, top shelf alcohol, a catered bar b que one night, breakfast prepared everyday, housekeeping twice a day, food delivery, a golf cart and our pick of dinner at any restaurant each evening. We were informed 2 days before leaving for this vacation that no villa of any kind was available and we would be given 2 presidential suites (4 bedrooms) for 6 people only 2 of which were related by marriage. BTW the rooms did not have consistent hot water. This was never fixed. We received No golf cart so we had to walk everywhere or wait to catch the bus which was up a hill. The resort is hilly and one in our group had a bad hip from a car accident which is why we needed the golf cart. We were not allowed to choose our restaurants. They choose for you and if you have a request they make you check back several times a day to see if they can grant your request. The strange thing is when you get to the restaurant after all the hoops and hollars they are never busy so why the big deal???? Looking for gourmet food FORGET IT. They use the same food from the buffet in the specialty restaurants and dress it up with a garnish or a sauce neither of which makes it any better really. You might as well eat at the buffet the whole time. The shopping on the resort sucks. They have designer clothes, jewlery and eyewear from many seasons ago for just about what you would have paid when it was current. What a joke! The entertainment is horrible as well. Think middle school Fall play or band performance. Staying drunk enough to forget about how mad you are will be on your dime. They give you a liquor allotment which you as a VIP have to go pick up at 2 different places in the afternoon. You have to wait in line and sign up at the main tower to get the liquor before 11 am then wait until 2 pm to go to a little carry out store front to pick it up. 1 vodka, 1 rum, 1 very cheap champagne, red and white wine and probably something else I can’t remember because it was no good. We ended up buying our own from one of the resort stores. Life is too short for cheap champagne. We went to the spa where the massages were good. But no services. Really! No cucumber water, no champagne, no food and they over billed us. I had to walk back and forth between the front desk and the spa (down a steep hill) 2 times to get it corrected. They tried to be slick and get me to buy spa products, which sucked, instead of my money back. 🤨 Here is what works If you are just looking for a no frills get away with a clean room, food and a nice beach, this is the place for you. If you are a timeshare partner this place might not be bad for you. The property is beautiful but needs maintenance in some parts and they need to spray for mosquitoes which are everywhere. The beaches are nice if you don’t mind people trying sell you stuff all the time. The VIP beach areas have the best food and service. This is the ONLY place in the whole resort you might feel like a VIP. Otherwise you are just someone to be managed. Somewhat nicely at first but if you complain too much or become too difficult they will threaten to kick you off the resort. We saw this when the lady wearing the protest shirt was asked to take it off or be kicked off the resort by security. There is no recourse for any bad action in the resorts part. They employ most of the people in the region so everyone is in the resorts pocket. Any contract you sign is under Dominican Rep law and has to be arbitrated there. How far do you think you will get if you had to sue. NO WHERE. The staff is nice but they play the telephone game. If you ask for something they DONT WANT TO GIVE YOU they will call someone, maybe the wizard of OZ, on the phone and ask then hang up and tell you that it is not available or to check back later and they will do their best to accommodate you. Most of the time you will NOT be accommodated. This is a sham. I have traveled all over the world and this was one of the worst experiences I have had. I can deal with things not being 5 ⭐️ but don’t promise me something and don’t deliver or even come close.…
It's a beautiful property and the room was pretty awesome. The staff especially was great: Julio Nice, Candy, Kiko, Coco Loco, and Scooby were all great at keeping us entertained despite that it rained a lot while I was there. Lizandy was my favorite bartended. He was always smiling and made the best drinks.
We loved the Presidential Suites but we were moved after 1 1/2 days to an inferior resort because of COVIT19. I serve a free voucher for another 2 bedroom suite at the Presidential Suite with all inclusive paid for 1 week.
Rooms were cleaned every day. Sheets were also changed everyday. Staff were friendly and superb. Diana, at the front desk were fantastic and always available for anything you needed. Jolio Nice-Kiko, Speedway Gonzales , Anderson our waiter just to mention a few were so great. Anything you need was always readily available. The food was great, lots of variety for breakfast lunch and dinner. I will certainly go again
