Overall we always enjoy the staff and servers at this resort. They try very hard to please you as a guest. Special mention to Jalisa at the President check in desk. She was very helpful in taking care of a couple of minor issue. And she does it with a smile. Also "Wil Smith" and Ronny at the VIP pool were excellent and fun bar tenders.

Property's Favourite Review
The Presidential Suites at Cofresi Beach and the hotel properties are beautiful and very clean. Our mini vacation was a very pleasant one and what made it even more special was the service we received. My husband and I traveled with our six year old Autistic child. For those who have a child on the spectrum, you can understand some of the challenges we face overall. Our original room was on the third floor and Daniel at the Front Desk Reception made it his mission to accomodate us when I mentioned to him that we could not be on the third floor due to my son having an impaired sense of danger. Although the hotel was super full, Daniel moved us to a lower floor. At Casablanca the Main buffet at Tropical Lifestyle, Capitan Felix and Chef Reyes were able to accomodate my son's meals. My son loves cream of wheat and they were able to prepare it for him although they only served oatmeal. My son loves breaded chicken and they were able to cook it for him. The entire wait staff at Casablanca starting from Jenny( the pregnant young lady) and all of the servers were phenomenal and very understanding. In addition to, they are following all of the COVID 19 guidelines and ensuring that everyone is safe, even opening additional restaurants for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner to ensure that restaurant are not over capacity . Also, you must try the Brazilian Restaurant which is very good along with the Seafood Restaurant. At the Seafood restaurant, they make the best "Moro De Habichuelas Negras" Rice with Black beans. Kudos to the great job they are doing at this resort. We were truly impressed with the service and attention we received.

The resort is huge, however it becomes less appealing when you realize the limitations. Stayed in the two bedroom suite, clean and absolutely spacious. We had a group of five everyone had their own space and then some. However Wi-fi is terrible, make sure to have a data plan. Restaurants were good, buffet hit or miss. If you enjoy top notch alcohol, and partying I would not stay here, because you would be disappointed. The major issue is the wristbands, I had the next to the highest level and couldn't access three beach areas which also housed the ice cream bar, crepes and better grill. The above should be available to everyone. I stayed at cheaper resorts and had way more amenities and snack options. Entertainment is just ok, I have seen better. I enjoyed the beach/pool areas that felt luxurious. This place is for you if you want: a nice and clean space, plan to chill and unwind completely, be in bed by 9/10pm, and don't expect a lot of amenities.

I truly believe that if anyone is going to stay at this Resort I hope you read this review before booking and book at the other Resort Tropical which is much nicer, cleaner, and better service. To start off it was my birthday weekend and the first room we checked-in too the bed mattress felt like a kid mattress and I could feel the springs on my back. After the 1st night in that room we complained and we were moved to the same room just 3 floor ups. This room the tube was clogged and the sink too. We complained with guest service and front desk and they did nothing about it for 2 days by the second day we ran out of beer and water and we called to get the fridge refreshed and we never got any water or beer for the remaining of our stay which was 4 days later. the service sucks and the beach is not in that resorts its at the other resort which you have to take a shuttle to get to since its a long walk in the heat and up/down hills streets. the pool looked green and dirty and the restaurant at this resort really suck. They had not flavor and taste nasty. The bar only had 4 options of alcohol and it tasted like crap. Our stay was horrible and the Resort took us on a tour to upgrade our wrist band which turned out to be a lie since we didn't buy one of their timeshares and don't fall for the 1 hour tour cuz it was 4 hrs. of nothing and prices were crazy expensive. The COVID-19 test to return was done at the other resort Tropical which was a lot nicer and cleaner. We had to wait almost an hour to get the test done to then get the results back at our hotel after they tell you to wait for the results there which we wasted another 45 mins for nothing. The people working there accept you to tip them every time you ask or want something if not they don't service you or they just walk away and forget you ever asked them.

: the property is clean and well-maintained and the pools are great, the staff are very friendly and helpful, The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Any maintenance issue was taken care of quickly. Beaches were uncrowded and beautiful. Water is clean and warm, and there are some little waves for boogie-boarding but nothing unworkable for little kids or seniors. I loved the cabanas, which are free and were almost always available. The resort had great food. They even offered some authentic Dominican dishes if you're interested in trying something new. Don't miss the "mamajuana," a Dominican specialty spiced rum/wine drink. Wine selection is just red or white, and restaurants don't serve a full bar, but we never were lacking. Best pina coladas are on the beach. If you order drinks from the beach in the morning before they run out of glassware, they are super generous with the portions and the style. Without going into an extra long post here, we simply had a great week long family vacation

Money trap don't even bother coming to this hotel... Pushing you to buy property in order to give you golf carts that they promise you. It's just a huge hustle since the moment you come in. Employees believe they deserve the tips they aren't grateful or believe they need to work for it. Been to many inclusive this was by far the worst.

Just the right size to have all the services but small enough to have friendly staff that always greeted you with a smile. Able to visit other Lifestyle Resorts on site via shuttle & golf carts to enjoy their amenities as well; a variety of restaurants, spa (great massages & hot pool), and beaches. Wide balcony that was well furnished and spacious rooms that were very clean. A special thanks to Kathy at the front desk for all of your extra efforts in taking care of us over the two weeks that we stayed at the Presidential Suites. It helped to make our trip very stress free.

First, the positives: the property is clean and well-maintained (if just a teenie, tiny bit shabby), the pools are great, the staff are friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious and comfortable. Any maintenance issue was taken care of quickly and courteously--we had a running toilet and a Murphy bed that the staff needed to release themselves. Beaches are narrow and not super soft, but also uncrowded and beautiful. There is even some minor snorkeling on the far right side of the beach. Water is clean and warm, and there are some little waves for boogie-boarding but nothing unworkable for little kids or seniors. I loved the cabanas, which are free and were always available if we got to the beach before 11 a.m. or so. I have had bad experiences with all-inclusive resort food in the past, but this resort had great food. They even offered some authentic Dominican dishes if you're interested in trying something new. Don't miss the "mamajuana," a Dominican specialty spiced rum/wine drink. There were some food downsides (example: every noodle dish had apparently the same noodles whether it said "soba" or "rice vermicelli" or "spaghetti"), but I don't think we had a bad meal there. Wine selection is just red or white, and restaurants don't serve a full bar, but we never were lacking. Best pina coladas are on the beach. If you order drinks from the beach in the morning before they run out of glassware, they are super generous with the portions and the style. PLEASE NOTE: I read beforehand that some people had trouble booking restaurants, and I believe we did NOT have trouble only because we arrived exactly at 9 a.m. when they said restaurant booking was available. We went for New Year's Eve, and the evening extravaganza was truly spectacular. Food was outstanding and plentiful. Bring really good earplugs... it was excruciatingly loud, but fortunately we came prepared. Fireworks, 50 different types of cuisine, "Lifestyle dancers," and some great times. So why the middle rating? You need to be aware of the drawbacks. First and foremost, we booked two rooms in two different "resorts" within the compound, and when we got there we discovered that they don't give access to the full resort. After much bargaining (and crying), we canceled one room and all bunked together in the suite. It was a tighter fit but still comfortable. Nevertheless, be VERY clear about what you are getting. They basically were trying to convince us that it was OK for my family not to be able to eat together for two meals a day. Insane for a family vacation. We were initially booked in a third-floor walkup. Not good for my 80+ in-laws. The resort did, to their credit, rebook us into another comparable room the second day, but my in-laws would have really suffered if there hadn't been more rooms available. Add to that fact: the staff talk loudly day and night, and we were awakened more than once by hotel staff practically shouting. Second, the resort is not exactly all-inclusive. Certain hotel segments get you access to certain parts of the resort. The "Presidential Suites" where we ended up all staying gave access to most but not all of the pools, restaurants and beaches. Periodically, we came up against the "not included." Want to use the mini-golf? Not included... $10 per person. Play tennis? Not included unless you brought your own rackets and balls. There's even a "VIP" section of dinner menus only for "gold" members. No snorkels, boogie boards... you get the point. We had a great time just using the pools and beach, but we fortunately brought our own equipment including a few snorkels. As others have mentioned, they are insanely aggressive with marketing, and they use "more perks" as an incentive knowing that the resort isn't actually all-inclusive. The second day, our "concierge" said he would take us for a tour of the property. "Is this a sales pitch?" I asked. "We're not interested." "No, it's just a tour." Well, it was a sales pitch. After 45 minutes of us asking to be taken back to our hotel, we were finally released. A waste of their time and ours! Be aware that there is a lot of walking on the property. We are very fit, and the beach was only an 8-10 minute walk away, but my older in-laws had to take time-consuming shuttles everywhere. There are golf carts available... for "gold" guests only again. Some parts of the resort aren't really connected, and the map is confusing. We didn't mind wandering around and getting lost a few times, but the walking aint for the faint of heart. Another downside of the walking: the gold carts, shuttles and maintenance vehicles are diesel, so there is a pretty constant smell of diesel everywhere you walk except certain paths inside the resorts. We ended up diverting our walks to areas between buildings sometimes to avoid the stench. We did see a number of hotel staff with masks under their noses, and the person cleaning our room wore her mask on her chin! Fortunately, she did not apparently have COVID. Finally, I think we overpaid. We used RCI points (exchanged from Hilton Grand Vacations points), and then paid $50 per person per day for all-inclusive. Ironically, some lower-end parts of the resort have higher per-day inclusive charges. While there, we encountered a Canadian couple who stayed for $700 a week per person INCLUDING roundtrip airfare from Toronto. Therefore, I conclude that you should try to get a discount package tour rather than booking straight.

I had a wonderful experience at this lovely hotel the Presidental Suite Lifestyle in Puerto Plata. I stayed for a week with my family. I had the pleasure to be greeted at the front desk by a wonderful woman name Kathy and she was such a lovely person. She honestly made the experience way better. Kathy made sure that our check in was smooth and to top it off she had already made reservations for different restaurants for us and we did not have to worry about that. I loved that she remembered our faces and would always greet us in the morning with excitement. If you ever get the chance to come to this hotel make sure you check in with Kathy because she will make your experience here even better. She provided a map for us and made sure to explain to us how to get around the hotel. Also, where the restaurants are located that she made reservations to and where is the best spots just be at peace. This hotel is huge so that was very helpful!!!! Overall the whole staff at the hotel are lovely people. The food was excellent, the drinks were on point, and the services was a blessing! DO NOT HESITATE TO STAY HERE! I promise you, you will not be disappointed!!!!!!!

My sister, my cousin, and I went to Lifestyle Presidential Suites in Puerto Plata to celebrate my cousin’s birthday, and let me tell you it was nothing less than PERFECTION!!!!! When we got there, we met Kathy at the front desk and she was a sweetheart from the start. She helped us book all of dinner reservations, she gave a detailed mapped tour of the resort, told us exactly how to get from one place to the other, the whole nine yards! When we were transported to and helped into suite, it was way more than we expected! Kathy promised that the room that we had was top notch, but that was an understatement. When they say it’s a presidential suite, not even Barack and Michelle Obama could have a room like this! Very clean, super spacious, and a view that was to die for. Afterwards, the three of us got around the resort smoothly because everything Kathy explained was so detailed that it was nearly impossible to get lost. We enjoyed every dinner, every drink, and every event that we attended. And my cousin really enjoyed her birthday week, which was the most important part. Aside from Kathy being amazing, the resort is beautiful, food and drinks were amazing, and the entire vibe of Lifestyle Resort in Puerto Plata was phenomenal. 1000% will recommend to anymore.
