I had to comment after reading some of the bad reviews. I'm thinking that these people probably would not be happy anywhere they traveled. We were there last February 2004 and are looking very forward to returning the first week of February 2005. We loved the swim up bar and there was always a bartender there with a big smile....

We thought we got a good boom for our buck at this resort. The resort is clean, 3 ala cart restaurants that were all fairly good and a big buffet restaurant that was also good[somedays better than others]. If you need water, you can get botteled water from a cooler in either the buffet restaurant or in the main bar....

I have traveled to a large amount of resorts, and have never felt the need to write a review because they have all been great! Unfortunatly we just got home from this resort and it was terrible. The entrance to the resort is not appealing at all, and smells like mildew. This is what they describe as the lobby for...

Puerto Plata village was a good 3 star. Let’s start with the negatives. We had a redeye flight, so if your flight schedule is different, you probably wouldn’t experience these problems. My flight arrived at the airport at 630 AM. We got through customs real quick and the buses were there and we were at our hotel in about 20...

This was our second vivst to the DR. in the past two years. Puerto Plata Village has alot of problems that are difficult to overlook. I am not intending to bad mouth this resort. I only want to give you an idea as what you might expect and experience. We arrived home today after one week at PPV ( dec.29-jan.05)....

We booked this vacation for our christmas holidays, we were there from Dec 25, 2004 thru Jan 1, 2005. Let me begin by saying this was our 3rd trip this year and I always book 3 star resorts. I am not a traveller who expects a lot. I simply like pleasant people, good food, sun and lots of entertaining fun....

My family had a wonderful time, I feel that we have a second home now. The food was good, if you enjoy caribean cuisine. The rooms were clean and moderately sized. the villas looked very picturesque, as well as the whole complex. It was a very affordable vacation, everything was included, you did not need your wallet for a whole...
