I stayed for a quick night (arrived late around 8pm and left at 2pm) because I went to the 27 charcos de damajagua. Francia was very welcoming! I would definetly return when I go again to Puerto Plata.
The hostel is less like a the kind of hostel you might be thinking of. It's more like a B&B with private rooms that have ensuite bathrooms. Also, the family live in the home across the pool and courtyard and upstairs from the hostel rooms....More
