I loved the resort overall, but it was also my first time in an all-inclusive resort for 1 week. The only parts I didn't like were that the room was freezing cold for me. The AC was on blast and I couldn't get them to lower it. They said 21degrees C. was the highest you can put it otherwise the water would leak from the ceilings or something. Sometimes the cleaning crew with knock in the morning if we didn't want them to or clean and forget to leave towel or two. I also didn't like that they offered a "welcome package" which was basically a tour of the VIP area advertising to pay for a VIP membership as part of the club for prime access to the best spots. I didn't like that I spent 1 hr or more being pressured to join and still didn't get the supposed gift. Otherwise, the food was great. I recommend the buffet all the time. I wasn't impressed with the diner reservation restaurants with cultural themes like the indochine and mexican restaurants. The food was bad quality there in my opinion. Buffet was the best. I loved the VIP beach, staff was good there and also made the best alcohol beverages of all the bars. pool was clean. i recommend the tropical over the cofresi palm resort. It looks and feels newer and cleaner. we weren't told beforehand that you need a massage or spa appointment to use the jacuzzi, and that we could only reserve 3 restaurants for dinner. I had gotten sick for one day and couldn't attend and also couldn't reschedule it. then they told me no more reservations allowed. Thankfully they have a good doctor on the premise. I think the beds are a bit too hard and have a little dip in them. also the fridge was hidden inside the cabinet drawers and you can barely open the fridge door without having to scoot the fridge forward and can't close the cabinet after. The electrical outlet was too far from where they placed the coffee maker so you have to move the coffee maker to plug it in.

This is NOT TO BE MISTAKEN with Presidential Suite (which is great & I’ll review that later). Do not do timshare here. I was taken by ride to a girl who wanted 20k for timeshare. She dared to ask how much money I have. NONE OF HER FREAKING BUSINESS! Then she brings her supervisor who said will drop to 5K. I actually showed her my 11k maxed out capital one credit card app balance. Then instead of proper goodbye, she just walks away & leaves me hanging outside. I asked for card & she said she don’t do that. Only in person. I will review the individual resort itself but the lifestyle building that brags about 37 bars n 7 beaches n 14 pools which has the lighting ad outside watch out cuz they are like snakes. I am here from 11/7-11/11 2022. Do yourself favor & stick with Amstar tour which is affordable & the guy who drops you off from presidential suite. They were great. Nothing to do with this timshare crap. I was carried away talking about myself: big mistake should have kept my mouth shut & the NERVE OF THEM asking how much money in my bank account.

I was at this resort from 10-9-22 to 10-16-22. The staff was great and made sure we sat in the same area with excellent servers. We're tippers so that might have been why our service was great a $1 or $2+ can show a person you appreciate their work. Ok let's get on with it Cons: I'm doing this one 1st since it's so little of them for me. 1. The hot water.. it do exist you might just have to make a phone call and then it on. Now I did put it to the text and it just take about 20 minutes for it to get hot. 2. The club on the resort is not open so after the last show which put you at 10:30 you have nothing to do. 3. The pools close at 7pm even the adult pool. Pros: 1. The staff was great and very friendly. 2. I thought the food was great and the have different theme nights at the buffet. 3. The activities at the pool during the day and at night. 4. It plenty of beach loungers and beach beds. Tips: 1. Run the shower for about 20 minutes before getting in if you want hot water. You might have to make a call to the office I think the water is in some sort of breaker which is the reason it keep cutting off. 2. There is nowhere to hang wet towels inside so bring a few stick on hooks. 3. When you set your reservation make all of them while you're there. They may only let you do 3 which is fine go back after 3 it seems as though people cancel all the time. 4. The best drinks is at the beach bar on VIP Beach. 5. The real liquor is at the casino ( name brand it's free). 6. Ok the casino only have 10 slots but it's somewhere to hang after 10:30 and get good liquor. I think they should add a few pool tables and darts since it not a real casino. 7. If you want the people to not keep coming to you about the spa package tell them you don't like people touching you then it's done. 8. Bring cards to play at the other bars at night when it nothing to do. 9. Ask all the shuttles and golf cart staff I the can take you wherever so you won't stand around waiting on the one. 10. Tip my sis-in -law and myself tipped a $1 each for our room and every day it was clean. When we go eat we tipped $1 or $2 each and they made sure to look for us to sit us. My point is you get way better service and a $1 or $2 go a long way. 11. I added pictures of activities they had when we was there.

Our bad experience started at the airport, we had booked to have a limo pick up, which was confirmed by Lifestyle, after waiting over one hour in the hot sun, we were told we would have to get a taxi! $120 later we arrived at the resort! We were guests of a family member, they had a room at the "Presidential suites" the room had broken tiles on the floor, worn out furniture, lights that did not work, broken ice maker, broken coffee machine, and much more!! The resort boasts 18 restaurants, but during our stay, only one or two were open for dinner each evening! They class these as "al a carte", but can best be described as very very average to poor, you would get better quality food, and choice in a fast food restaurant! Because we were guests of the member, we were not allowed to go to certain beaches & restaurants, there is only one ice cream shop at Harmony beach, but guess what we were denied access to this location!! there was a nice looking coffee shop, but yes, were were again denied entry!! We knew we were going to get the "hard sell" at this resort, but when I went to the men's bathroom at the main office (called the tower!) I was shocked to discover there was a video showing all the "best" amenities of this resort embedded in the urinal!! (pic attached) In summary, save your money, I aim sure there are other resorts in the Dominican Republic that are of a high standard!

this has been the worst resort i have ever been to. The beds were broken , my room phone did not work , my air conditioner did not work it felt like i was sleeping in a boiler room. i woke up the next morning like i came out of a pool. The people dont treat there customers with care when customers have peoblems they havdle it when they feel like it. I had to stay there for seven days and i couldnt i had to cut the trip short and leave five days earlier then expected. I personally do not recommend this place to anyone and there kids. Waste of me and my family's time and money.

we felt sick and experienced stomach flu from the horrible food selection. The room was filthy. We had dirty sheets every single day of this trip. Although we requested housekeeping every morning, the conditions of our sheets and towels were below satisfactory. The fan was spreading dust and debris over the room so we couldn't use it. We used the second method of air conditioning and it left the room moist and damp which meant our hung towels and clothing never had the chance to fully dry. On the last day, we noticed mildew on our pants, likely caused by the moist environment. At one point, the water stopped working and we had to run all the way to the front desk for them to repair it. They said it would be urgently fixed but we did not have running water until late the next day. Nevertheless, I would urge you to spend the extra money and go to a different hotel.

This place is an absolute joke and a waste of money. This was our first and last time coming to a lifestyle resort. We were put in the back of the resort and dogs were barking what felt like non stop. Our room reeked of mildew. The beds are like sleeping on concrete. The toilet would randomly run and there was a pool of water on the ground each time we showered. We were constantly asking housekeeping for towels due to the leaky shower. The sliding glass door in our room was very hard to open and shut. We would get sales calls before 8 AM. If you’re not VIP be prepared to get treated like trash and you are very limited on where you can go especially at night. The sales staff from the cigar place, timeshare, and spa way too pushy. Once you walk out of the buffet the timeshare people are attack you and say they have a “welcome gift” for you. Then you’re taken to the “tower” and listen to a sales pitch. I kid you not the first night my boyfriend and I were harassed by 5 different people from the spa to buy their services. Then the following day on our way to breakfast we were greeted by a gentleman to go horse back riding. You have to make reservations at the restaurants otherwise your only option is the horrible buffet. The drinks aren’t strong. Oh and to the person who wrote a review on here about slipping down the steps from the shower at the VIP beach, those showers are still at the top of the steps. I guess they could care less about their guests. Never ever ever ever again.

I will preface by saying I did A TON of research, for about a month, before our trip. Booking via Groupon, reading every review on both Groupon and TripAdvisor, it is easy to wonder how there could be such night and day experiences for the same resort - some people said it was a nightmare, others said it was amazing. The polarity of experience concerned me but for the price ($250 for 4 nights) I was willing to take my chances. I'm so glad I didn't let the bad reviews sway me. I would have missed out on a beautiful property, friendly, hard-working staff, and a tropical paradise that gave us more than what we expected, and paid for. Because of my sleuthing, I went in knowing the common pitfalls of this place - the constants being the timeshare push, the reservations for restaurants, limitations of where you could go if not a member, clogged toilets, potential AC issues / power outages, leaky showers, etc. I equally took into account the suggestions to tip early, and often, understand this was NOT going to be 5-star, reserve early for restaurants, etc...we had NO problems with towels, AC (brrrr), one potty clog, quickly resolved - there's low water pressure guys, its an island, hot water in shower CAN be hit or miss, but it wasn't a deal breaker by far, and the leaking shower, wet floors - our room in building 6 had the same glass enclosure as everyone described and we had no problem. Leaving a daily $2 tip on the table assured plentiful towels, fresh flowers daily, towel art, the works. No bugs, no bed bugs, refilled fridge with waters, it was honestly much better than I expected. Check in and out was quick and easy. Yes the restaurant reservations are a bit of a pain to have to go there each day to make them, and not get any restaurant you want, but the buffet was plenty filling and delicious with many options - I just don't see what all the fuss was about. We had no issue getting a cabana each day, drinks were good once you found ones you like, they WILL make you off menu ones. Sushi place Zen was OK, I did want a burger from Liam's and was turned away. Moonlight was the best of the three restaurants we went to, did a nice birthday surprise for my boyfriend. Get the pizza at the corner bar on NV beach. My biggest disappointment was the Sunday night welcome party got cancelled for rainy forecast. Shuttles were full often, but everything is walkable if you aren't wearing heels. Timeshare pressure was minimal - just tell them you've been there before and attended the presentation already and aren't interested. Problem solved. We did off site excursions booked through D.S.R.R. - can't recommend them enough. Nightly shows including michael jackson tribute was entertaining. If you are on the fence - GO. Just GO. I was sad to leave and will be back. If you decide to go and want my notes / research - message me here, I'm more than happy to share my info so you don't have to comb through thousands of reviews on two sites like I did! GO WATCH YOUTUBE VIDEOS of actual people filming their experiences!

I’m so sorry to say that this is my first time at this resort and it was so disappointing! The 1st room we went to smelled like mold & it was so humid inside. 2nd rm smelled half better than the 1st but the same situation. No AC was in the 2nd rm. They moved us upstairs to a 3rd rm. No AC again. We finally got to a 4th rm across the resort & we had no hot water! They have phones in the rooms but they don’t answer to assist with any needs. So you find yourself having to go all the way to the front desk just to beg for help. SAVE YOUR TIME! No way ever again!

The resort has lots of food for eating if you like to eat. The rooms in the resort has plumbing that's possibly 30 years old or more. I didn't have hot water in the shower and my family members room had an old toilet that wouldn't flush. Everything is maintained, including the public bathrooms, except the rooms. I am posting photos of my room I stayed in. Be advised that they will be trying to get you to buy into the vacation club starting at around $23k.
