We stayed in the FouFou room which was clean and had plenty of room to spread out for a few days. The bathroom was nicely designed and decorated and the hot water worked well. I think some rooms have their bathrooms accessible only across the porch, so you may want to ask if that's important to you. The rooms have...

We booked Cocoa Cottages for 4 nights and except for the dogs barking for a long time one night, the stay was wonderful. I agree with other reviewers. The room was clean and spacious. Loved the open feeling. Liz was great with the booking and very willing to help us plan our trip. The meals were great. Liz and Richard...

The room was great- felt very natural but still clean and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and offered a lot of local information. The home-made chocolate was delicious! Location is great- a walk from Trafalgar falls and very short drives to Laudat and Wotten Waven for hiking, bathing in hot pools etc.

After a bad experience in an other cottage we tried to change location and were advised to stay in Cocoa Cottage. It was a bit over our budget but we finally chose for it. We had a great stay for 2 nights, the hosts are really nice. They advised us how to organise our stay and helped us finding restaurants,...

Cocoa Cottages was absolutely the perfect place to stay in Dominica. My boyfriend and I went the for 5 days and we wanted somewhere that was in a good location but still felt somewhat remote, like we were really in the jungle. Liz was so helpful with the booking process to when we met her and gave us great options...

My husband and I loved our stay at Cocoa Cottages. Liz helped us plan excellent hikes. She even found a guide for us so that we could hike Boiling Lake. Richard plans canyoning trips that are perfect for all ages. The cottage was super comfortable. We loved the home-made soap. We also purchased some of the home-made chocolate. It made...

Stayed with Liz & Richard at Cocoa Cottages for 3 nights - not long enough! They are extremely knowledgeable about the area and give great tips about how best to spend your time. I had a private cottage at the end of the path and it was fantastic - so roomy, clean and cool! Trafalgar falls are within walking distance...

When we originally booked this cottage, I was worried about being so far from the downtown area of the Roseau. Once I saw the Cottages I was extremely happy with our choice! From the cottages, you are surrounded by the beauty and natural vegetation of the rainforest. It's a peaceful and relaxing oasis about halfway up a mountain that overlooks...

We booked a family room for ourselves and our teenagers, but when we arrived our hostess, LIz, had upgraded us to their "Treehouse" for no extra cost. It was better than we could have imagined. The Treehouse literally has no external walls, windows or doors, nor does it have mosquito screens. The beds all had mosquito nets, but it turned...

After having been away since 2008, I would not have been surprised to find that much had changed at Coco Cottages, but it is still the Heaven on Earth that I described after our last visit. The family style dining on delicious local food, the knowledgeable, experienced canyoning and hiking guides, the wonderfully friendly atmosphere that comes directly from the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Cocoa Cottage--Dominica Mind Body Adventure. Cocoa Cottage is an artistic guest house located in the heart of the Roseau Valley, only a few miles from town but worlds apart. This valley is home to many waterfalls, sulfur pools, rivers, and various trails, all within minutes' drive of the cottage. Cocoa Cottage is imaginative, earthy, rustic and whimsical, a fine gentle touch with rough edges. It is a perfect union of all that nature offers. Our kitchen provides food for the soul, using the plentiful offerings of our island. At any time you'll find yourself deep in lively conversation with someone you just met, connecting, sharing, inspiring and being inspired. We adopt eco- friendly daily practices as a way of connecting with ourselves, with one another, and with the world around us. ... more   less
