We visited the Avila Beach in late February of 2020 immediately before the pandemic and returned in May of 2021 for our 1st holiday since then. We have travelled to many countries and this was the 1st time that we revisited a hotel in more than 40 years. Why? First, the people of Curacao are amazing as they have so much pride in their country and welcome you to their island with a smile and a willingness to share their land with you. The children learn 4 languages (Spanish, Dutch, Papiamento and English, and many adults later add French); as a result, communication with tourists from many parts of the world is simplified making the transition to a new country very smooth. The Avila hotel, just like Curacao, took great pride in welcoming us and making sure our stay was incredible. We just finished a glorious 2 weeks at "Our home away from home"and each day the staff had our best interests in their hearts. We were asked daily how our stay was going and if they could do something extra for us. The Avila staff made us part of their family and made us feel special. All of the stresses of living in the USA during the pandemic were washed away by the Caribbean and the private beach at the Avila. We highly recommend staying in the Blues Wing as the rooms jet out into the Caribbean giving us the beautiful peaceful sounds of the waves crashing into the rocks, as well as amazing sunsets. Our buffet breakfast was included in our price and was delicious. The employees at the Avila are mostly locals and therefore a tremendous source of knowledge regarding the island, its customs, and where to visit. The Avila is a short 15 minute walk into Willemstad, a walk filled with restaurants and homes built in every color of the spectrum. Have your cellphones ready for pictures! The entertainment at the Avila includes the best Blues in the Caribbean in the famous Blues Bar on Thursday evenings, romantic dinners on the beach, and local live music on the beach. Lastly and most importantly are the wonderful staff headed by the manager Farley and our favorite bartender Jerensky, as well as the 3 wonderful women who served breakfast and have worked at the Avila for a total of 73 years! Enjoy the experience of The Avila and Curacao and just like us you will have memories for a lifetime! Ami Ditzel and Mark Herman…

We stayed at the Avila Beach Hotel with our entire family to celebrate my mother's birthday. The newly built oceanfront apartment we got was amazing! Fully air conditioned, fully stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a balcony that featured the most amazing ocean view. We really enjoyed our stay at the Avila Beach Hotel and I can't wait to come back.
We had such a wonderfull stay in Avila Beach Hotel! We enjoyed every bit of it; the beach, the pool, the drinks, the food, the super friendly staff and the massages. Perect stay in corona times, as you don't have to leave the hotel to have a good time; it's all there :)
We stayed in the deluxe room and it was perfect . Beautiful Tropical garden and pool in front of our terrace. The whole place is beautiful and has a great vibe, the food is delicious. We stayed with our 5 year old son and he loved the beach where he could use the stand up paddle board from the hotel. Definitely a place to relax and unwind.
