Varadero is a beautiful place for share in family. I stayed in Dos Mares Hotel by a few days and my stay was good. The service is excellent, the beach is close to the hotel and the attention is very good. It is true that the hotel does not have the maximum conditions but it is quite economical and the...

I ended up in Dos Mares because unfortunately I didn't do proper research about Varadero's casa particular options. However, this hotel turned out to be okay, although I didn't expect much based on the reviews. It is a budget hotel and would really need some face lift, but the room was adequate. The things that bothered me a bit were...

We booked a casa particular for four nights which ended up being a nightmare so after the first night we ended up in this hotel for three remaining nights. I'd call it OK for sleep-over. Don't expect too much but it was sufficient for us. The rooms were spacious, everything was clean and that was all we wanted. Sure you'll...

Varadero can be a souless place along the 15 kms hotel strip outside of the town. Oh the beach is beautiful and people can be happy with a respite from winter but this is tourist Cuba. Hotel Dos Mares in in the town itself and there is lots of shopping and restaurants just a stroll away. It is frequented by...

A basic hotel, that could need some TLC, but only 1 min. to the nice beach and close to everything. Liked the fact that it was away from all the big hotels and more quiet on the beach. Breakfast was average.

Stayed here for two nights in mid jan (am on gardening leave at the moment....). This is not a nice hotel. The rooms are tiny, not cleaned properly and rarely swept. I walked in the room in my bare feet and they were filthy after a few minutes. The hotel was built in the 1930s apparently and it looks like...

We booked the hotel via a travel agency. But it was a mistake. The room was very poor, the toilet did not even have a seat. The corridor and the room were mucky. So far every private room was better and much cheaper than this substandard hotel. The reception staff was unfriendly and the checkin-experience was like "don't bother us...

This wasn't a bad room at all. Decent amount of space. The bathroom was bigger than normal & I had hot water all the time. AC was the usual old & noisy box but to my surprise I had a new flat screen tv in my room. The staff is great. All the bar staff are great & the little...
