Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

They make you feel like home! Our Cuban experience started with some stress but Marina and Mae helped us out with everything. It is thank to them that we could enjoy our two weeks around the island. We laughed a lot with them and it was super funny. They will stay in our heart! The house is a lovely typical colonial one, 15 mins walking from Havana vieja and you can see the real Cuban life around there. Absolutely recommended!

Marina & Mae are the best hosts, they are lovely and they have the best recommendations for traveling around. They also have the best network for houses, cars and all the other things that you might need. The house is beautiful, clean and the rooms are big and with your own bathroom. The breakfast is amazingly fresh and big. The neighborhood is very walkable to the downtown and the food options that are around are authentic, cheap and delicious.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like friends and invited to a cold beer or rum and fruit juice for the children. Great advice on where to go and what to see. Love the patio ..! We would go back tomorrow (if possible)

Thanks to Marina y Mae our 4 days in Havana felt like staying at home with family! Great breakfast with homemade jam to get ready for the day. Marina and Mae were extremely helpful and had lots of ideas for our stay in Havana, including perfectly organising our trip to Vinales and the airport. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable, even have an aircon (we didn't use in November though). We definitely recommend this colonial house if you want to stay at a very friendly Cuban family in authentic Centro Havana! CASA Marina and Mae is a very special place, we enjoyed our stay a lot and cannot wait to come back!

It was one of the best guesthouse I've ever visited. I really recommend this place! It was much better than the 'all included' Barcelo Solymar Arenas blancas resort in varadero. Marina and Mae were really nice to give us all the information about what we could eat, see, and the average prices such as taxi to not be scammed. Other thing I liked about this place was the location. We could walk to the hotel national de cuba, plaza de la revolucion, and it took about 5~10 minutes in taxi to calle obispo and other things around. They introduce us a taxi that could take us to Trinidad and the last day to the airport in a fair price. The breakfast was really nice and the rooms were really clean. Our room had private bathroom It was lucky that I could speak spanish as my second language so it was easy to communicate with cuban people but still sometimes it was difficult to understand cuban spanish accent and they talked too fast. LOL I believe the only way to contact her is by email.

Very nice guesthouse and very nice people. Breakfast is very good. Great location to explore the city. The room was big and I had my own bathroom. Since I don't speak Spanish the conversation was a little bit hard, because they don't speak English.
