Got this hostel recommended by two independent friends who had stayed there. The place is well located in the center of Havana but the air conditioned room was not noisy. Jesus and Maria is a lovely old Spanish speaking couple and most evenings I returned Maria were made next level decorations of cookies.

A very comfortable, clean and cheerful location, with lots of space, good food and pleasant hosts and staff. One large breakfast terrace, another small one further up and we had our very with our room. Walking distance from everything in Old Havana, a deal bonus. And though that area of town needs love, we always felt safe. Just a great address!!! We would go back anytime.

Although neighbourhood is not the premium it is still safe to walk around south Vieja. It is 5’ walk to Plaza Vieja and many restaurants. Breakfast was fresh and very delicious. Minus point for no windows at the bottom floor. Strongly recommend making a reservation for the one at the second floor. In general very good stay at that Casa

I think the title of my review says it all really but anyway. We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our 4 week trip to Cuba. The rooms are spacious and clean, the street is quiet, the location is excellent and the roof terrace is like an Oasis from the mayhem that is old Havava. The breakfast is also very good and the owners are very nice and helpful. The price is also very reasonable for Havana compared to similar accommodation. Everything you need really. A complete contrast to the first Casa we stayed in on our arrival to Cuba/Havana which was none of the above.

This is one the best hotels I've ever been in. Me, my husband and 2 children we stayed there everything was really comfortable great service. Maria she was really kind all the time she was after us to see if we needed anything so that our experience would be the better. Really clean rooms no complains at all. Since we got there we felt the good vibes they made us feel just as if we were part of Havana I really recommend this hotel they all do their best to make yourself at home. Thank you for everything guys! We'll see you soon

When we arrived late in the evening, the 4 bed room that we reserved months in advance was not available. Maria said that she thought that two of us were small children (which didn't really make sense as there were no beds available for children neither) Without any explanation Maria started calling around. She proposed that our group should split: 2 people could sleep at a neighbouring casa. From the reaction of the other casa, we understood that this was not the first time that Maria is guiding clients last minute to there. We also understood that the other casa had to pay a commission to Maria and Jesus for sending clients to her. Probably just like the expensive taxi from the airport that Maria arranged for us. Maria said that for the following night, she would arrange stuff such that we could sleep together at her casa. Sleeping at different places made it somewhat difficult to meet with the whole group. We finished our delicious, though expensive breakfast at the beautiful terrace of Maria and Jesus. When we asked Maria for the room, she explained that we could switch rooms with 2 other people who occupied a 4 bed bedroom. One of the guys was already out and we didn't manage to meet him. Maria proposed to take another room at her place. Again we ended up separated, but at least we were already sleeping in the same casa. The payment the day after was a big shock. The rooms were expensive and Maria didn't want to compensate for the errors she made. It was clear that Maria was experienced in this kind of situations, we could recognize several stages in her fraud: - First she started to blame us: as we accepted her solution, it was us being responsible for not having slept in only one room. - Second her daughter passed by to hear what was going on. Of course she shared her mother's opinion that we had to pay for everything. - In a last phase the daughter starts calling people, we understood that it was time to leave. Because of Maria's mistake she rented a room more to us and received commission from another casa. In contrast we didn't get any compensation while we expected to pay only for 1 room per night and maybe even get some breakfasts for free. We also had a reservation for our final night in Cuba at this place, which we immediately cancelled after this experience. We were very sad when we left this place. The nice, clean room and delicious breakfast was totally forgotten after the way we were treated.

Great rooms, clean, nice people, good location, highly recommended. Would stay here again. Breakfast was decent. We arrived late at night with no reservation, Jesus and Maria were very nice about this and found us a room in another casa. We returned the next day and stayed in their place for two nights.

There were 5 of us in 3 different rooms at Casa Jesus and Maria. They are great hosts and gave us great tips and helped us booked modern taxi collectivos to Vinales. One in our group got sick and Maria was great at looking after her until she recovered. We will definitely stay here again. She is best contacted via telephone as her internet gets cut off by the State sometimes. Very safe location well off the tourist trail of Obispo. Enjoy.
