When I'd booked this casa I was under the impression that it was located in the Old Town, although I wondered why I could not find the address on the regular map (it seems that Hotels.com have now changed the map location and description). When the taxi dropped us, I was obviously disappointed to find myself so far from where I'd expected to be. It is almost a 30 minutes walk to the Plaza Vieja, partially through unlit, derelict streets. Bici drivers will try to scam you for CUC10-20 for this ride, be firm and you shouldn't pay more than CUC5, even at night. The room was another disappointment, not what we had expected from the description - the stuccoed ceiling was nice though. The room was very small, the mattress was totally worn out, the bathroom was tiny and required some acrobatics to get in and out of the shower, but there was always hot water. Oh, we had a balcony, wow! It was a tiny space between the house and the surrounding wall, like a cell! There seems to be something like a carpentry workshop in the same building, and the noise started from early morning until evening. There is simple dining room of sorts, and for breakfast they offered a basic one for CUC3 or a buffet for CUC5. Well, the buffet is of course no such thing, it is the normal breakfast that every casa offers for a similar price: juice, coffee, fruit, some bread and jam. The promised Wifi only worked on the balcony at the front of the house where it picked up the signal from the nearby park. There are some common rooms beautifully furnished with antiques, but far too stuffy for anyone to ever use them. The staff were mostly distant and not very friendly, apart from one young lady. We stayed in eight different casas and B&Bs during our three weeks in Cuba, and this was the only one that really disappointed.…
I was traveling with my partner and had booked the "standard triple room", but was given the "double room with patio" without any notice. As others were already in my intended room, I didn't mention it due to not wanting to disrupt the unpacked guests and I couldn't check my reservation until back home due to lack of internet. Regardless, the room was clean and had only a minor plumbing issue. The staff was friendly and bilingual. The location was walking distance to many great attractions and the breakfast, for an additional fee, was delicious.
In the middle of Centro Havana and a short walk from Havana Vieja. Clean place on the first floor. Our room had a terrace and was spacious. Internet available, but you need the Etecsa card. Breakfast is additional, but the buffet has fresh juice, fruits and egg. Very helpful staff. And we partied together with them on 31 December. Price - quality it is a very interesting option. We come back.
If you want to stay in Colonial house in Havana, be central, close to Old Havana, just walking distance, quiet place, friendly people then this is the address to book for your stay. I am staying every year in this casa with my group and enjoy very much every year to be there
Me and husband really enjoyed our stay in Casa Arian. It was a start of our honrymoon and we loved how close the casa was to havana town ;) But you could also see the real Havana just around you . All the staff were really friendly and helfpul . We will be back !;))
We really appreciated a lot the stay in Casa Arian. We were a Family of 5 people and found very comfortable rooms and strategic position to visit the Avana city. I recommend Casa Arian because of the very good ratio between quality and cost. Also breakfast was very good.
Casa Arian is a great little place. The staff are very sweet & friendly, the casa is super clean and has lots of character. Arian is full of information and is great at arranging everything you need. ✨✨✨
I stayed several times at casa Arian, the rooms are nicely decorated, small quiet street, walking distance to old havana. Arian can organize all you need and give a lot of tips about Havana. Highly recommended.
We had a great time in this casa, also the second time. They are all very kind and helpful, if we needed something. The location is perfect, very near to all the importend sightseeing spots. The rooms are clean and comfy. For sure we will come a third time.
I stayed at the Ariane in June-July 2016 for two weeks. I would like to say a big thank you for the hospitality and assistance in my first visit to Havana. The apartment itself is very good. For any questions you can always seek and get help. Thanks again for a good rest.Andrey from Russia St.Petersburg
