Only one negative and that is, as others have mentioned, not good for people with mobility issues or dodgy knees. LOTS of stairs. And if you're an internet junky, 5 star or nothing and even that isn't guaranteed. My friend and I arrived late at night and were met at the door by a friendly chap who, thankfully, carried our...

My wife, daugher and I planned a somewhat last minute trip to Havana and, through a great stroke of luck, were given the details of Casa Vitrales by a friend. We are forever grateful... to that friend and to Casa Vitrales. Havana is a wonderful, loud, colorful, chaotic city. We enjoyed every minute of it BUT were very happy to...

We stayed 10 nights in Casa Vitrales and consider ourselves so lucky to have stayed here. Our room was spacious, quiet, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast each morning on the roof terrace with the best coffee in Havana. The staff were very friendly and special mention to the manager, Gustavo, who made our stay so special...

We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of our 3 weeks in Cuba and two nights at the end. Although the owners do not speak English they employ two English speaking managers. Both are very friendly and the more senior one was extremely helpful in booking taxis and restaurants. It is extremely comfortable, very good breakfasts and an...

Really central and convenient, super friendly family run place, breakfast on the rooftop terrace was definitely a highlight. The cheeky cheap cold beers in the fridge in the room were quite a treat too. Only downside is they forgot to pick us up from the airport, apparently the guy was 'in moscow'... :-). We managed to get a cab anyway,...

We spent 3 nights here whilst we toured Cuba, excellent location in the old town of Havana. We were warmly welcomed by Gustav and his family. We had a lovely room, spacious and cool, with a large 4 poster style bed. The bathroom was well fitted and had a good shower. The breakfast was excellent and served on the lovely...

Our stay in the delightful Casa Vitrales was central to our total enjoyment of experiencing 'Old Havana City'. We stayed two nights. We experienced the charms of the family. Papa, & his sons, couldn't have been more hospitable. The home has a beautiful brightly coloured façade, Room was charming & very clean, the delicious breakfasts (included) on the rooftop restaurant,...

We stayed in Havana for 3 nights and this place certainly fulfilled our needs. We arrived late at night ( about 11pm) but this was no issue. A man acting as night porter met us and carried our heavy cases upstairs for us. This was a godsend because the stairs were steep and quite narrow. Not really suitable for disabled/...

The best home in Havana. Courtesy and cleanliness are the key words. Meticulous attention to detail, vintage decor with great taste. Large room, nice and spacious with high ceilings. Rooftop where breakfast is served, simply excellent! Perfect stay in a beautiful home. Super recommended!

This was our last night in Cuba, and getting there late was a shame. Flew in from Santiago de Cuba to find a really cool reconstruction over eight years. We had the big room next to the kitchen in the back. That is the nicest one with very high ceiling and nicely redone bathroom. The roof was a great place...
