Federico was nice enough to pick us up from another casa particular as it was a last minute check in and luckily he was available. Him and his wife Yanet were very friendly and offered us great tips. Castropol restaurant was great! El Malecon and Paseo del Prado are feet away. Many other sites are also very nearby. Breakfast was amazing and we are thankful that Yanet woke up so early to make it for us after a long night celebrating her husband's birthday, their hospitality and professionalism was definitely obvious.Thank you again! We will be back. Susan and Ian.

First of all, if you're sensitive to noise this casa is definitely not for you. Well, most casas in Cuba can be quite noisy, but this one is on another level. I couldn't get a good night's sleep during our 3-night stay due to the extremely noisy street. But I am giving this casa a 2-star because of the owners. We booked our room for 4 nights 2 days before our arrival via our casa owner in Vinales. When we arrived at this casa Federico told us that the room was available for only 3 nights as another tourist group booked both rooms at the apartment. We were clearly lied to and when we asked why he confirmed our booking for 4 nights in the first place, Federico got defensive and claimed that he didn't confirm it although our casa owner in Vinales called him in front of us. He told us that he would find us another casa - which means we had to change casa just for 1 night on our last day in Havana. After this unpleasantry both Federico's and especially Yanet's attitude towards us was cold and distant. We felt quite uncomfortable there. 2 star just because of the good location. There are tons of better and cheaper casas in Havana (this one costs 35 CUC / night). Definitely not recommended.

First of all, thank you very much for taking the time to write your comment and letting us know how you felt. Although previous guests have never told us of having felt treated like that, We assure you that we will take your opinion into account. We are proud of the service we offer, the quality of our facilities and the warm treatment we provide to each of our guests, even if they are complicated. You got our phones and the address thanks to some guests who were in our house and who recommended us strongly, as yourself told us. When Ana Iris, your host in Viñales, called us asking about our availability, we answered that we only had 3 nights available, but that we could find for your last night another room with the same conditions and price than ours just a few meters away. We never omit any information, we are characterized by professionalism and honesty in our business, and by the kind treatment of our guests. To the point, that once you arrive in our house, that was the first information we gave you and Federico even gave to your husband Hazal the opportunity to find a place for the entire 4 night in another house with the same conditions and price, even when you have already used our room and bathroom. Your husband came inside the room to talk to you and later you went out together and did not mention anything about it. Options, as I have just clarified, we gave you several if you did not like to move from our home on your last night. We always respect and value the opinion of each of our guests. Old Havana in general is noisy, we are located on Prado, the main street of the city. From a city that never sleeps, and you were staying at home Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On weekends there are parties, music and people dance on almost every corner, but that is what most of our visitors like: the perfect location of our house, very close to everything. In the main street Prado the people dance, they make parades, and they give samples of Brazilian martial art, coverall until the midnight. That's why, thinking of our guests, that each of the windows in the room (three in total), is covered by thick glass that reduces sound. Honestly, we are very surprised by your comment because during your stay you did not show any signs of being uncomfortable, I even remember that we talked on several occasions daily, during your breakfast and each night before you went to sleep. Your last day, the host of your next house came to help you with the luggage, as you had request from the first day. We reiterated at that time that we regretted that you had to move because we had loved receiving you both in our house and we told you that we were going to be neighbors, that if tyou needed anything, you could visit us without a doubt. The house we found for you made you a cheaper offer, and we told you that this was due to the inconvenience of the move. Again, we are very surprised by your attitude. Yanet y Federico

The room is OK. The location is very good. All you may need is in the nearby vicinity (mercado, ETECSA sale point, Museo de la Revolucion, Parque Central, El Malecon, paladares and other restaurants... and so on). But people are the ones that make the difference between a convenient stay and a great experience. This is why I could not say more than this: choose Federico y Yanet! Apart from their room's amenities, you'll be delighted by two of the most friendly and special people we met during our trip in Cuba. Thanks for all, Federico y Yanet!

Vista al Prado was the perfect start to our holiday in Cuba! Federico and Yanet were very welcoming and organized us a taxi from the airport to the accommodation. We had a comfortable and clean room with en-suite bathroom but also had the chance to get to know our hosts as lounge and balcony were shared and they were both very helpful in providing us tips on where to go and also helped us organizing our onward journey. A delicious, freshly cooked breakfast was also available for a fair price. Location is top between old and central Havana.

Thank you for your beautiful words about the friendly and wonderful service you received, the conditions of your room, the fresh breakfast we offer and our airport pick-up service. We love knowing that you felt welcome and comfortable, that is very important for us. We are always willing to help our guests in whatever they need and to guide them during their stay. As reflected in your comment, our house is located in Old Havana, on the same boundary between Old Havana and Centro Habana, on the same avenue of Prado (which you could observe from our balcony), the main street of the city, a few minutes walk from the principal tourist attractions of the city. Thank you very much for choosing us, it was a pleasure having you at home with us and we hope to have you as guests again! All the best Federico Llanes

When planning our second trip to Cuba, flying in and out of Havana we decided to once again start and finish our trip staying with Federico and Yanet. The apartment and room was as nice as we remembered and they were just as welcoming so it felt like coming home after our long flight! Federico particularly remembered my partner who has distinctive long dark hair (think Ozzy) and greeted us as old friends with a beer. They made us feel very at home during our stay, happy to chat or share a drink. Yanet does a great job running the business and they both provide a fab breakfast. Federico even drove us back to the airport at the end. Hopefully we will get to go back for a third visit sometime in the future!

My wife and I stayed with Federico and Yanet for 4 days last week, and it was excellent! First, the location is fantastic, just 1 block from both the Malecon and the Prado, and a short 15 minute walk to Hotel Inglaterra and Havana Vieja. The actual place is great, as well, with excellent AC and spacious bedrooms. Yanet and Federico themselves are incredibly gracious hosts. They prepared a lovely breakfast for us each morning for 5 CUC each, and gave us plenty of tips on where to exchange money, where to eat, etc. Federico offered us help with finding tours, but we had already booked ours. The most glowing thing I can say about them: we arrived late Saturday evening after banks had closed, and had no Cuban money (long story). Yanet loaned us 50 CUC to spend until we could exchange our USD. Truly hospitable! Only minor quibble: hot water did not work 2 days, although we never informed them of this. Highly recommended.

The location could not have been any better - right on the beautiful Prado, and so close to the Malecon! Federico and Janet's home was spotless and they both were so helpful and welcoming, it felt like we were staying with family! Will definitely stay with them again, and recommend them to all our friends. Ask them to do breakfast for you, it's delicious. And don't hesitate to ask their advice on what to see or where to go. Our Cuba travel experience was so much richer for having stayed with Federico and Janet - instead of a bland hotel room and uncaring staff, we were welcomed in to their home and made to feel like we were family from day one. They went to great lengths to ensure we were enjoying ourselves, not just in their home, but also enjoying La Habana as well. Federico shared great tips on how to get value for money when shopping and when dealing with people on the street. We can't wait to return to La Habana and stay with them again!

My husband and I recently ended our one month cycling trip to Cuba with a 2 night stay at Vista al Prado. It was without question the worst of many wonderful casa stays in Cuba. We were greeted by the keys to the casa landing at our feet on the sidewalk. They were thrown from the apartment 4 flights above. Noone came to help us lug our bags up the narrow winding staircase. Nor did they help us down with our bags at departure (quite unlike any other casa stay). The reception for 2 full days was cool, unfriendly and unwelcoming. Our presence in the only communal living area was discouraged by both Frederico and his partner who buried herself behind her computer. Although our Spanish is minimal we hadn't experienced a problem at any other casa in Cuba. We managed to communicate. The beds were saggy and uncomfortable, the room noisy and the water pressure and temperature poor. We would not recommend this casa to anyone.

We've been with Yanet and Federico for 4 nights and we enjoyed it very much. They were the best hosts during our 4-weeks journey. Everything is very clean and the breakfast is excellent. The location is directly in the centre of the city. The room costs 35 CUC per night plus 5 CUC per person for the breakfast. Both of them are speaking english very well. They organized us everything we needed and gave us excellent recommendations without being pushy. They offered us their help if we had any problems during our holidays in cuba, what made us feeling very comfortable and safe. When we contacted them they answered us always really fast and tried their best to help us. Thank you so much, Yanet and Federico, we really enjoyed the time with you!!
