Vincente and his entire family welcome you with open arms at this Casa. The food is the best we had in Cuba, particularly the lobster! The location is ideal, we felt safe and at home, the facilities perfect and the wifi very handy, and the experience is priceless. Vincente listened to what we were interested in and was able to arrange transport and book Casa Particulars in all other locations we wished to stay in Cuba, which were all wonderful. When we come back to Cuba, there is no other place we would stay. Thank you so much Alina, Vincente and Armando!

My girlfriend and me chose this casa for our 5 night stay in Havana after reading a few reviews on TripAdvisor and booking. What I can say is that it's more than any traveler visiting Havana for the first time should need. It is 100 meters from famous Malecon, and a 15 min. walk from the Havana vieja. The rooms are basic with beds, toilet and air-conditioning, while the house is nice with a lot of interesting details, especially the wooden furniture, but our special praise and thanks goes to our hosts, mr. Vicente, mrs. Alina, Armando and the entire family, who welcomed us to their home, gave us advice on how to get around on cuba, and helped us with whatever we needed during our sta,. The breakfast every day was enough to keep us on our feet during entire days of exploring Havana and totally worth the price of 5 cuc/person.

This is a lovely Casa in a great location not far from the Malecon. Vincente was an excellent host and looked after me and my travelling companion Chris in October 2017 after we had no luck with another Casa that we had intended to stay at. The house had that rustic cuban charm with lots of interesting furnishings and decoration. The room was basic however it was comfortable and air conditioned. We felt right at home in this Casa, and had a great time sharing a few vodkas, a cigar and a great chat with Vincente one evening. We had a super early departure on our final day and Vincente kindly arranged a car to take us to the airport and got up to see us off at about 4am I was rather surprised to see the negative reviews on this website, as this did not match with our great experience. I would be happy to recommend this Casa.

My friend and I traveled to Cuba for a week and decided to only book the first night of our stay ahead of time. Landing at the Casa Colonial with Vicente was the perfect first stop. He took the time when we arrived to tell us about being a tourist in Cuba then asked us about our future travel. We wanted to go to Cienfuegos and Trinidad and he arranged our taxi and made some phone calls so we would have places to stay in each of those cities. We ended up not staying in Cienfuegos but the house he directed us to in Trinidad was great. When we wanted to buy Cigars he helped us do so and answered any questions we may have had about Cuba. We had breakfast and dinner there and they fed us like kings. So much food that we felt bad we couldn't eat it all. Definitely worth the 10CUC for the dinner and the 5CUC for breakfast. We definitely lucked out with this house. Would definitely come back if we ever return to Cuba.

Vicente, the house owner, was not that kind. He told us he would call us the cab to the airport and the cab never showed up. The rooms were never cleaned while we were there. The breakfast was average, not that many choices actually. 25 cuc per night per room plus 5 cuc each person for the breakfast. I would not recommend it

Beautiful cosy casa particular full of antiques and Cuban charm. Had lavish breakfasts in the sumptuous dining room (10 Cuc pp ) as well as a lavish 3 course dinner with grilled lobster (15 Cuc - cocktails and beer extra. ) Luis and the staff are attentive and helpful hosts. Luis speaks perfect English, and had some useful tips. He also helped us by booking taxis to and from the airport- both beautifully restored early 1950s Chevs. (30 Cuc ).

We stayed a total of 5 nights (2 + 2 +1), and it always felt like coming home on our return. Vicente is a genourous host, speaks good English and we had many fun and interesting conversations. Breakfast and food were excellent, and my vegan daughter was cared for very well. Thanks also for inviting us to your new year party with family and friends which we enjoyed a lot despite our very limited Spanish! The location is ideal for exploring Havana, just one block from the Malecon and in walking distance to most attractions

We spent 3 nights at the very well kept and nicely decorated casa. Everything is clean and working. The breakfast is great and the dinner is extraordinary. The hosts are very warm and nice people, you walk in and you are part of the family. The street were the casa is may not be inviting, but what can they do about it? Nothing, that`s Havanna...We highly recommend this casa. Thanks Alina and Vincente for the great time we had at your place :)

To be honest we did not even stayed at Alina's. We booked, we paid and once we got there (1am after a 10h flight) they just sent us to another casa particular because they did overbooking. The new casa particular was really old, no windows, completely different from what we have booked for. When we went back to Alina and Vicente we found out that they regularly do overbooking and that many other people have complained for that. They also lied to us about a problem with water (that was obviously not true as all the rooms were occupied). My advice: DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! they are not people you can trust.
