We cut short our stay from 3 nights to 2 as we were so uncomfortable. Although other rooms may be better in this prettily decorated casa, ours was directly above the café at the front - noisy, hot, and awkward to access via the café. The bathroom was terrible - door fallen to bits, poor water supply for the shower...

Londonroadhog We are so very sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience at our Casa. As you can see from our other reviews we have NEVER received anything lower than 4 stars and the room you stayed in is one of our most popular and most recently redecorated. During the mornings the Cafe and street get busy, but that all...

This house was nothing short of home for two weeks! Mary, Miguel and the rest of the family are the most welcoming, kind and extraordinary people! Most of the time you don't even have to ask and they make things happen for you! Returning to them is not an if, simply a when!!!

We stayed one night and we regret this was only one night. Our room was tastefully decorated (an Underwood typewriter, carefully chosen porcelain figurines, wooden furniture, mirrors, beautiful lamps), the bed was just wonderful - wide and comfy. The flush in the toilet did not work properly but we were told about that beforehand. Also the water pressure under the...

A comfortable casa at a perfect location in the city. All the attractions in walking distance. Mary, Miguel, their 2 sons, Mary's mother and other staff are very kind and helpful. Ask for a room at the back, as the one in front can be noisy. Although the rooms are very comfortable (we stayed in two different rooms), water is...

We spent five nights at Casa Mary y Miguel. Our hosts Mary y Miguel and their son Joel were friendly and helpful. The location is great. It was a short walk to the malecon, Centro and slightly longer walk to Vieja. The Casa was clean and comfortable with a very modern, private bathroom. The evening meal was delicious, the drinks...

Miguel made this stay what it was for us. He is the loveliest chap. Doesn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish but we made it work. He arranged us for his friend who has an amazing old taxi to take us down to Trinidad and greeted us like an old friend when we returned. The room was fine -...

We stayed with Mary and Miguel for 7 nights while in Havana and absolutely couldn't have been happier. Our room was cheap, clean, comfortable and air conditioned. Walking distance to both Havana vieja and vedado, was a confronting looking neighbourhood when we first got there but it's absolutely safe as houses, walk around the streets at midnight, do whatever.

Casa Mary y Miguel with its attached bar is one of the best casas we experienced in Habana. Miguel and his son that speaks perfect english were really helpful and managed to solve some issues we had in a really fair and polite way. The food and service in a nicely furnished in the bar is excellent. Would definitely recommend....

We stayed at this lvoely casa at the beginning and end of our Cuba trip and it was one of the best places we stayed in Cuba. Not only is the location really really handy (a few minutes away from centro habana), the owners and place were amazing. Our room was very clean, lovely decorated and had everything you need....

General review: Mary, Miguel and their family are such lovely people! They are incredibly friendly, helpful and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in their casa. It is located in a vibrant part of the city close to the major attractions. The whole house reminded us of a museum full of authentic and eclectic artefacts creating a stunning interior. The...
