The hotel has been redecorating while closed during the pandemic. We were happy to spend 4 nights during January, the breakfast was excellent (now served at table instead of buffet), and as always the outdoor porch was also available for coffee/lunch etc. during the day. We like the friendliness, the open-air layout of the carpeta and the first floor, as well as the well equipped room--T.V, air conditioner (not needed much in January), good bathroom, even an iron and ironing board. Room security is good, and lighting is also good. Thank-you to the entire staff, especially the manageress who helped us, Iris and the other room attendants, the maintenance man, and also Jose Miguel. We hope to stay here again...hasta la proxima!
I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Paseo Habana, if was clean, the staff very friendly and the atmosphere was fantastic. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well (a little noisy) alas the bathroom, (all the bathrooms or all my fellow travellers) had some issues, intermittent and uncontrollable hot water, but all in all it was a good stay and everyone left happy. The hotel is in a lovely neighbourhood with some very nice little restaurants, bars and nightclubs all quite busy.
It's a little rough around the edges but I would certainly stay here again. Very comfy bed and a great night's sleep. AC worked fine, although in January we didn't use it much, and no shortage of electricity or hot water. Breakfast was good, with excellent coffee. Was pleased to find the bar open when we arrived and enjoyed sitting out on the terrace most evenings. The staff are great - really helpful and friendly with good advice for the local area and trips further afield. The surrounding area is mostly grand old colonial buildings and fun to wander around.
A good option. Internet works well and is strong. The staff is really the stand out part of the hotel- helpful, attentive, will fix any issue, and very friendly. AC in rooms worked well. The rocking chairs on the porch are nice. Great location in Vedado and short walk to restaurants and the Malecon. Rooms are large with big wondows. Didn't see any bugs in the hotel. Menu and breakfast is limited.
I stay here almost every visit in Habana. Friendly team as always. It is not the best hotel in the world but clean, quiet and budget when compared with others. Very good location almost walking distance to central places
Having been to Cuba 5 times now, I've enjoyed Havana very much. Having stayed in various places, mostly hotels, the Hotel Sercotel Paseo Habana, in Havana, Cuba was a very comfortable choice, It was a change to stay in a unique smaller hotel, around a residential area. As an artist/art instructor from Canada, my visual senses allure me first, always a colourful experience. It was cozy, with a friendly staff, that made me feel at home, especially when they politely greet you by name, and have the courtesy to ask, "how am I enjoying my stay so far". This smaller size hotel is close to most places in the Havana area you'd want to see and explore. They management were eager to give me information that I was seeking and more, to let me know what fave restaurants to shops I might want to visit. The room was spacious enough, and I had a good night's rest, without any noise distractions. Having been my 4th trip, I have prior stayed at different places. I recommend Hotel Sercotel, for it's good location, to the feeling of being in a home, and not a busy large hotel. Also price wise, relating to what they offer, it was well kept, clean and it was not an expensive hotel, thus I could spend money on finer restaurants and entertainment, to taking a taxi out of the city 25 minutes away to a very good beach. …
I was staying nearby in a private apartment and coming to Paseo for internet ($2/hr) but discovered an exceptional bargain rate for off-off season ($24/night, breakfast included) and moved over for my last week. I couldn’t be happier with that choice. Yes the power goes off, and the water, but this is Cuba! The staff was friendly, helpful and always ready to assist. The Buffet Breakfast was generous and varied. The hotel was clean, air conditioned, in a great location and everything I could have wanted. I will stay here again.
You had a nice experience, since the hotel is well located, with professional and attentive workers, rooms with a good hygiene, has portal to connect in the wifi. It is located in the center of the city.
The room we stayed in should clearly be marked for maintenance. - One of the windows did not close, so the staff placed a chair to stop it from opening (brilliant!); - The toilet was leaking; - And the worse was the a/c which kept on making this loud noise throughout the night (something like a generator). Paint is coming off the walls, TV also did not work, safe box did not work, no light bulb in one of the night lamps, no hand towels. For what we paid (80 CUC) was really bad. Breakfast was basic.
The hotel looks very nice with rocking chairs in the portal. BUT: there was no water when we arrived un the afternoon and no water after 22:30. I had to go down in the middle of the night for them to put on the watermotor. The room had everything broken: the save, the telefon, the toilet and the shower did not function properly. The toiletpaper was of so poor quality it was need more than a role per day. The door had no lock, there was a lack of towels, the door refrigerator did not close and it was ON! And we were paying almost 100 euros per night! We changed the rooms and it was the same.next morning we decided to make a great complain because It was a lack of respect. Here comes the only perfect thing: the personal very friendly and the receptionists ready to help and apologised for the water caos. Helpfully they gave us a hotel very near (Riviera) that was perfect by the way, and for the same price including the transfer with our suitcases. So, I send my respects for such a professional service. Many regards.…
