This hotel is located in a beautiful old building, but the inside is modern and lacks atmosphere. We stayed one night in a good, large room but it had a mouldy smell. The breakfast was a la carte and the best we had in Cuba. We had to ask to get our complimentary welcome drink at arrival. The complimentary city...

This is a very pricey hotel in the city centre. Therefore I would expect the hotel to have hot water. We only stayed one night, our final night of the trip. The room was comfortable and clean. The lobby are also has no roof with a tarpaulin cover. If it rains expect to get splashed whilst eating your breakfast. We...

Our room was spectacular. Large seating area, dining area, huge bed , showers and toilet and sink area all in glass partitions and a hug bath in the middle of a large room en route to the shower room. Amazing !! The downside was about 36 hours without hot water ! A hotel problem we think not Havana. Staff very...

When we booked the hotel we took the only 5star hotel left to book. The location could not be better. Pedestrian only and only a couple of blocks to Plaza Vieja. Our room was basic and tho clean t was not a room to hang around in. We had a pair of what looked to be original 18th century French...

This was our first hotel in a two week trip to Cuba and we were concerned having read the reviews which mentioned damp rooms. That's exactly what we found when we went to our room (402) - it smelled damp and musty. We moved room (206) and it was better, still not fresh but better. We thought we would have...

Our first three nights in Havana were in this hotel and we were disappointed. First night was in a room that had a damp smell and wet walls. We did manage to move to a better room for the next two nights. Lot of noise from the hotel machinery ( water pump I think that eventually broke down on the...

Average. We had a nice large rom with no view. Tepid hot water which was intermittent, ending in no water whatsoever on the morning that we departed for a long journey to our next accommodation. So we left without a shower or shave. Not good. No comment or apology by anyone on the staff was disappointing. We understood from our...

San Felipe hotel lobby Snack menu or restaurant menu the waiter brings both Had olives - was a lot, bruschetta nicely toasted and crunchy, and salad with bacon and egg with a beer and bottle of sparkling water CUC 17 between the two of us. Good service and in a wifi zone - a rare commodity in Havana

My expectation level was not high for this property, based upon recent reviews as well as the fact that this is Cuba and not yet South Beach. Mind you, I do not wish South Beach upon Cuba and consider myself very lucky to have experienced Cuba before any such transformation that full US, tourism may unleash. I say this, instead,...

We stayed here for 4 days over new year which is an expensive time to visit Cuba of course but still feel that this was very expensive for the quality on offer (approx £312 a night) but when we booked (back in September) there was very little available. Reasonably helpful front desk staff- they sorted us a taxi from Havana...
