San Felipe hotel lobby Snack menu or restaurant menu the waiter brings both Had olives - was a lot, bruschetta nicely toasted and crunchy, and salad with bacon and egg with a beer and bottle of sparkling water CUC 17 between the two of us. Good service and in a wifi zone - a rare commodity in Havana

My expectation level was not high for this property, based upon recent reviews as well as the fact that this is Cuba and not yet South Beach. Mind you, I do not wish South Beach upon Cuba and consider myself very lucky to have experienced Cuba before any such transformation that full US, tourism may unleash. I say this, instead,...

We stayed here for 4 days over new year which is an expensive time to visit Cuba of course but still feel that this was very expensive for the quality on offer (approx £312 a night) but when we booked (back in September) there was very little available. Reasonably helpful front desk staff- they sorted us a taxi from Havana...

If you visit Havanna you want to live in Old Havanna, that is where all the great architecture, museums and most of the tourist attractions are located (without getting crowded by tourists). The hotel is perfectly located on this nice square and walking distance to everything you would like to do in Havanna. The standard of the rooms was good...

We spent one night here and didn't really enjoy it as our room was so damp - it smelt damp when we walked in but when we went to get into bed, the bed linen and pillow actually felt damp too. The light in the bathroom didn't work either. It is in a great position and the rooms had nice...

Having stayed at the Iberostar Parc Central at the beginning of our stay in Havana we were pleasantly surprised by the facilities on offer in Cuba! The only hotel on offer for our last night was the Palacio Del Marquez de San Felipe, which looked quite impressive from the exterior! However the rooms were grim at best! We had a...

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel in old Havana with my young adult daughter for 4 nights and would return in a heartbeat. The hotel is charming and very comfortable. Our room had two beds and was spacious with a TV , great air conditioning and good light. The bathroom was modern and it looked newly renovated. Breakfast was...

The HOTEL HAS SHOWN SERIOUS FLAWS in BOTH STRUCTURAL and HOST: The welcome begins at 14:30 with a misunderstanding about the timetable of ceck in (in my voucher 14:30 Into the regulation of the hotel after 16:00) Nothing assistance: "You have to wait until the scheduled time. Maybe we give you the room at 15:30" We take the room number...

This hotel charges 5 star prices, but the hotel is not 5 star. In an excellent location on San Francisco Plaza in Old Havana, they serve an excellent breakfast and the staff were lovely. The rooms were damp and smelled a bit. The bar is part of the restaurant and the staff won't rush to serve anyone. The hotel doesn't...

Good accommodation and excellent food. Staff very helpful. Old Havana awaits from the front door, close to the harbour and all the main sights within walking distance. Plenty of good bars and restaurants all around. Taxis etc also. It was your first and last stop on our tour of the Island and ticked every box.
