Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice small hotel situated close to the Paseo de Prada pedestrian walkway which conveniently leads to the Old Havana area. Good walkable location. Close to the waterfront. Wi-Fi hotspot shared by the receptionist is free but limited, otherwise no Wi-Fi. Transportation from airport at guest expense and arrangement, receptionist will arrange return taxi to airport at guest expense. No coffee/tea maker in room, mini fridge stocked and available for extra $. Breakfast available for extra $. Nice rooftop patio/bar with lackluster view. Very noisy area. Room was comfortable although bedroom/loft upstairs and bathroom downstairs seemed strange. GREAT water pressure and bath amenities. Be sure your taxi driver takes you to the correct airport terminal, if not it will require you finding another taxi ride as terminals are 2-3 kilometers apart, not connected or walkable. I consider this hotel to be adequate and a good but not great value price wise. Front desk receptionist Diana was super friendly, gracious, helpful and informative.

Choosing VIP Morro for the place where I proposed to my girlfriend turned out to be a great decision! My plan was to propose on the rooftop bar at midnight on New Year’s Eve. However, I had no idea what do expect and no contacts to help me as this was my first trip to Cuba. Luckily I found Dionisio at VIP Morro! He and his staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. We were truly treated like VIPs- very appropriate for a hotel with “VIP” in the name. Thanks to their help, the proposal went perfectly and the staff even acted as our camera crew and videographers! We are so grateful that we’ll have that perfect memory preserved forever. The room was incredible and lacked no luxury! They even somehow had Bath & Body Works foaming hand soap which I was amazed at since I could hardly find any hand soap in the entire country of Cuba! It was those little details that really stood out and set the VIP Morro apart from the other hotels that we started at. But the customer service really made the biggest impression and the VIP Morro will always be “Our Place” and Dionisio and staff will always be our friends!

I have stayed in several locations throughout Cuba and this is by far my favorite!! It's a charming little Boutique Hotel in Habana with Cuban flair/architecture offering fantastic views! The staff was extremely friendly, especially Francy G. Amazing location, easy walk to the Malecon and a great rooftop bar. Having a balcony is something I always try to have and this one had superb views. Not to mention its wonderful breakfast options. What more could you ask for? Except for staying longer!

Very well located boutique hotel, a little gem a 5-minute walk from Malecon. The rooms have A/, are clean and with all kind of amenities. The hotel is modern and the service friendly. Upstairs you can find a wonderful chill out, where we really enjoyed cigars and a rum taste with the manager Dionisio, always helpful and paying attention of any need we had, respecting privacy. Despite its small size, this hotel delivers big on all fronts. Will definitely recommend and come next time we're in Havana!

Location is great! Walking distance from restaurants and great starting point for Old Havana. The breakfast on the roof is fresh, big and delicious. Francy at reception was the best. Perfect English, hands on and helpful in every way. Room was open space concept, clean and pretty. Comfy bed with the softest sheets. Great alternative to the big corporate hotels. Support local businesses!

My work in the music business means that I stay in many hotels all over the world, its only on the rare occassion that i feel it neccesarry to write a review. VIP Morrow is absolutely fantastic and in such an ideal location. I have travelled out to Havana times and stayed in various hotels VIP Morro is by far the best and from now on be my 'go to hotel' without question. The rooms are well designed and spacious with all the modern facilities you would expect and of course clean. The private roof top bar is an excellent facility and very cool. However, if there was one thing I would say stands more than anything its the staff... they are beyond brilliant, very polite , welcoming and easy to have a conversation with. I can't recommend VIP Morro highly enough, i'm sure many will agree. Pete Goulding

We spent the last two nights of our honeymoon at the VIP Morro in Havana. After having spent a week in cuba, passing through the big hotel chain experience for three nights at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Packard in Havana (which was very good) and then what were supposed to be 4 nights at the Royalton Hicacos ("5 star luxury resort in Varadero), arriving to this small boutique hotel in the center of Havana was clearly a breath of fresh air. Not knowing where we came from it even that we were on our honeymoon, from the moment we set foot inside the hotel we were treated like we were at home. Firstly by Francy who was on her very first day on the job (but clearly has a bright future ahead of her) and later by the owner, who made us feel that there is hope for this Amazing city in what concerns hospitality and hotel management. That being said, it is a small hotel with only 5 rooms, alocated in a typical old Havana style building, with a rooftop bar where the evenings are cheerfull and filled with good music, and also where an amazing personalized breakfast is served for only 10.00cuc. The bed was big and very comfortable, everything was new and very well decorated, and the shower was excellent (what seemed to be a challenge all around Cuba). For all these we thank the personal of the hotel for providing such a pleasent ending to our so special trip, and wish them all the greatest success! Higly advised! Mariana & David, from Portugal.
