I have the best experience with this place. Very nice and kind hosts, good location and great environment. Very nice roof terrace to have breakfest on or just to hang out while enjoying an amazing view of Havana's panorama. When visiting Havana hopefully someday again, no doubt I will visit this place again.

We recently stayted four nights and can highly recommend staying at Casa Dania at Old Havana. It is well located, the rooms are fresh and clean and serviced daily, the staff are warm and helpful and the breakfast on the terrazza is senstational. Make sure you enjoy it. We also enjoyed eating at the family's restaurant which is nearby. It is on the fifth level and access is tight so if that's an issue for you it might not be the best place, otherwise it is perfect. Even the beds are comfortable!

Review of Casa Dania Travelled January 2015 Dania & Yosvani were great hosts, really making my day very special. The rooms were spacious and very clean and most of all their deck at the top of the building was awesome. I recommend that if you visit Cuba, to stay in the heart of old Havana and this is the place for you!

This is my 2nd stay at this casa. I stayed here in 2011, it is kept on the same nice level. The only one point minus is for the very difficult way upstairs with suitcases and baby stroller. The rest is wonderful.

Spent 4 delightful nights surrounded by very friendly and helpful people. Arrived Havana about 10pm on a rainy night and were made welcome and at home... We were a group of 10 friends and after a long tiring flight and Ricardo helped us with all our luggage up the stairs... Dania was there for us in the morning to welcome us with a beautiful breakfast on the balcony. I would highly recommend this Casa to all my friends visiting Old Havana.

We chose this place because of the other reviews - they were right in every respect. Unassuming entrance doorway takes you to those steps. They are even steeper and narrower than I imagined they would be. I think there had been some rain before we arrived and they were a bit wet as well, so carrying 2 heavy suitcases to the top was a challenge. I am pushing 60 but I felt a lot older by the time I'd got them up there! We were met by Dania. She doesn't say a lot but I think that is down to the language problem. We sit for a while in her living room which you pass through to get to the room. She is often there, smoking. We had the room with a little balcony. It's not much but I'm glad we could step through a door and look out. It's by no means a classic view but really good to take in the sights and sounds of the town. It's a noisy place, but surprisingly quiet when you close the window and switch on the AC. The room is basic but very clean and has the essentials, including a safe. It was serviced every day. There is a communal fridge for guests on the landing where you can also buy drinks. This place is all about the location and the roof terrace. A fantastic place to have breakfast overlooking the city with iconic views. Breakfast of eggs, fruit, juice, bread and coffee is served by the delightful Carmin. She doesn't speak a word of English but is very sweet and smiley. The location of the apartment is right in the middle of Old Town and gives you the perfect experience of living here for a little while. Dania's family own the Tapas Bar of El Chanchurillo just a couple of blocks away and is probably the best place to eat in town. I would highly recommend staying here and going to their restaurant. But get in training for those steps.

We had a fantastic 2 night stay in Cuba at Casa Dania. Our flight got in very late and we only made it up the 4 flights of stairs (hard with suitcases!) about 1 am but we still received a warm welcome. The hosts speak little English (they can understand some but reply in Spanish). Our room was basic but very clean and with a small balcony looking over old Havana. The bathroom was also clean and tidy with a hot shower. The room was very comfortable and had air conditioning. The breakfast and roof terrace is what makes this place though. It was the highlight of our trip. Strong Cuban coffee, fruit smoothies, eggs as you want them, break and a fruit platter all with a magnificent view over old Havana and the Capitolio make for an outstanding start to the day. We could not have been happier with our accommodation and the lovely, welcoming people who looked after us and our young daughter. Thank you so much and we hope to stay with you again.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay and wished we would have booked Casa Dania for our entire trip. Me and 5 girl friends had planned a 4 night stay in Havana. The place we had originally wanted to stay at that we booked on another site was only available for 2 nights. So since we had never been to Cuba before we thought it would be a great idea to just book at 2 different casa's to get a better feel of local life. Casa Dania was a last minute choice and the best decision we made. When we arrived we were welcomed by her staff and taken to our rooms. We booked 2 rooms and they were lovely. I wish i took picture because the ones on Tripadvisor are dated. The rooms have all been updated and are nice and clean and sealed well. All to american standards. Everything was perfect we felt so safe and clean while staying at her place. The air condition works great and there was never an issue with the hot water. We were definitely spoiled while at Casa Dania compared to the place we stayed the last 2 nights. Dania and the people that worked for her were so nice and welcoming. Dania's place is ran more like a hotel than anything. I believe she has 3 rooms at least with their own bathrooms. We rented 2 and there was also a French couple staying there as well. The apartment is so big that you hardly ever run into anyone. Dania and her Daughter also stay there and I personally liked that. It made you feel a little safer knowing that you were not there alone. The casa is in a great location. 2 blocks from the bank and lots of restaurants and shops. Habana 61 and O'Riley's 304 were our favorites and just a few blocks away. Her street is pretty clean with few pot holes and not too much garbage and what not like other areas we were in. If you don't stay in a Hotel this is the Casa you need to stay at. I promise you will not be disappointed.

We arrived at Casa Dania to find our rooms bathroom had a leak and Dania was in the process of fixing it with cement. She arranged for us to stay with her neighbour below for 3 nights instead but still gave us keys to her place so we could enjoy the terrace! What a great find, we had breakfast at Danias every morning on the terrace and Juana prepared lovely food! The view from this place is amazing over old havana and was a great place to relax in the afternoons in the shade and with a breeze when exploring got too hot! Its a shame we didn't have our room but we were so happy with the terrace we didn't mind. I would recommend this casa to anyone wanting to explore Havana Vieja.

The room was very clean and modern. One double bed and one single bed and full private bathroom. The best thing about this place was the terrace. The building is right in old Havana and quite a few stories high so the view was 360 degrees and amazing. Lots of comfy chairs and pillows and a great respite from the city if you need it. Good breakfast, not sure if they offer dinner. The downside was that the owner and her daughter weren't overly friendly and you had to seek them out if you had a question or wanted to pay. Who knows if it is always like this or if something was going on in their lives, hard to say. If you want personal interaction with Cubans it might not be your best bet but comfort, location, and the terrace made up for it.
