This casa is in the perfect location for those wanting to explore Havana. It is in Centro Habana, within easy walking distance of Habana Vieja and Vedado. Also, although there is plenty of life in the street throughout the day, it is not in a noisy area at night. Odalys looked after us very well, providing delicious breakfasts, and we were lucky enough to coincide with a visit by the Italian owner of the property who made us feel very welcome. If you want to stay in the heart of the city, I would recommend Ca'Sita.
It was a great surprise staying at Ca’Sita. Strongly recommended. It was clean, confortable, well located, family soul, the breakfast is just about what you need for starting having fun in Havana. The hostess Odalis is very sympatic. I could stay leaving there forever. Do not know yet? You must. IVES MÜLLER, a Havana and Scuba DIVE lover
Staying at Ca’Sita felt like being at home. I was able to spend some quality time with Sita and Odalis getting to know all about the Cuban culture. The location is right in Central Havana, fully immersed in the Cuban culture and with very few tourists around. It is the perfect place to experience the raw authentic Cuban life, surrounded by vendors and local people. This casa particular is very well kept, styled with furniture from the 50's with a beautiful old radio in the living room. The balconies in the living room are the perfect spot for watching people; the street is always on the go, with local families living their lives and vendors selling bread, vegetables, garlic, and all kinds of fruit. The Malecon is only a 5 minute walk from the b&b, a beautiful place to walk during sunrise or sunset. Old Havana is about a 15 minute walk or just a couple of minutes on the local inexpensive taxi bikes. The rooms are the perfect place to relax after spending the day out and about; the rooms are very clean, have air conditioning, very comfortable beds and extremely clean bathrooms with warm showers. Breakfast is served every morning with a wide variety of options, satisfying both international breakfast or local food lovers. Eggs and toast, crepes, omelettes, bread, tea, italian style coffee, but also fresh fruits such as papaya, guava, plantains, guava juice, coconut spread on freshly baked cookies...my favorite part of the stay! Upon availability, the host offers a pick up service upon arrival and drop-off to the airport on vintage car taxi. Best way to start and end your vacation! The hosts are extremely helpful in recommending places to visit and where to eat (Fabrica de Arte Cubano, Fusterlandia, a local theatre, Miniature Havana...).…
I have just come back froma 13 solo trip to Cuba. I stayed at Ca'Sita B&B for approximately one week, and I can honestly say I had a spectacular time there. The house is beautiful, it really captures the locked in time feel that so many tourists go to Havana to see. The 50's style furniture and even the old decorative radio give the house a stylish edge from other hostels (casas particulares) that I have stayed in. But the main reason I am writing this review is because of Odalys. Odalys is the caretaker of the house, and I am sure the house would not be the same without her. Her warm, caring, loving and maternal personality makes you feel right at home. Travelling alone at times can be difficult, especially when you do not know the area that you will be staying in. Odalys constantly gave me advice, ideas for activities to do, she told me about the best deals in the area. Everyday that I came back home I most looked forward to seeing her and catching her up with all the events of my day. She is such a beautiful person in and out and I feel so privileged to have met her. She honestly became like my second mother on this trip and I cannot wait to go back to Cuba to see her again. The house is clean, comfortable, warm, there is no doubt about it, whoever chooses to stay in this house will love it. The location is right in Central Havana, a walking distance away from Old Havana. If you are looking for a full immersion into Cuban culture, I could not recommend a better place to stay.…
I originally booked one night in Ca'Sita B&B, but after the first night I extended my stay and ended up staying 15 days ! I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere of my hosts, the great breakfast and the comfortable room. Overall, a great experience... I warmly recomand
Wow! We had the priviladge of meeting the owner of Ca'Sita, Ms Sita. A beautiful b&b in the heart of Central Havana. We had an ensuite and felt like we were transported back in time. The neighbours were incredibly friendly and helpful too. We chose here as we had already spent time staying in Old Havana. Breakfast was included in the price and Sita was incredibly accommodating in food requirements. The bed super comfortable, shower had good pressure and AC very effective.
Me and my partner spent 5 nights here.It was very well maintained and super clean house. Renovated, new and fresh - Cuban colonial style - absolutely beautiful. Location was good - 20 min walk to the center of Havana Vieja. Breakfast was alright. I preferred only black coffee because I dont eat eggs or omelet with potatoes inside. However, the little bananas were delicious. Filtered drinking water was super good for us every day available from the fridge. Good variety of other fresh fruits have been only served in the living room to an American family who stayed in the casa at the same time. I felt a little bit jealous of that, but anyway may be they were more important because they were from New York.Unfortunately, the host - a lady called Odalis didn't speak any English,so our communication was poor because we dont speak Spanish. But she was very nice and helpful, she organised for us our airport transfer for only 30CUC to the airport in a nice convertible retro car.The street was quite noisy, but this is Cuba-people sing and dance in the middle of the night under your balcony. Its probably normal. The neighbor also on Friday night played super loud music - but I belive this is normal too.The double bed was small and not comfortable for 2 people, but I believe this is probably normal size bed for this type of standard of living. The inside filling in the pillows was also something strange-it didn't felt like normal pillow...may be chunks of fabrics. But actually the studio was quite cozy and nice, the little balcony and the bathroom as well.So rmantic. In general,we were very happy and this house was much higher standard than the average casas in Havana.Great price, clean house and good location.…
After two weeks in Cuba - visiting Havana, Trinidad, Playa Giron and Vinales - I had one last night in Havana. This loft apartment was truly amazing and a real treat. There's a lot of cheaper options in Havana but it was really nice to have a touch of class and luxury to cap off a great trip to Cuba. The lady who manages the place was lovely and went out of to help and even make a papaya milkshake before I had to head out to the airport.
I just returned from 9 glorious days with my 2 daughters at Ca'SIta B&B. It was the perfect place to stay to experience real Havana in a neighborhood with few tourists. Centrally located, this B&B is a blend of Cuban and European styles, with very high ceilings, lovely furnishings and balconies overlooking the street. The room was well air conditioned, always cleaned and a perfect place to retreat to after a long day out in Havana and the environs. Breakfast every day included fruit, eggs, bread, juice and coffee. Odalis was a gem. She was attentive to all of our needs and arranged excursions for us (beaches, Vinales, Airport). All in all a wonderful stay!
First off, the airport transfer - Leo picked us up in a bright orange convertible car - fantastic start to the trip. He was also wonderfully helpfully when advising how/ where to exchange money. The accommodation itself was completely spotless. Gorgeous, spacious room with air conditioning and very modern bathroom. Sita, her Mum and Leo couldn't have done anything more to make us feel welcome. They recommended restaurants, dropped us at the bus station (and came in to check our tickets and where we needed to be), made us a 5am breakfast so we could make our bus, offered numerous local services. Just WOW! If we were going back to Havana, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Location is also good - about 5 minutes to the Malecon, and then a 20 minute walk to Old Havana - such an interesting walk, the streets are so lively! We felt extremely welcome and very safe. Thank you Sita and Leo!…
