Napper by Rottenberg is a beautiful renovated house in an exclusive area of Havana. This is not the old city - life is quieter here. There are several great restaurants on the main streets. The house is fantastic - the staff wonderful. The rooms are all beautiful - well appointed - great bathrooms - strong WIFI usually. Breakfast was plentiful and good. We stayed here and in the old city - both were great experiences - each unique. Would definitely recommend this house.
I just stayed here with my family of 5 and it was truely a memorable stay. The staff are very sincere and accomodating. As first timers to Cuba, it was hard to decide which restaurants to try and places to see - the staff served as personal concierges with many recommendations, making this trip to Havana an incredible one! The place was very clean, and the inclusive breakfast that we had each morning was delicious. Enrique Rottenberg’s artwork that illuminated the walls of the house was very quirky and beautiful, making this a very charming place to stay. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Cuba!
I would highly recommend this property to everyone. After many years I went back to Cuba and decided to stay at Napper. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Friendly staff who delivers the highest service made me feel welcome during the entire stay. The property was super clean, spacious rooms and baths and nicely decorated. Napper offers the luxury of a 5 star hotel but comfy and warm as my own home. Also, great location !! If I ever go back to the island I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Yvette and her team of staff certainly managed to make my stay in Havana more than worthwhile. This is a country that may lack the cuisines or opulence of European destinations, but it certainly makes up for it in its abundance of hospitality and culture. It truly invites you to experience a world many are not used to. Coming back to this casa every day made life sweet after tobacco plantation exploring, horse riding, beach time and salsa dancing. Breakfast was always served with the most lovely of people and being in Vedado, where there are huge houses and much restoration going on, you really feel like you have gone back in time to what Havana could be, if people were allowed to earn a decent wage! Everyone who stayed here were here to experience true Cuban life, so again, we made friends and fell in love with the staff and certainly felt at home. I honestly think if you want to live life like a fortunate Cuban, this is the place to go!…
We had an exellent stay of 5 days in Oleo Habana. The old kolonial house is beautifully restored with designer interieur, mixture of modern art with classic furniture. It is a gem amongst others with a luxury feel. The rooms are very nice, at a high standard of quality and very, very clean. We had a excellent bed, nice modern bathroom with a rainshower. Nice and quit, not too much surrounding sounds as you can have when staying downtown. Good airconditioning too. Amazing breakfast in a small, cosy breakfast area with open doors to the garden terras. It has everything you need from fresh juice and fruits, to assorted bread and eggs any style. For drinks there is also a small bar with cocktails, bites and more. The house has a nice vibe, that feels like you're actually staying in a casa particular, but with the service of a 5 star hotel. Absolutely amazing staff, they were so friendly and definitely made us feel like home! They provide you with everyting you need and love to help you with calling taxi's or make reservations for restaurants, while speaking excellent English. We did not had the chance to meet the owners of the house, as they where abroad for a few days. Yes the house is in Vedado. This is the university area and it is much more quit and relaxt, where you can meet a lot of locals. It is about 8-10 min with a cab to the old city centre. We loved it, because you are away from the busy, touristic centre of Havana, but still at reasonable distance. If you wan't to stay at walking distance from the central of old Habana squares, then this is not your place to go. There are a few good paladares (house restaurants) at walking distance, for instance Grado which is very good. We can recommend this place for a stay up to 5 days. From here we planned a day trip to the Vinales area and did an oldtimer tour. Great way to explore the city. We would like to thank the staff for our amazing stay and definitely will be back some day!…
This overpriced private house that Tripadvisor makes it appear as a hotel in their listing is located in a very convenient touristic, relatively cheap area BUT is in NEW VEDADO not in VEDADO as expressed in the website. This makes it far away from everything actually. The building comprises 4 rooms Excellent and helpful staff, but it is an overpriced place. They charge double the price of internet . Rooms do not have a nice view as they look at the back at the building. bit dark rooms. I won't recommend and suggest you look for a hotel or another Casa Particular
This house is simply stunning, the garden, the art, the rooms and also the staff, so lovely and helpful ! Oleo Habana is well located in Vedado in a quiet street. Their continental style breakfast and coktails are really good, thanks !
