We can’t recommend a stay in Casa Caribbean Blue highly enough. The house was great and nothing was too much trouble for the team. We didn’t just make a visit to the Casa, we made friends there too. We can’t wait to go back Cuba, Havana and Casa Caribbean Blue. Hasta la proxima, nuestros queridos compañeros.
We are just back from our trip to Havana. We stayed in the CasaCaribbeanBlue for 10 days and enjoyed every minute of every day there. Teresita is the lady of the house who oversees everything to a very high standard. The rooms are spotless, cleaned each day by Carmen or Olga. The breakfast is wonderful, fresh fruit ,eggs, pancakes, toast and the best coffee I tasted in Cuba. Noel and his daughter Sandra look after front of house and accommodate the guests every need. They speak prefect English and Noel I believe speaks many other languages. Sandra is available for small group guided tours to the city and will take you on the public bus to experience a truly authentic Cuban experience. I cannot recommend this Casa enough and I have stayed in top Cuban hotels and preferred the hospitality we received in Casa Caribbean Blue. Thank you Teresita Noel Sandra Carmen and Olga for making this a holiday to remember. Deirdre and John Cork Ireland 🇨🇺❤️…
This casa is a clean and comfortable old house with huge high ceilings and an air of grandeur. Great location, quiet street but not far from restaurants or old Havana. But the best thing about it is Noel who was so kind and generous with his time and recommendations for things to do and places to eat. A gem of a place and a man!
Beautiful casa in Verdado region of Havana. The facilities and house were perfect, we had a very spacious double room with ensuite and a safe and there was a beautiful patio out the front to rest in the afternoon heat. The location is walking distance to many of Cuba's main sites, (Revolutionary square, Fabrico de arte, Hotel Nacional) and only a short bus ride or taxi to Havana old town. The helpfulness of the host Noel and the welcome received from his family and ladies in the casa is what made this stay for us. Noel gave us such a comprehensive introduction not only to Havana but to all of Cuba, including all the top places to visit, food and drink recommendations, other casas and lots of very useful tips and information for Havana and Cuba in general. We will be recommending this casa to everyone who is thinking about coming to Havana. Thank you to all at Casa Caribbean blue. Couple 30 from Ireland…
Fantastic place, very clean and comfortable. I had only one night at this place and regretted that didn’t book in advance longer stay in this casa. Although I was travelling along, this is a wonderful place to stay with a family. All people who work there have wonderful personalized approach and sincere wish to make visit of their guests comfortable, interesting and safe. Noel speaks not only English, Spanish, but also Russian, which is very beneficial for Russian speaking guests.
The hotel itself is simple, but clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. We stayed in Room 2, which had a full-sized bed and a separate, private bathroom. Room had a mini-fridge stocked with water, beer, and soft drinks. Keep in mind that this is a casa/bed and breakfast in a city that is really struggling with rationing, scarce resources, and minimal development. Walking around much of Havana was really depressing. So this isn’t a five-star Hotel, but the property itself is in good shape, especially compared to the other houses in the area. The best part of the stay was the host Pedro and his daughter Sandra. Pedro is a fascinating man with really amazing experiences, unassuming but willing to share. We stayed up talking to them until 1:00 in the morning our first night in Havana. On his recommendation, we had dinner at La Paila (which was great) and spent the next couple of days wandering Havana, stopping at many of the places Pedro marked on the map for us. He gave us the map and marked it with points of interest (La Bodeguita del Medio, La Floridita, Hotel Habana Libre, etc). We really loved our stay. I want to note: we had considered staying at a hotel but were really glad we stayed here instead, as first-time visitors to Havana. At a hotel, there is a concierge, but at CasaCaribbeanBlue1927, you get Pedro, who is SO informative, he really set us up for a great trip through Havana. …
I read the reviews, prior to our trip to Havanna. Everything that was written about the people who run this B and B are true! Terisita is the owner and she is a lovely lady. She made us feel instantly at home. Noel is the person who makes everything run smoothly. He would sit with us each day we returned to the home and provide us with education and suggestions for other places we might want to see. By the end of our visit, our family felt like we had made new friends in the country. We recomend this home to anyone who wants to experiance life in an neighborhood. We never felt unsafe, walking the streets of this neighborhood.
There would be a lot to say but I'll try to keep it brief: this a special house, with special hosts, in a special neighborhood. Señ.a Teresita -who was there during my stay but usually lives in Canada-, Pedro Noel and Sandra have a wealth of stories and anecdotes about Cuba and Cubans (but not only, they travelled extensively) to share with you, while Carmen and Olga will prepare a delicious breakfast that will keep you going the whole day. The house itself is just beautiful, with huge rooms and a lovely porch where you can smoke a cigar, or just have a conversation, while swinging on a rocking chair. Part of the love for the city of La Habana (that's if you'll fall in love with her) will be because of this house and most importantly its inhabitants. (Mattia)
Just returned from a wonderful trip around Cuba. We spent our final two nights in Casa Caribbean Blue in Havana. This Casa is a great example of a Cuban colonial house at it’s very best. We had a comfortable bedroom, large bathroom and a beautiful terrace where we could relax and enjoy a coffee from time to time! Our hosts were most welcoming and we enjoyed telling them about our adventures and hearing more about beautiful Cuba. Noel arranged a lovely old car to bring us to the airport. All in all a super end to a super holiday, thank you all so much.
The rooms were nice an clean. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and multifarious. We loved to stay there and would come back again - hopefully very soon! Its defenetly a place we can suggest to stay. Thank you Maribel for your excellent service.
